The Alpha's Prisoner

Chapter 98 - 98: Wedding Preparations

Violet decided to go back to the mansion, since Lance had too much to do in the Diamond Pack, and she wouldn’t be any helpful to him.

She also didn’t wait for Lucinda, since she had no idea how long their conversation would last.

But deep down, she was dying to know every detail from it.

Right after leaving the palace, she noticed how the members of the Diamond Pack seemed much happier and satisfied by the outcome of their fight.

A lot of them reached out to her and Jack on the way out, to thank them for doing what they did.

She didn’t know how to react to that, since she didn’t feel like she deserved all that credit. It was true that she had helped all that take place in the first place, but for her it felt kind of an obligation to do the right thing.

Violet also saw the walls being destroyed by the guards of the Diamond Pack and a lot of volunteers.

She finally felt at peace, knowing that she’d probably never see those bricks being put their again.

Lance was the best decision for the pack for sure, and she was more than sure that he would do an amazing job as the Alpha.

“It's weird to think about the future now.” she mentioned to Jack as they reached the doors of the mansion. “I mean, now I feel like I don’t have any purpose in life.”

Jack smiled at her.

“Of course you do. You have a whole wedding to organize. And I want a big one.”

She frowned.

“What? Why a big one? I was thinking about something more intimate, like…”

“Nothing small. I want everyone to know I’m marrying the most incredible woman in the world. You can choose everything else, I promise I won’t interfere.”

“Jack… I don’t have any familiarity with weddings. I don’t even know where to begin.”

“It's okay. You can ask Morgana to help you. She loves weddings.” he said, climbing the stairs that led to their rooms.

Violet stopped walking right away.

“Morgana loves weddings?” she asked in shock.

That was an image of the woman that she would never have. Morgana didn’t look like the type of person who would pay much attention to cheesy and romantic events.

Jack also stopped to look back at her.

“Are you kidding? She is mad about it. I can actually see her begging to help you.” he smiled.

And Violet couldn’t hold on her laughter.

It was funny but also nice that Morgana would be that type of person. It was exactly what she needed at the moment.

“So…” she continued going upstairs. “When are you planning on holding the ceremony?”

It was weird to actually talk about their wedding. Until that moment, it was only a hypothetical occasion, one she wasn’t sure she’d be able to attend because of all those recent events.

“Whenever you feel like it. I mean, I’d marry you today if I could.” Jack said reaching the door of her room and pulling her for a hug.

As he wrapped his hands around her waist, he opened the door and got inside with Violet still in his arms.

She smiled and raised her brows.

“Why the rush? I’m not going anywhere, remember? You said I’m stuck with you forever.” she joked. “Even if that means becoming your prisoner again.”

Jack made a serious face.

“I was just joking. I’d never make you my prisoner again.”

Violet slapped his shoulder slightly and gently.

“I know! I’m just teasing you. I would never leave you voluntarily, okay? I love you, and I can’t wait to be your wife.” she uttered.

Jack pulled her head and kissed her lips passionately.

“Good. Because I also can’t wait to start the rest of my life with you.” he replied. “Now, what about we start by moving you to my room? I can’t believe we are still sleeping in separated rooms. That’s ridiculous.” Jack complained rolling his eyes.

“Fine.” Violet surrendered. “Now I’m going to look for Morgana. I’m feeling that we’ll have a lot to talk about.”

Jack made a grimace that made Violet laugh.

“Good luck. I’ll be in my office if you need me. And I’ll ask someone to take your things to my room. You can say goodbye to this one right now.”

Violet gave him a kiss and left the place, going to find Morgana.

She was still mesmerized by the idea of asking Morgana to help her organize her wedding with Jack, but a thought occurred to her as she walked towards the woman's office.

A few months before, Violet could never think that Morgana would become someone that she could trust and even share important moments of her life with.

Now, she was one of her closest friends and her mentor. Violet wouldn’t be half the sorceress she was if it wasn’t for Morgana.

She was extremely grateful for the presence of Morgana in her life, and she would have to tell her that eventually. So why not now?

After Violet knocked on the door three times, Morgana finally opened it.

“I was about to call someone. Thought you were dead or something.” she joked, passing by Morgana before she told her to come in.

“I was busy studying some old techniques of psychological torture. Want me to practice on you?” Morgana said with an angry face, but Violet could tell she was just pretending to be mad for the interruption. “Can I help you with something?”

Violet opened the widest smile possible to make the invitation.

“I was wondering if you’d like to help me organize my wedding and…”

“Oh, God! Really? I’d love to! I love weddings.” Morgana interrupted her, and Violet didn’t even recognize the person in front of her anymore.

It was like she had become a fifteen year old girl dreaming about the wedding of her dreams.

Violet even felt bad for not being just as enthusiastic as her.

“Okay, okay. I still have one more question.”

“Yes?” Morgana waited with expectant eyes.

“I wanted to know if you’d like to be one of my bridesmaids. I don’t have a lot of friends, just Lucinda and you basically, so…”

But Violet was interrupted again, but this time not with words, but with a surprising hug from Morgana.
