The Adventurer System

When the time Hippie was afraid to separate from Grim. She tightly embraced Grim's waist and hardly pushed him, it was enough reason for him to suddenly slip.

Swoosh!

After were few moments, both of them came out of the blue portal. Yumiro annoyingly scratched the back of his head.

"Why you suddenly pushed me? You didn't see? We fell into a different portal." Yumiro said in a low voice.

"I apologize, Grim. I just got worried that we couldn't meet inside the portal. So I tried to attain so much closer distance, to avoid that kind of scenario." Hippie explained with a weak tone.

"Fine, fine, fine. Forget about it. We should more focus on this place." He waved his left hand as he wanted to end a useless conversation like this. 

A cold breeze touched their skin, and it helped to give them a piece of mind. To begin with, he darted his eyes left and right.

"What the heck? What is this place?"

Hippie and Yumiro were standing under the arc, while in front of them was a destroyed water sculpture.

After a few seconds, he started to smell the smell of iron that easily encircled the entire place.

Splash!

Hippie stepped back a bit after seeing the water sculpture carved with an angel outward appearance released uncontrollably blood.

They covered their mouth and nose, as the smell was getting strong.

"Grim, what is the meaning of this? Why there's blood coming out from that?!" Hippie hurriedly asked him.

He slowly turned and narrowly looking at Hippie's face. "Why are you asking me? We arrive here at the same time, of course, I'm still clueless about this."

He clicked his tongue, and back his gaze all over the place. Or to be simple, in front of him was a rounded sculpture and each side consisted of numerous pillars and a hallway.

Behind the sculpture, was a passageway in a dark place. Yumiro couldn't recognize what was inside.

"I guess... Do we need to go to that place?" He suggested nonchalantly.

"Is that so? But, what if we will face the strong monsters out there." Hippie set to her mind that she must not slow down the pacing of this expedition. Since she made a lot of trouble to Grim.

"What else can we do? Of course, we are going to fight back. Don't ask some questions if the answers are too obvious." Yumiro coldly responded, then didn't hesitate to proceed in their expedition.

As of now, Yumiro couldn't tell if there was any type of monster near to them. However, he didn't take away in his mind the possibility the monsters would launch a surprise attack.

They already passed at the sculpture, where the blood smell hanged inside their noise.

"This is disgusting, where is the blood came from?" Hippie asked herself while observing the sculpture. As she was looking for the origin of this blood. "The blood is already flowing to the ground, but why I can't find this origin?" 

"Don't waste your time there, let's get inside." He ordered her after seeing Hippie stopped in the structure.

Within 50 meters length, Yumiro transpicuous the arc that seems headed in a perilous place. "Build the masterpiece? So I need to collect all the pieces of the puzzle."

Hippie and Yumiro were aware that they needed to gather all the puzzles until the last pieces. Yet, the main question here was "Where?", it was hard for them to find an object without holding any lead.

Hippie unexpectedly tugged Grim's shirt while pointing her index finger at the blue portal. " Grim, we have a problem. The portal is shrinking!" She yelled.

He frowned his brows, then used all his skill to enhance his agility. But still, the blue portal disappeared and he couldn't anything to stop it.

His feet were screeching on the motte surface, as he quickly stopped his swift momentum. "Shit! This is a big problem, tch!"

No one could expect the blue portal will vanish in a short time. As they thinking this was the only way to get back on the oval stage after completing their job here.

3 minutes had instantly passed, then now Yumiro looking at the woman kneeled on the ground. And didn't care even some blood touching her legs.

"Hey, how long you're being like that, huh? As you said, this is a game. This means we could find a way to escape in this place." Yumiro said, then mildly tapped Hippie's head.

"Yeah, let's leave this place as soon as possible." She pushed herself into a stood-up position, then followed him.

Before the arc, two pillars were standing on each side. On top of that, it has an image that none of them couldn't recognize.

"Hippie, do you know what is this?" He pointed his index finger at each pillar.

She shook her head with an uncomfortable smile on her face. "Sorry, Grim. But I don't have an idea--"

Hippie blinking her eyes in confusion, when Grim grabbed her head. Then moved it closer to the pillar. "Oi! What are you doing! It's harassment!"

"Focus, and take a look at this closer. We should find any basic information about the things here also the monsters. Since I noticed, the information given by the system it isn't enough." He explained while waited for the woman's response.

"You can ask me directly, and also you didn't need to force if I'm doing a small job like this." Hippie tapped Grim's arm, then took a glance at the pillar. "It's like a picture of a monster, but I didn't assure with this. Because the image is already destroyed." Hippie said in a low voice.

"It's still useless information, we can't find anything with it. We should continue." Yumiro walked towards the stairs that had 5 stops, and now standing in an arc, or to be exact, in front of the corridor.

"Grim, I feel something bad about this." Hippie said.

"I can feel it too, but we are already here. We can't afford to give away the quest given by the system." Yumiro said and didn't notice he spoke about the Barlane quest. So he secretly looking at Hippie that positioned on his behind. Trying to figure out how Hippie would respond to this.

Luckily, Hippie couldn't hear anything as the darkness also petrified all her senses. Yumiro deeply sighed while holding his chest. "What a relief, but should hide it from her?"

At this juncture, he was wondering if needed to spit about his quest. As she was also part of this quest.

"No, this is not the right time. I'll tell once I finish this." He uttered to his mind, then added. "Raise your guard, the monsters are probably in front of us."

She nodded. "Yes, Grim. I promise I'll repay all my mistakes in this place."

"Whatever..."

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

The yellow-green lamps mounted onto the wall were automatically lightened up. Inside, he couldn't determine the length of this corridor, however, the width of this place was around 5 meters.

"It's hard to fight with this place." Yumiro snickered as there was a high possibility the monsters here weren't that huge.

In 76 meters distance, Yumiro saw an intersection that split into different directions. In his mind, even though they weren't inside the Barlane Dungeon. The dungeon settings were still the same.

As soon as they reached that place, both of them carefully stopped. He then barely tilted his head while coldly looking at Hippie's blanched cheek. "Hey, you. Which path we should take? I need your answer right now." He commanded her.

Hippie understood this wasn't the right time to refuse his request. So she pointed her index finger at the right path. "Let's take the right path, I can feel this is a safe place among those two paths."

Yumiro agreed to her without making any second thoughts. He went to the right side, then seeing a strong brightness in the endpoint of it.

"I guess you're right." Yumiro said in a low voice.

"Of course, Grim! I'm really good with guessing." Hippie confidence suddenly boosted. As she thought Grim complimented her.

"Eh? Whatever... I just assigned you because I'm not good with this." He said, then added some speed so they could immediately reach the endpoint.

"Wait, Grim. Don't rush! Please wait for me!" She hurriedly said and dashed towards him. 'He's not running, but how he could have that kind of speed? I feel like, I'm having an expedition with a high-level adventurer." She uttered to he mind.

After a couple of seconds, Hippie saw Grim standing in the endpoint. "What's going on there, huh?" Hippie asked him while panting. 

"I'm not sure..." Yumiro replied in surprise.

In the endpoint, they saw a vast platform covered by a blue line and chest the center of it.

"Grim, look! A chest loot, we can get the rare item with this!" Hippie cheerfully said.

"I know, but I know there's something that will happen if we go there. What we should pick right now?"
