The Adventurer System

Chapter 59 - The Good News

In an early morning where the sun already arise, Yumiro sat in his wheelchair while holding the VR helmet with a glee on his face. He saw his little sister not too far away from him was about to leave their house.

"Brother Yumiro, I know that once I leave you will immediately enter the VR world. And I also know that I can't stop you, so to allow you don't forget to take your medicine, okay?" Amiya said with a honeyed tone.

Yumiro nodded along with his glistened eyes. "Yes, Amiya. I won't forget that!" He replied while watching Amiya carefully opened up the door.

Amiya grinned at him. "I'm glad that you understand, brother Yumiro. But... I have good news for you." Amiya said even almost her body was out.

"What is it?" Yumiro cheerfully replied.

"Suppose to be I will tell you this by tomorrow, but I can't wait anymore; so I'll tell it right now." She revealed her head on the gap in the door. "Prepare yourself, brother Yumiro because we will play tomorrow, and expects the monsters there to be so strong."

Crkk!

"Really?! It's actually a perfect timing because this is my last day inside the dungeon, and as you said I'll pursue myself to become Lvl.20 brawler, so you can boost me." After he spits those words, he heard screeched sounds of tires, it seemed the Amiya school bus has arrived.

Beep!

A large horn perceived by his ears, it was strong enough to couldn't understand what was Amiya said as her mouth keep moving with a grin. Still, he didn't focus on those words since he knew that finally, Amiya was ready to play with him.

"Take care, Amiya!" Yumiro said.

"Of course, brother Yumiro. Enjoy your game!" Amiya cheerfully said while slowly closing the door.

Click!

The door clicked it was the sign the door was locked. He was dumbfounded at the VR helmet. In his mind, his main problem right now how he could clear his screen name, also how he could do that if he still stuck inside the Lynx dungeon.

He took a deep breath with a determination to help his little sister to renovate their house since he had a rare item. The item that he could sell at a high price.

"This is it," He said to himself then placed the VR helmet on his lap, and grabbed one glass of water on the wooden table next to him, and a mini bottle where he got his medicine.

Yumiro swallowed a 2 medicine at once again with a gross face. Seemingly that kind of medicine that had a rough texture inside his mouth was the main reason why he didn't like it even he was taking it for several years.

Before he plays, he strongly pushed the wheel of his wheelchair heading to his room, so he could play comfortably.

...

A few minutes had passed, Yumiro was already sat on his bed and it seemed ready to wear the VR helmet.

"My main plan, for now, is to reach level 20, also find a way to clear my screen name inside the VR world." He murmured then slowly lay down.

"Let's go." He clicked the green button on the VR helmet, so it could transmit his thoughts through the game.

Swoosh!

Yumiro winked once as he gets used to not dazzled at the white that flashes in his eyes. When the time he opened up his eyes, he realised that his character was still in the same position. In the place, where logged out before. Even though he couldn't fully glance at the area he knew it was the same place since he saw the burn mark on the wall, and part of the concrete wall that scattered all over the place.

Grr!

[Player nearby: 0]

As expected, even the journalist and the other adventurers knew the precise location where he disappeared still, no one rushed at this time. It seemed after they saw the false articles about him their interest was lost also afraid to take their valuable item.

Grr!

Aside from that, Yumiro noticed that there was a slight difference in the setting of the place as he heard a monster growled that echoed inside the dark place.

"This a game, If I perfect my decision making there's a chance that I can increase my survival rate." He said as he saw it on the screen that suddenly appeared right before his eyes.

[Grim Draigh survival rate: 81%]

[Survival rate is increased when the adventurer dominates with the monsters, also it's based on how much HP that the adventurer received.]

Yumiro wasn't aware that having a large survival rate, could take the trust of your party members. Nevertheless, it showed how much the survival of instincts of certain players. To be specific, just like this if the adventurer had a high win-rate percentage you could easily earn their trust or also become a party leader, but if you had a low win rate probably will having a hard time finding a member or the worst part; it was to never able to join in the guild or the party raid.

"I need to be careful since I feel that monsters will approach at any moment." He was cautious as the darkness blind him, only the light of his elevated screen the thing he used to wander around.

Although the time difference was the same still, the sunlight couldn't pass through in the place where he stood up right now.

There were 2 pathways, one of them which headed the other way and the other was the ground floor where he fought Garage.

He darted to the left side, thinking that he needed to take the corridor again. In his mind, if he will fight in not spacious place it wasn't hard for him since he was the only one in this place; and no sign of another adventurer existence.

He carefully sauntered to the corridor, he wasn't afraid to face a new monster as he knew what his good capabilities. The thoughts now that struggled his mind was he hadn't enough stuck of the deer meat and the sweet beverages, as much as possible he needed conserved both of those items.

In the corridor, Yumiro heard a weird sound, but the corridor was long straight and he couldn't see anything.

"Just conserve my fatigue, this is the only way to last long in this place." Yumiro clenched his hands into a fist, showing to himself that he was ready if the monsters approach him.

The accumulated minutes before he reached the endpoint was around 10 minutes. Yumiro squinted twice seeing a dark light suddenly occurred too far away from him.

Yumiro draws his fighting stance as he was aware that things weren't different. He didn't bother to ask himself after he saw the shadow of an unknown creature. It was rounded, the only description he could give.

Flop!

Water drops perceived by his ears, but he had an idea of the origin of that sound it came from the creature in front of him.

Swoosh!

A sharps sound occurred, which makes Yumiro rolled to the ground many times, and close their gap to 15 meters distance.

Boom!

A strong collision happened at his back, not too away from him and because of that, the tunnel which passes to the ground floor was totally blocked.

"What's that?!" He asked himself with a bit raised in his voice while seeing the creature was stood up in the same position.

He pointed his index finger in front of him for 3 seconds trying to found out what was the details of this certain creature.

[Failed! The image is too dark!]

A red screen pop-up, sign Yumiro still not gathered the information he needed. The best way, for now, was to come closer.

Swoosh!

Yumiro quickly immediately move his head to the right side as he heard a sharp sound once again. But he knitted his forehead when he saw his HP on the elevated screen was reduced by 15.

He realised that there was a small cut on his face, and blood was rolled on his cheek. It seemed that attack could slice anything.

"It's no use, I need to come closer! " Yumiro bit the bottom of his lips while dashing in the straight path.

The creature wasn't moving at all, which made Yumiro grin. When the distance was 5 meters he leaped then raises his left foot.

[Jumping axe kick!]

Thud!

Thud!

Yumiro bounces back when his attack was strongly landed at the fluffy thing. It seemed the creature pushed him as his back was hit the ceiling, and eventually fell to the ground.

A sticky texture was plastered on his left leg, he checked what was it and saw a blue liquid way more looked like slime. He tried to smell it, but even he didn't smell that liquid for 0.5 seconds he rubbed his hand on the ground to remove the rotten smell that hangs on his hand also on his nose.

After a few seconds, Yumiro dragged his index finger in front of him for 3 seconds, and the system successfully verified the monster.

[Monster Name: Caridian Slime <Monster element> Water]

[Caridian Slime skill <Water blade> This magical attack can be dealt 80 damage in a single target (ST) when its opponent was large the damage is reduced by 2%.]

"Just a slime, huh, let's continue this leveling! No holding back!"
