The Adventurer System

Yumiro devised a strategy for forcing the aggressive monster to engage in hand-to-hand combat.

In his mind, Celine would undoubtedly die once Korbu continued to launch devastating attacks.

While he waited for the monster to respond, sweat dripped down his temple and into his cheek.

"I'll accept your proposal, human. But, you need to make sure that you'll give me a good fight." Korbu had a malicious smile on his rough face. Also confident that he had full control of this match.

Well, Yumiro was savvy about the extraordinary strength of the kobold monster. On top of that, Korbu was the leader of those monsters. That means Korbu had a lot more strength than the ordinary kobold monsters.

"Eh? Do you believe you can defeat me? However, if the fight occurs in your dreams, it is possible." Yumiro mocked the monster as he hoped to destroy Korbu's focus.

"Eh? Do you think you can beat me? Nevertheless, it's possible if the fight happens in your dreams." Yumiro mocked the monster as he was hoping he could destroy Korbu's focus.

At the exact time, Korbu and Grim were slowly walking towards each other. To officially start the battling between the monster and the adventurer.

By looking at Korbu, you could tell that he was so eager to get separate the human's head from its body.

Grr...

Korbu growled, then eventually, couldn't wait as he was quickly charging in at the Adventurer's location.

Swoosh!

Korbu immediately swung his arm while his keen claws were stretching out. But on the other side, Yumiro didn't bother by these instances. As he knew his rusty gauntlet could absorb that kind of attack.

Swish!

Clang!

Their strong wrists were bumped and their heads were charging at each other. Korbu showing that he'll be going to end this fight while Yumiro was just nonchalant.

"Human, you'll never win against me. Because you're just a pest for my eyes, and top of that, I'll make sure you're going to die after this fight." Korbu said, then unexpectedly he released a massive strength.

Thud!

Both of them were pushed back and created meters of distance between them. So they dash again to settle this fight.

Swish!

Yumiro's feet were slid at the dried surface as Korbu's strength forced him. Nevertheless, Korbu had high agility, which means he could instantly attain a closer distance within the human.

Yumiro has already delayed his movements as Korbu pushed him three meters away from their current position. So he crossed his arms to block the monster's attack.

Thud!

And all of a sudden, he was shocked when his arms were forcefully sent into the mid-air. It seemed Yumiro can't handle the power spike given by the monster.

Yet, Korbu didn't finish with his attack. As he used his hand that had scaled to strongly punch the human's left rib. And stepped forward his right foot to send him back on the marble stone.

Thud!

He involuntarily opened his mouth and some blood splashed out of it. Moreover, Yumiro's fatigue was still not fully regenerated. It looked like, it was also the reason why his movements slow down a bit.

"This monster is planning to corner me." Yumiro rolled to the ground as he wanted to escape from the monster attack. However, Korbu launched a heavy kick on the human's abdomen.

It sent him upwards and Korbu followed up another kick at Yumiro's back.

He slapped to the dried surface and bounced into it a couple of times.

"Fuck! This is frustrating..."

In front of him, a red notification appeared right before his eyes came from the system.

"Tch! This is bad!"

Yumiro wasn't in the situation to shift his position. As Korbu's enormous foot already stepped on his back.

"This is what you did to Motariki, isn't it?" Korbu continuously stomping the human's head.

To lessen the damage he received. Grim placed his hands on the back of his head. Since each of the monster's kicks, Grim's HP was reduced by 10 health points.

Although he had the ring which helped him to regenerate his health power. Still, it wasn't sufficient to replenish all the damages he received.

"1... 2... 3... Now!" In a short time, Grim discovered the precise timing of the monster's attack. "Gotcha!"

He opened his hand, then immediately grabbed the monster's ankle. He then pushed it away from him, so Korbu would lose his footing.

Bam!

As soon as Korbu fell to the ground. Grim quickly stood up and made his distance from him.

"I only have 4 potions here, if I use this right now, my chances to clear this dungeon probably decrease. 

He took a deep breath to calm his mind. Knowing the monster wouldn't waste any amount of time to kill him.

"I thought If I put some marble stone here. Our sneak attacks become more useful in this situation. But the scene happening here turned out into opposite." Yumiro sighed with disappointment.

And all of sudden, Grim heard a honeyed voice from afar.

"Grim, if you want save your life. You can leave right now, this request is too much for you. Sorry for dragging you this, the elve race was happy to receive help from a true adventurer like you." Celine used all her strength to deliver her message.

"Don't speak too much." The only words he could say as he noticed his attitude started to become modest to the others.

Boom!

He flinched after next to him scattered. "Stand up, Human! You invited me to have hand-to-hand combat, and this is all you can give?"

Korbu grabbed Yumiro's white long hair then pulled it up. "You don't want to fight back? So take this!" Korbu twisted his body to gather the strength to fetch him inside the elves' wooden house.

Some of the wood pierced his body for the exchange, his HP reduce again by +70 HP.

If this attack continued, all his health power will be drained to 0% of what was the adventurer avoiding. He pushed himself into a stood-up position and quickly drank again two potions at once.

"Uh, I can't make it!" Then also he took two deer meat and two sweet beverages as he thought the effect could double up. "It's no use the regeneration state is still the same." He closed the widescreen thinking carefully about what he needed to do in this kind of situation.

The kobold flew towards him while his right arms were ready to release a punch. And again, he crossed his arms to lessen the damage, but because of the tremendous strength, he was penetrated again on each wooden house that reduces 30% of his HP.

He chuckled with a weak tone. "This is impossible, this monster is beyond my powers." His back was reclined on the wall while his head bowed with disappointment.

His ears perceived foot stepped that became louder and louder as its coming closer to him. He lifts his head and saw the green eyes of Korbu, which looking for something in Yumiro's grasp.

"Where it is?!" Korbu exclaimed then choked him and pulled him up.

"W...What are you talking about?" Yumiro's head turned red while his HP reduced by 1 in every second.

"I said, where's my brother's heart." Korbu tossed him and kicked him outside back to the open dried surface.

He rolled many times and stopped until he hit a tough object behind him. "The monster core." He already figures out what was Korbu looking for.

While the monster slowing his pace came closer at him, he used that chance to drank the remaining potion since his HP was down by 4. One last attack his existence inside the VR world probably vanish.

He planned to use the 90% percent of his fatigue on his rusty gauntlet, but Korbu noticed it so he launched a fireball out of his mouth to stop the cast.

"I'm aware of your skill, don't try the same trick it isn't working."

Yumiro was persistent to cast again secretly his skill [Physical tranmission] on his left foot, but Korbu had a strong sense, so he easily saw it.

Another fireball landed beside his foot, he stopped with a malicious on his face. In his mind, if this monster kills him, there was one thing that he sure this monster will trigger.

"Once again, give it to me, my brother's heart."

"Inventory." He took the red crystal inside his inventory and slowly raised it. "This is what you want?" He asked, but still his malicious smiled won't fade away on his face.

"Yes! Hurry, give youthat yoy wanted it, get it inside my stomach!"

Crack!

Yumiro wouldn't hesitate to bite the monster core, that exploded inside his mouth. He grabbed his neck as there was a thing block his airways.

"What you've done! Why did you eat my brother's heart." Kurbo clenched his teeth as the human laid on the ground force him to reach his limit.

But on the other side, Celine fully witnessed the scene that happened. Her hands covered her mouth as she was shocked by what the human did.

"Why do you eat the monster heart, it's poison."
