Chapter 99 - Beat The Dungeon Record

The battle on the eighth floor was ended so fast, enough reason for Asarki to suggest a good idea that will benefit both of them.

"Grim, I have a suggestion if you don't mind." Asarki said while looking for Grim Draigh's response.

Yumiro frowned his brows with a look that he seemed so curious. "What is it?"

Asarki cheerfully clapped her once as she was glad this man would like to her words. "Since you can clear each floor in under 5 minutes, why we will not beat this dungeon record?"

Yumiro was dumbfounded as he even knew how they could the dungeon record. "Beat the dungeon record? Why don't you try to become more specific?"

"I'm trying to say, in every dungeon, there's always a dungeon record. Wait me let me show you something." Asarki function screen then shown the dungeon castle record.

[The dungeon record 1 day 4 hours and 36 seconds.]

[Party raider(s)- Broncos

Shin

Trymire

Celest

Armin           ]

"Those screen names are the adventurers who successfully raid this dungeon, and that time, the time they are spent here to complete this dungeon." Asarki briefly explained as she used to in this kind of scenario.

Yumiro hummed in an unknown tone, but it seemed he understand what Asarki trying to explain.

"Beat the record huh..." Yumiro said with a low voice, then asked her. "What are the benefits if we beat the record."

Asarki slowly rubbed her chin. "To be honest, I don't have a specific answer for that. But, there is one I'm sure, will have a good effect on the upcoming guild selection. It never comes to your mind if the both of us clear this dungeon, everyone will talk about this and I can clear your name with other adventurers. Grim Draigh, an adventurer who had an own strength raid a certain dungeon alone." She raised her hands while spreading it out, just making a gesture.

Yumiro was carried away by her words. In his mind, tomorrow the day when he will meet Asamiya in the world, so if clear his name before that time comes. His little sister will probably proud of him. However, a new problem popped inside his mind.

"Tch! This woman is worthy of my trust?" He clicked his tongue while asking himself.

Asarki was pondered at him, waited for his answer. "What do you think? This is a great plan." She asked him one more time.

To clarify all the things at once, he took a deep breath to clear his mind before he gave his answer.

"Hmm... Once and for all, are you going to betray me?" Yumiro said it without stuttering while his facial expression got serious.

Asarki looked at Yumiro eyes and give the same facial expression. "I'm not kind of woman, every party members of mine I treat them like a family member. And the reason why I didn't help Bruce earlier because I'm against with his decision. It's not right to PK somebody if he/she commits any serious crime. Or to be exact, you didn't have any right to kill another adventurer if it just ahead of you by one floor." She explained her back story to him without making any seconds or stammering where you could see if a one-person lied.

Yumiro secretly smiles as he already heard what kind of words he wanted to hear. "Okay, that's enough." He stopped her as he saw her, she would like to spit more words.

Asarki closed her mouth with her hand as she understood him.

"Asarki, let's beat this dungeon record."

Her eyelids widened as this was the first time Grim Draigh called her screen name. "Yes!" She merrily said then took the front line again.

"Where is that kind of energy comes from?"

...

Two adventurers wandered on the eighth floor, choosing the safest path. Asaki take the responsibility for it since her eyes could see where they could eliminate the problem.

[Zexel on!]

Asarki pushed eyeglasses to her nostril as she felt it loosen a little bit. She scanned the two paths where was the right side was the safest path.

"The right corridor is the best path, let's g..." She couldn't complete her words as Yumiro tugged her brown body armor. So she whirled around and took a glance at him. "What is it? There's a problem?"

"I would like to ask, how did you know that the left side was full of traps?" Yumiro asked.

Asarki squinted twice as this scene was unusual for him, and took few seconds before she realised the young man was staring at him.

"Oh, I'm sorry. How I detect it? Hmm... How can I explain it to you that you can easily understand?" Asarki looked far away and recalling what she did to see it. "Yeah, do you remember when you're surrounded by a black aura?" She asked.

He nodded with pondered eyes. "Yes, but it's related to that?"

"Somehow, let me explain. When the time I activated my Zexel, I can see a magical power. The traps had a color of red magical aura my guts telling me that I need to avoid it. Like for example, in this place, the magical aura is getting denser as you killed the strong monster here."

In the VR world, there was magical power called MANA when all the living here or any natural structures had. Moreover, the adventurers could transmit their mana through the object, so they could manipulate it.

Yumiro nodded as he understood what she meant.

...

Two of them proceed to their next adventurers, which one of them gave Yumiro a big reason to clear this dungeon.

"Asamiya, Yuki, just wait brother Yumiro needs to finish some job."

On the ninth floor, the expected monster there was the first evolution of Salamander. However, Yumiro wasn't bothered by it since he could use the salamander's core to immune his body from the tremendous fire.

7 minutes had passed, Asarki and Yumiro stood up in front of the red metal gate.

"Why it's so hot here?" The gate released a tremendous heat where Asarki sweat rolled down on her cheek. "Grim, I'm sure the monster here can use fire element. Do you have any plan how you can defeat it?"

Yumiro smirked at her. "Don't worry, I have a lot of monster's core here."

"Eh, monster's core? It can never defeat a monster by using the core."
