Violet had the worst night ever. Lots of nightmares, and not having Jack by her side didn’t help.

Apparently, he got drunk during the party and slept on the couch.

And Violet couldn’t stop thinking about what Gwen had said to her on the previous day.

So at noon, Jack came to see her and suggested that they went to spend the weekend on the beach as he had said.

Violet immediately agreed. A few days far away from that mess could be good for her.

Especially with him.

For the first time since they met, they would be able to spend some time alone..

That kind of left Violet nervous.

Of course they had already gone through the sex stage, but she would still be shy in front of him in some occasions. Especially when he flirted with her, which she had to admit, he was really good at.

“I’m gonna ask Lucinda to buy a bikini for you and help you with your bag. It’s just a few days, so you don’t need to bring too much.” Jack said when he came by to invite her for their little trip.

Lucinda showed up during the afternoon, with a bag of clothes. She showed Violet a few comfy dresses, a few bikinis for her to choose and a red lingerie.

But once Violet saw the piece of clothing that Lucinda bought for her, she almost fell dead on the floor.

“Am I supposed to wear this? I mean… This will cover barely nothing!” she said in shock.

“Exactly. That’s the whole point.” Lucinda said with a smirk.

“Oh, my God! You’re so depraved.” Violet slapped her arm. “I'm not used to people talking about my relationship with Jack. Especially not you.”

“What's wrong with me? I’m your friend, right?” Lucinda asked pretending to be offended.

Violet smiled, but she could feel her cheeks burning of embarrassment.

“Of course you are. But it’s weird.”

“Come on, Violet. Friends talk about this kind of stuff. You don’t need to be so puritan.” Lucinda explained tossing the lingerie inside of Violet's bag. “In fact, I can even give you some tips to… you know, seduce our boss.”

Violet tossed a pillow on her face, making her laugh even more.

“I’m not gonna seduce anyone. Stop saying these things.”

“Yes, you are. You’re going to put this on and surprise him. I know you two are on the love bubble phase of the relationship, but everyone likes to be a little wild sometimes. Men can also feel bored, so it’s nice to heat things up a bit.”

Violet got curious, and blushing like she was under the sun for hours, she took the courage to ask.

“What do you mean?” her voice almost failed.

Lucinda smiled at her, happy that she was finally interested.

She left the bag aside and sat by her side on the bed.

“So, listen to me. You need to show that you are under control. Show him that you can also be sexy and in charge if you want too. Men like that. And you’ll see how this can make you feel powerful too.”

“But what should I do?” Violet asked confused.

She had no idea about how to seduce a man, even though she already had one.

“You'll feel when the moment is right. You can wear this under your dress and make a move on him when he’s least expecting it. Of course with just the two of you inside a house for two days, every moment can be THE moment, but anyway. Don’t dwell too much on that. Just do what your body feels like doing, okay? Don’t think too much!” Lucinda concluded.

“What a great help.” Violet said rolling her eyes.

“You'll know what to do. Just feel free and don’t be intimidated. You’re the boss!” Lucinda showed her perfect smile to Violet as a sign of encouragement.

She and Jack left when the sun was setting, and he said the trip wasn’t going to take too long.

On the way, Violet got amazed several times.

She had never seen so many beautiful landscapes, like they got out of a book or something.

As they drove through roads and more roads, Violet could feel the breeze in the air changing as they got closer to their destination.

It was much more lighter, fresher and more peaceful than ever.

And when she finally saw the ocean, she lost her breath.

It was mesmerizing.

She couldn’t believe such thing existed.

“I can show you much more of the world if you let me.” Jack said hugging her from behind.

It was amazing to finally get out of the trouble and enjoy a free and relaxed time with him.

They left their bags on a very comfortable house that Jack rented and left for a walk to get to know the place.

“I used to come here with my family before my father died.” Jack said, grabbing her hand as they walked on the sand watching the sea. “It's one of my favorite places in the entire continent.”

“Have you been to a lot of places in the Crescent?” Violet wanted to know.

“Well, yeah. I mean, the Rebels were always moving to recruit new members, so it was inevitable that we went from side to side. This way, we always discovered new places and new cultures. It is quite amazing how many different things you can find.” he answered with excitement.

Violet could feel how he was fully happy when he talked about his accomplishments.

She could see how it was nice to be free, to live your life without having to worry about stupid rules.

“I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do with my life from now on.” she said after a few minutes in silent just enjoying each other’s presence. “I never had a goal in my life and now, more than ever, I don’t know which possibilities I have.”

Jack looked at her.

“You can be anything you want. I know you don’t know a lot of things from the world since you were in the dark for too long. But with time, you will learn a lot, and then make a choice. You don’t have to feel forced to do everything at once. Just take your time.”

She nodded, feeling happy and comforted.

It was nice to have someone to tell her that everything would be okay. Because inside her heart, it was hard to imagine a time where everything would go back into place, and she would feel happy again.
