The Cage Of The Past

Xiaoxi Chen opened her eyes with slightly sluggish, and her cheeks full of tears. She looked at Rouzhen Gu, who was in front of her and her thoughts were still in the nightmare.

"Do you have a nightmare?" Rouzhen Gu's voice sounds worried and gentle.

In an instant, the sadness of the heart was coming up like a wave, and Xiaoxi Chen tears could no longer be suppressed. The first time she wails in front of Rouzhen Gu.

"It's okay, Xiaoxi" Rouzhen Gu gently pacified, his slender hand gently patted Xiaoxi Chen's trembling back. He didn't know what nightmare she had, but he knows the reason that she had this nightmare and why she was out of control!.

Tears flowed out and again she passed out in Rouzhen Gu's arm. Just before she passed out Xiaoxi grabbed his hands tightly like no matter what she encountered she was not willing to let it go.

Looking at her face still with tears left but her right hand still clenching him. Rouzhen Gu once again sighed.

Uneasy, the darkness nightmare seems to be sweeping over again. Xiaoxi Chen frowns, gradually feels uneasy and worried. She was held by a big hand tightly, very warm.

"Xiaoxi Chen you can do it, stay strong right away!" Rouzhen Gu said softly and slowly in her ear.

Rouzhen Gu! The dull and cold voice waking her up was him and Xiaoxi open her eyes and then sat at the bed.

"No!" Xiaoxi Chen threw the quilt and wanted to get out of the bed.

"Where are you going?" Rouzhen Gu saw that she let go of his hand, inexplicably and he felt his hand empty. "I will send you out!"

There was a glimmer of color in Xiaoxi Chen hollow eyes. She looked at the bed with doubt and looked at Rouzhen Gu, who was gentle as water. What did he just say?

Didn't ask what happened but the tone is very gentle.

His spidery fingers warmed-over Xiaoxi Chen's face when he suddenly touched her and his gaze were deep complexes but there was no strong and overbearing tone. "Where you want to go, I will send you there!"

Xiaoxi Chen was awakened, looking around, white room, black and white furniture, white sheets, where's this place?

"This is my ċȯndȯminium!" Rouzhen Gu seemed to see her doubts.

"How did I get here?" She was surprised. Isn't she's at the company? Didn't she meet Mr. Jones? What is his name?

"You fainted!" He stated the truth, but there was a trembling in his voice. "I can only bring you here!"

"What time is it?" she asked.

"It is time to get off work!" Rouzhen Gu said.

"We didn't participate in the meeting?"

"What do you think?"

"I'm sorry!" Xiaoxi Chen stood up and looked at the white sheets. She thought that the CEO might have mysophobia. She suddenly stunned, thought for something and her eyes turned dull. "I delayed the meeting!"

"The meeting has been moved tomorrow, forget about it!" Rouzhen Gu said.

"Sir, sorry!" Silently get out of the bed, Xiaoxi Chen slightly pushed the door open and walked outside. Mr. Jones is the only one who knows the whereabouts of the fox mask man. The only person who can help her find her son. She wants to find that person, but she must find Mr. Jones first, but she doesn't know what his name is! All of these thoughts lingered in her mind at that moment.

Everything in the past is like a wind, and Mr. Jones has given her a touch of hope. Even it is a very small chance, she will still look for it! " Sir, does our company have a manager named Mr. Jones?" she suddenly asked Rouzhen.

Rouzhen Gu thought that she just meet him once yet she felt so sad, he did not want her to continue to feel that way. "No!"

"Is that true?" Xiaoxi Chen's face was a little disappointed. No, it was in despair. She seemed to hear the female staff called the man as Manager Jones. Did she get it wrong?

The news that the CEO and Secretary Chen were absent from the meeting, in a short period of time spread through every corner of the company, no doubt it became the hottest issues inside GU Corp. In a broad daylight, the CEO actually left with Secretary Chen according to the gossip, someone from their company saw them left through the exclusive elevator. The gossip started from the monitoring room and staff from the general station who said the CEO and Secretary Chen were together.

"Is Secretary Chen pregnant?" someone talked inside the marketing department.

"According to the gossip, our boss carried Secretary Chen in his arms that seemed to pass out." another one said.

"Since Secretary Chen fainted our boss took her away, maybe he brought her to the hospital. She's really pregnant." At that moment gossip about Xiaoxi Chen being pregnant continues spreading and they said it was Rouzhen Gu's child.

Xiaoxi Chen refused Rouzhen Gu to send her, she sorted out her emotion and went to pick up her son.

"Mommy, have you cried again?" Chao saw Xiaoxi's red eyes and he wanted to confirm if she had cried.

"No, Mommy didn't cry!" Xiaoxi Chen face glowed uneasily. She vaguely remembered when she leaves, Rouzhen Gu told her that she will go to training abroad for three days. She just listened to it, but now she's been worried thinking about it. What about Chao?

Who will take care of Chao if she will be away from home for training?

"Then why Mommy looks like being worried and your eyes got swollen. Does someone bullied you at work?"

"Chao, Mommy's boss said that I will be going on a business trip for three days but I am so worried about you, no one will take care of you!"

"It doesn't matter, Chao can live in the kindergarten for three days. I can ask my teacher to take care of me while you're away from home. Many children's mom and dad left their kids at the school during workdays. They only come to pick them up during the weekend, Mommy I can do it too!" Chao said it firmly.

"Okay, since Mommy hasn't carried me on your back for a long time I will accept it now!" The little boy climb to Xiaoxi Chen's back.

"Mommy hasn't left but Chao already miss you!"

"Do not worry I will be back immediately then bring you some gift."

On the plane, first-class flight.

Xiaoxi Chen expression is very indifferent, as if nothing happened yesterday, which makes Rouzhen Gu feel a little surprised. Now she is sleeping quietly, still wearing her conservative suit, she looks dull but her innocent aura makes him feel eager to have her in his arms.

Rouzhen turned his face, his eyes fell on Zion Ni's face, who had been waiting for his answer while staring at him. Actually, he let him feel guilty for not giving a proper explanation as to why the two of them didn't appear in the meeting.

"Rou, Rou! Why do you look at me this way? It makes me feel that you are in love with me!" He is cracking a joke, Zion Ni squint his eyes towards him.

"You're too noisy! Do I owe you some explanation? Who is the boss here?!" Rouzhen said coldly and stared at him. He really was a trouble-maker. "Lower down your voice, she fell asleep. Just keep your mouth zip!"

"Rouzhen you change a lot recently and I think you become gentle!" Zion Ni lowers his tone and secretly looked at Xiaoxi who was sitting next to them. "She's so beautiful, sleeping like an angel, isn't she?"

"I said shut up!" Rouzhen warned him.

"Rou, Rou, you know what, a lot of people in our office talking about the two of you. I can't zip my mouth easily because gossip spreading faster. Some of your employees think Xiaoxi is pregnant with your child." Zion Ni grinning cheekily and raised his thin lips. A trace of strangeness spilled out from his fascinated peach eyes.

Rouzhen Gu ignored him and his face was cold, the frosty eyes glance at Zion Ni "You are very ŀėwd! How can she get pregnant when I didn't touch her?"

"Oh, I see but people at work saw you two yesterday that you're carrying her in your arms while she seems to have fainted. Where did you bring her?" Zion asked.

Xiaoxi Chen was awakened by their voice. When she saw two men watching her she was slightly shy and immediately sat properly and head down.

"Xiaoxi Chen! Did we woke you up?" Zion Ni laughing and he was not guilty. "Don't sleep again, here it's too uncomfortable, if you are really sleepy, come to me and sleep into my arms!" he showed a naughty smile while throwing glances at Rouzhen.

Xiaoxi Chen suddenly felt her face was blushing. She didn't even dare to look up, hemmed and hawed. "Manager Ni, your joke is not funny at all. Do not worry I will not sleep again, I will wait until we reach our hotel accommodation."

"Haha, you are so cute." Zion Ni saw her look so serious, laughing loudly.

Rouzhen Gu stays calm but he stares at him. "Shut up, the plane are full of your laughter, don't you feel ashamed?"

Zion Ni shrugged his shoulders and said: "Boss you are too sėnsɨtɨvė!"

She's not comfortable with the dress she wore mostly when she came out because Rouzhen Gu staring at her intently making her feel shy. His emotion turned upside-down and he wants to grab her immediately into his arm and give her a kiss yet he can't do it while they are in public.

The long hair is tied up highly, revealing her fair-skinned slender neck and the pair of gemstone earring on her ears are making her look dazzling.

"This pair of shoes is too high. I have to wear flat shoes because I don't know how to walk with this one!"

She has been complaining and just a few steps she's fell into Rouzhen Gu's arm.
