The Adventurer System

Chapter 72 - Duel Invitation

Even though the Hiller knight core was shattered to the ground, he still picked up any single one pieces of them as he found out the [Core Devourer] skill hasn't requirements on how much the amount that needed before it activated.

Swoosh!

The little girl and the young man teleported in the vast place, where a hundred adventurers glared at them. It seemed they violate the community standards in the VR world.

"Look who's here! The KS specialist." A bulk man had a piercing on his nose said.

Yumiro knew that he was the adventurer they were talking about since he read the article on social media platforms.

So he decided to proceed with their walk while in his grasp was the small hand of Yuki.

"Don't play this game!"

"I wish the system will punish!"

"Where's the Royal army? He must be imprisoned!"

"Grim Draigh your suck!"

"You don't have a conscience? Back the item you steal from the other adventurers!"

He played didn't hear anything, however, Yuki was wondered why the adventurer surrounded and kept yelling at the man beside him.

"Brother Grim, why they are mad with you?" She asked with a cute tone while gazing around since the place here had a lot more than the place she from.

Yumiro slowly shook her head. "I don't know, but they thought I stole something from them."  He replied.

Moreover, he didn't have care about those harsh words fetching at him. He just wanted, for now, to find a safe place where Yuki could rest as he came to his mind, Yuki will be alone if he logged out.

He stared at him and smiled, he was enjoying seeing the appearance of his biological sister with her.

He kneeled to the ground, so Yuki could hear his voice as the other adventurers won't have a plan to stop from insulting him.

"Yuki, are you hungry?" He asked her, in his mind how this little girl survive inside the perilous place without eating any kind of food.

She shook her head with a reddened face. "No, Brother Grim. I'm fine."

It seemed she was embarrassed to ask some for more. In her mind, saving her from the monster was a big help for her.

Brr!

Yumiro smirked as he understood the way Yuki's acted in front of him. Her facial expression, and pointing her eyes in opposite direction was enough reason for Yumiro.

"Brother Grim is hungry, can you join me?" He said with a grin on his face that he didn't notice even once.

She nodded cheerfully. "Of course, brother Grim. I'll follow you wherever you go."

"Okay, it's settled let's go." His main problem where the right place where they could eat as he wasn't still familiar with the Adventure Capital. "Hm... It seems we can see that in our way"

He placed his hands on the marble surface and pushed himself into a stood-up position.

Thud!

When he whirled around, he bumped into a bulk man that faces facing with him. The bulk man was barely slid back, while Yumiro didn't have any reaction with that.

"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't notice you." Yumiro apologized since he was the one who committed a mistake as he suddenly whirled around.

However, a bulk man in front of him with a giant axe hanged on his back remained in his position. Planning to block his path that way in the Main Adventure Capital.

'He's Surike, this is his screen name' Yumiro lifted his head as the bulk man was way more taller than him.

"Let's go, Yuki." He gently clasped Yuki's hand and went in the other direction, but still, Surike also went in that direction.

He won't speak any words, as he felt dangered in this man. To wouldn't have any commotion in the Adventure Capital he tried to went again to another way but the same thing happened.

He felt annoyed, so he glared at him with furious eyes. "What do you want?"

"Are you Grim Draigh, right?" Surike asked with a husky tone, his voice could irritate your ears.

He nodded without any hesitation while feeling the tightly grabbed of Yuki seemingly she was afraid.

"Brother Grim, do you know this man?" She murmured.

He moved his head closer to Yuki's ears. "I didn't know anyone who looks like a monster."

Both of them were laughed at, but Surike wasn't annoyed about that so he grabbed Yumiro's black robe that properly aimed under his chin.

"The KS specialist, what is something special about you."

He hasn't any reaction on his face, it seemed this man didn't bother him as they were on the same level.

"Brother Grim!" Yuki yelled.

"Don't worry, Yuki. I'm good." He held Surike wrist and use some of his strength to make him screamed.

Surike stepped back as he didn't expect the young man in front of him had a lot of strength. But he was persistent that he schemed for something new.

"If you don't have business with me, can we go?" Yumiro politely asked since the adventurers were surrounded glared at him. Keeping an eye on his every move.

Yumiro and Yuki passed to the bulk man without any hesitation, moreover, there was a bare hand that stopped him once again.

Bam!

"Don't turn around if you having a conversation with me!" Surike whacked him to the ground and spilled some blood out of his mouth, however, his HP wasn't decreased since they were inside the safe zone.

Yuki rushed to him, "What are you doing, monster?! Are you okay, Brother Grim, are you hurt?" She worriedly said while looking at him with teary eyes.

He wiped some blood that was left on his mouth, "Don't worry about me, Yuki. Let's leave this place, the eyes of the other adventurer aren't comfortable with me." He said then stood up without looking at Surike.

But the action was repeated, as Surike grabbed again his shoulder and trying to take him down.

Yumiro whirled around with a red fury, he then slapped the bulk man's bare hands.

Slap!

"What do you want? First of all, I didn't know you." Yumiro said with a bit raised tone.

Surike chuckled while his eyes tell that he wasn't let this took away in his vision. He raised his right hand and pointed his thumb finger to him.

"Fight me in the duel, if you accept I'll let you go and never bother you again." He confidently invited him.

Yumiro wasn't provoked by those words, after seeing Yuki was afraid because of the occurrences.

"I don't have business with you, if you're looking for a fight, find something that suited with your strength.

Surike felt insulted, but he won't change. "Then I will follow you wherever you want, or you want that child to get hurt."

Yumiro wasn't happy with those words, but he didn't show any reactions. "Why I should fight you?" He asked.

"To have a peaceful life inside the VR world." Surike replied.

"Boring... There's no thrill with this fight. Why we place some bet?"

Surike smiled thinking that this man was baited in his trap. "Hahaha! I like you, but you have something special inside your inventory?"

"Inventory." Yumiro mumbled and took a small knife that had a red blade, way more looked it was an elemental weapon. "This is the Kariki blade, how about you? What can you bet?"

Everyone was around seeing a rare item, in the hands of a new adventurer.

"What the Kariki knife? How he get that?!"

"Grim Draigh get back the item that you have stolen!"

Still, no one believed in his ability. He just accepted all the words that came from the adventurers.

Surike felt a bit tense as he didn't have any kind of weapon that could have the same value. "M... My axe, it's Lvl.2! The material use to this is hard to find!" He chuckled while the other members of his party were stood up next to him.

Then suddenly a man wore an old robe, and a detective hat came out from the bunches of adventurer. He intervened with their conversation as he saw there something wrong with the bet.

"If I were you, I won't accept the bet. Your Kariki knife is way more valuable than his overall items." Her face wouldn't reveal but his screen name showed and it was Brian the man who looked mysterious.

Yumiro dumbfounded at him, "Who are you?"

"It didn't need to know me personally, but you can call me what everyone does. And it's the trader."

"Okay?" He hadn't intended to have a conversation with him. "Did you heard what he said, right? Bet all your items and I'll accept the duel."

"This man is useless, he didn't know brawler class never win against the fighter," Brian mumbled.

The place was surrounded by the heated voice of the other adventurer, looking forward to the fight of the KS specialist.

"Deal, but don't cry if you lose." Surike said as he knew he was the one who had the advantage of this duel.

[Do you want to accept the duel with Surike? Yes/No]
