The Adventurer System

Chapter 33 - Quest From The Elves

"Eh? What? Why? I didn't do anything wrong here. I'm just passing by." Yumiro explained to them what precisely happened to him.

"Do you think, anyone here would believe you? First of all, you can't accidentally enter our village without any ulterior motives."

Based on that voice and its wrist, the creature pointing a knife on his neck also wearing a black robe was a woman

Thud!

Yumiro was aware if this continues, the knife could stab his neck. So he barely bent his body outward and kicked the woman's arm with his basic attack.

His left leg forming a 90° arc along with force. Moreover, it was strong enough for the woman to step back and remove the black hood on her head.

"Tch! She's different." He mumbled as the woman in front of him was quite fast to dodge his attack in a short time.

However, he was astonished when the moment he had seen the woman's outward appearance.

She has narrow eyes, sharp ears, blue eyes, an average body, and emerald green hair. By seeing her, he could easily tell this woman has belonged to the elf race.

Her glittering green hair mildly stroked back, then suddenly, the two men had bulk physique swiftly locked down Yumiro's arms. To stop him from fighting back.

"What?" He frowned his brows, as he didn't anticipate those men skillfully caught him.

Despite his current situation, Yumiro seemed not worried about them. Knowing the strength he had right now could send those men back to their niches.

He took a deep breath, as he realized he needed to calm down his head first. To resolve this problem without making a big scene in this village.

At this point, there's a thing that bothered his mind. "Why they didn't have screen names over their heads? What is this means?" He uttered to his mind, then blinking his eyes in a confusion. Just to assure his eyes didn't deceive him.

"We should kill him right now! This man tries to invade our village, we can't let him live." The woman had emerald green hair suggested, and the other non-human creatures on her back were nodded as they agreed to her.

"What?! I'm not an invader, and I already said I'm just an ordinary adventurer who passing by." Yumiro explained to them once more.

Yet, he was readying his [Physical transmission] skill. To protect himself if those elves attack him.

"You should stop, Celine! Never decide for yourself, and don't forget I'm the elder of this village so the final decision will come from me. Loosen him!" A yelled from the back was heard by everyone.

Although he couldn't determine the exact outward appearance of the creature who yelled. But, based on its tone the voice came from the old man, and the only old man there was walking in the amid while holding a supporting stick.

The old man sauntered closer to the scene, and Yumiro felt that creature wouldn't hurt him. Besides if he wanted to escape with them, he could do it in an instant.

His supporting stick kept tapping on the golden-brown dried surface. As soon as the old man standing in front of the adventurer, he cleared his throat before he introduced himself.

"I'm Caron, t-the Elder of this small village of Elves. I-f you don't mind, adventurer, what is the reason why you came to our village?" Caron asked him with a shivered it because of his age.

Yumiro sighed with relief. "Phew! Thank you, elder Caron. From saving me. Nevertheless, I don't have any ulterior motives with your village." He replied nonchalantly.

"Is that so... I understand. But first thing first, how did you exactly find out our hidden village? Or to be more simple, how could you get the access to our village because this place is only for the elve race." Caron said while looking at the adventurer's eyes and using his sharp ears and eyes. To find out, if this man was lying to him.

"To be honest, I don't the reason why I ended up here. On top of that, you said this is a hidden village, but can be seen by anyone who passes by." Yumiro replied in a low voice.

The scene for Caron was started to be suspicious. In his mind, a long time ago they used all their magic powers to conceal this village from the other races. Yet, he knew there was one item that could locate their village, so he asked him.

"Young adventurer, what's your name? So we can have a formal conversation inside my niche."

"I'm Grim Draigh, there's no need for a formal conversation. I can leave seems you're not comfortable that I'm here."

"There's a couple of questions I would like to ask, also, it's already dark and you arrive at the perfect time because we will be having a feast dinner."

But Celine intervened with their conversation. "Elder, Caron. What are you saying?! He's an intruder. Let him leave, he really wanted it."

"Stop it, Celine. Don't be rude to the adventurer." Caron replied and asked Yumiro once again. "What's your decision? You will accept? Or not?"

Yumiro was smiling maliciously at them, as he remembered the reason why he was brought here.

"There's grilled beef here, isn't it?"

Since Roshy said if he consumed some food in the VR world, it could help to regenerate his fatigue back to 100%.

"Beef?" He took a glance at everyone but seems they were clueless about this. "Or do you mean is the grilled dear? " Caron was confused since it was the first time he heard the beef word.

"Dear or what, I'll join with your dinner." Yumiro said.

Elder Caron chuckled. "I like you, young adventurer, okay it's settled and now followed me." He whirled around that faced to a straight path.

Yumiro nodded at him without making any second thought. But on the other side, Celine one of the elves positioned beside him then murmured some words that she certainly meant it.

"One wrong move, I won't hesitate to cut your head."

He scoffed. "I hope you can do it." He replied with a weak tone. He then followed the old man on his way.

After a few seconds, they stopped at the wooden house and had a polished door. It wasn't bothered him since he was inside the game, so some of the structures were constructed like an old house.

Caron entered first, "I'll guess I should go first," After the wooden door there was a curtain but he couldn't determine which color since the light of the lamp reflected on it.

He swiped the curtain and stepped at the wooden surface. Inside, there was a mini table that was good for 3 people, and around it had several doors that seem passes in a different way.

"Grim Draigh, let's have a seat." Elder Caron said.

Yumiro nodded. "Thank you." He sat on the cotton way more looked like a large pillow, and frowned his brows after he had seen Celine sat beside them. "Why is she always around, Elder Caron?"

"Let her be, she just here to protect me. But I know it's no need for that, cause I can tell that you don't have the intention to kill me, right?" He smiled at them while Celine pouring some tea into the wooden cups.

"Oh, I understand. But what is the reason why you bring me here? To be exact, what's your question for me? Also, where the grilled deer?" Yumiro was literally curious to know what it tasted like.

Caron chuckled again. "Let's have a tea for now while waiting for the food to prepare." His eyes started to get serious and change the ambiance of the place. "Where are the white berries?"

"White berry?" He flinched as he remembered he put it inside his pocket. "This is what you want? You can take it, I don't mind it." In his grasp was the berry and he bestowed it to Caron because he could eat the deer meat for the exchange.

"My conclusion is right, no, I don't need that berry." Caron replied while slowly stroking his white beard.

Yumiro opened his inventory then hide the berry inside of it. "Conclusion? What are you saying?"

The two of them were surprised when they saw the white berry suddenly vanished from the sight. "How you possibly did that?" Celine's asked.

"You can do it too, just say the word, Inventory. It's explained from the orientation."

Celine kept saying the word inventory, but it seemed not gonna work for her.

"Before we change the main reason why we are here, tell me what is your conclusion?" Yumiro said.

Caron already understood Yumiro's attitude. "Okay, the reason why see our place, because of the Arsintal berry. Once you eat that, you can see the place that the ordinary eyes can't see."

Yumiro knitted his forehead, as he recalled he didn't take a bite. Yet, he pretended to quickly end their conversation, so he could eat the grilled meat.

"Oh, I see... If you don't have any questions let's eat." He stood up and planning to leave Caron's house since the meat smelled calling him outside.

"Okay, but before that, I'd like to ask some favor." Caron kneeled.

"Why are young kneeling, Elder Caron? You don't need to do that, for the rude man like him." Celine tried to assist him in a seated position.

"Stop, Celine. This is the only thing we can do." Caron said. "Grim Draigh, please save our village from the monster!" He begged.

Celine bit the lower of her lips, as her heart pinched when every time she remembered it. To support her elder, she also kneeled. "Please, adventurer."

Yumiro was really confused why then suddenly asking for his help. Moreover, why he should help him.

"What? You already said this place is hidden, so there's no chance of being target by the monsters." He replied while patted his head all over.

"Please, believe in us."

Yumiro saw their eyes, signed they weren't lying. He smiled maliciously. "Okay, I'll help you, but what I can get from your village? I'll sacrifice my life here, so I need some rewards."

"We don't have any gold here, but we can offer our precious items." Caron said while his head lifted a bit.

He heavily sighed. "As long as it will have benefit, Okay I accept it."

Then suddenly a new screen flashed right before his eyes.

*Ding!*

[A new quest has arrived!]

Yumiro snickered while looking at the screen.. "Leave everything to me."
