The Adventurer System

Finally, Yumiro reached the last stage of his expedition inside the Lynx dungeon as he met the knight monster that supposedly the dungeon boss.

It had 7 ft tall, black shimmering armoured, and black reaper in its grasp.

He admitted that he was anticipated to fight this monster since it emitted a black aura all over its body that could scare an adventurer even a monster.

But still, he dashed with perseverance eyes as the little girl behind kept motivated him.

A wide large screen appeared over their head, it was the countdown of their bloody battle. It seemed Yumiro will be penalized if he didn't finish the fight in the given time.

"It doesn't matter, that time is too long for me to end." He straightforward his hands, planning to push the monster's radial before it swings its reaper.

When the distance was around 5 meters, he enhanced his agility so he could increase the possibility to execute his plan.

Thud!

He smirked when he touched the knight's arm, thanks to his agility and strength he barely pushed the monster.

"Half crescent moon kick!"

Then suddenly, he lowered his knees and swung his left foot, it was like making an arc like a half-moon. This attack was preferred for close combat fights since it was a swiftly short kick.

The blade of his foot was promptly hit on the monster's headgear, he knitted his forehead as he felt the solid metal.

Boom!

Although the knight had an enormous body, Yumiro was sufficient to send it far away from him and created a small collision onto the wall.

The Hiller Knight's armored molded in the wall before it fell to the ground, way more looked like his strength was proficient for the monster.

However, Yumiro clicked his tongue after seeing his attack couldn't land high damage. "It just the physical transmission impact? Or that monster's body is tough?" He asked himself while hearing cheerful words behind.

"Yehey! Brother Grim, you're really strong!" Yuki yelled.

He won't look back as he knew his focuses will take away. "Thanks, Yuki. But, avoiding making unnecessary noise, the monster will come after you." He warned her since the monster in front of him reacted with Yuki's voice.

She covered her mouth, and slowly sat to the room edges, where the only thing you could see were her golden glowing eyes. That made for Yumiro to reminisce about something.

"Now, come closer monster." He glared at the monster reaper and understood the main reason why the monster could deal outstanding damage.

The knight was succeeded to regain its footing, aside from that, it was looked ready as its eyes glowed that seemed it wasn't happy with what the adventurer did.

Swish!

Yumiro was stunned when the 12 meters distance was reached by the monster in just 1.25 seconds.

Swoosh!

It directly appeared in front of him, and already and already swayed its reaper.

Clang!

Thud!

Sounds of two metals collided occurred inside the area. Yumiro has successfully deflected the monster's reaper by using his rusty gauntlet. However, he didn't expect the followed-up attack launched by the monster, so he was the one now who sent far away and eventually his back whacked onto the wall.

Yumiro was just involuntarily crossed his arms just to lessen the massive damage he probably took.

"Da... Damn it!" He coughed then there was some blood spilled out of his mouth.

Yumiro understood without armor, the damage he will take was double. Although he has a magic cloak, it wasn't enough as that robe was made for protecting the owner from all the magic damage.

He furrowed his eyebrows when he has seen the monster was ready to attack again, so he shifted his position to slow down the monster's pace.

In just 1 second, Yumiro reached the 15 meters distance gap within the knight. "This monster can't catch up with my agility, I can use this to my advantage."

He perfectly saw the monster that swiftly charging at him without seeing any fear in its eyes.

"No, not this time." The black reaper was widely swung to his left side, so bent his knees while his arms were aiming to catch the monster's blade.

Clasp!

He caught the monster blade, but his face was worried by something. "No, the strength. It has a lot of strength."

When the moment the knight rotated its hip at the same time its feet, Yumiro was hardly sent to the mid-air any flipped many times.

Thud!

Nevertheless, his body was flexible, so he was safely landed on the ground, but he felt hazy with that occurrence.

"That's a close on..." He couldn't complete his words as he saw in his behind that there were keen spikes that barely stabbed his back. 

He checked his body if he any took damage since the adventurer inside the VR world couldn't feel any kind of pain.

He sighed of relief, but erase the expression after seeing a solid punch will direct landed at him if remained positioned.

He dived to the right side, so Yumiro could lure the monster away from Yuki. To avoid a new problem.

His black robe had full of scratches, while some of it was destroyed. Moreover, the monster knight wasn't finished executing its attack.

"I just giving that monster to win this fight, I must the one who will set the momentum of this fight." He swung his right arm planning to block the monster's reaper with his rusty gauntlet.

Clang!

It was a direct hit, then the two of them had shivered bodies while they were pushing each other.

"I'm the one who had the disadvantages in this range, half-crescent moon kick." Since it was applicable in the 1-meter distance, Yumiro launched another quick aiming at the under of the monster's chin, which sent it upwards.

He gritted his teeth, as the monster quickly recovered from his attack, then it immediately used his reaper to counter-attack.

"Sh..." Some blood spilled out under his lower right ribs. Luckily, the monster's reaper didn't puncture well, so the damage was minimized.

"Brother Grim!" Yuki yelled from far, and unexpectedly the monster reacted with her voice and dashed at her.

"Who do you think your opponent? I'm here dumbass!"

Yumiro gathered strength on his legs, so he was able to catch up with the monster. His movement was swift and didn't make any flaws.

Bam!

Yumiro tackled the monster as he knew by just kicking it, it probably wouldn't stop.

Two of them fell to the ground and rolled many times. While on the backline, Yuki was worried since she couldn't see where was Yumiro right as the cloud dust created after the collision.

They struggled to the ground, but Yumiro wouldn't let the knight gone easily.

His right hand gleamed, as he concentrated all his strength on it.

Boom!

Yumiro punched the monster's stomach even though the gap just an inch, way more looked like it was a one-inch punch.

Although they were on the ground, the monster was sent far away from him and deducted 57 health points on its HP.

He was surprised when the monster not quickly stood up, so he tried to launch a followed up attack.

[Physical transmis...]

But the skill's casting was knocked back, as Yumiro stopped moving.

[Insufficient fatigue! Please rest!]

Yumiro flinched with an afraid emotion on his face. "Why... Why I get careless?" He eventually kneeled to the ground while having heavily breathing.

It seemed, Yumiro forgot that he wasn't completely mastered the [Physical transmission] skill.

"Tch, why I forgot the important thing seems it because I focus to kill this monster." He shook his head as he was disappointed in what he did.

"Inve..." And once again, he didn't give him time to complete his words as the knight was charged with an annihilation presence, at the same time, its black aura was increased.

The monster's swung the reaper, but Yumiro deflected it however the weight was hardly pushed him.

"I can't take it anymore, I can't get the deer meat and sweet beverages to quickly regenerate my fatigue, ahh." His defense was broken, and his arms were forcefully lowered his guard.

All the black aura that emitted all over its body was concentrated on its black reaper. Seemingly it was one of the monster's skills.

"Ahhh!" He screamed after there was a black blade came out of the monster's weapon.

"Brother Grim!"

Then suddenly a couple of screen tabs flickered on his eyes.

[Bleeding passive effect activated! Your HP will be reduced to 3 health points every 10 seconds.]

It was a bad situation for him since Yumiro healing effect probably stopped.

"Brother Grim, let's run! We will find another way to leave this place, just please come back here!" Yuki yelled while her tears rolled down on her blanched cheek that reddened before.

"Yuri! Use the teleporting crystal!" He yelled back as the monster dashed again to Yuki.
