The Cage Of The Past

"You're a devil!" she screamed.

"Yes, I am! But this demon will be your husband!" he winked at her and kissed her lips hungrily. "Let's rest and stop arguing, regain your strength because tomorrow I will give you a surprise! Goodnight honey!"

"Devil!" she screamed again.

He just laughed loudly. He thought of calling Weicheng tomorrow and will not let her return to her job. He plans to force her to move in this villa together with Chao and Han. He knew she will not agree on it but he can't let her run away again.

Early in the morning, Rouzhen asked the driver to take his son, Han, to his Villa. He wanted to surprise Xiaoxi by letting his son know the truth. A smile drew in his handsome face while looking at Xiaoxi sleeping in his bed. He glanced at the wall clock inside his room, past 9 in the morning. He knew that she's so tired the whole night after their intimate contact.

Meanwhile, Han was on the way to Villa number 15.

"Hey, why are we changing the route? This is not the way to my school? We can't skip my class today. Grandpa will be angry!" Han said in a worried tone.

"Little young master, your father gave me an instruction to bring you in his other house!" the driver replied.

"Uh! But what if Grandpa discovered I skip school?"

"Let young master Rouzhen deal with it!" Butler Chen said.

The car arrived at the Villa and quickly, Han runs inside. Rouzhen's heard the car sound and he quickly went downstairs. He saw his son running towards him.

Rouzhen's mood seems to be at peace and he smiled at his son then embraced him.

"Baby, I miss you! Hey, do you want to see your Mom?" he asked.

"Mommy?!" Han suddenly cried and he exclaimed louder hearing what Rouzhen had told him. He had long wanted to see his mother but wasn't able to know who she was. "Are you not kidding? Last time when I asked you, it made you angry!" he said in a low voice.

"Mommy is sleeping in the room on the second floor!" Rouzhen whispered. "Lower down your voice, we will give her a surprise, okay?"

"You mean it? Does my Mom return to us?" Han couldn't believe it.

"Yes! She returned!"

"But..but is she my real Mom?" Han asked again in a suspicious tone.

"Yes! Your real Mommy who gives birth to you!"

"But why doesn't she come to us before?" saying his word, Han lower down his head. "Dad, you know, I missed her so much. Often, I felt envious of other children at school who have their Mom. Last time when we visit Chao's house I saw how Auntie Xiaoxi took care of him. Does my Mommy loves me?"

"Baby, I will explain everything to you later on. I bring back your Mom as I've promised to you last time!" Rouzhen picked him up and hugged him in his arms and lightly kissed his son's face. "Mommy loves you. She just can't find you, it's Dad's fault!" he explained.

"Okay!" Han's nodded.

"Your Mom is Auntie Xiaoxi!" he suddenly said.

"Auntie is my real Mommy?" Han couldn't believe it and looked at his father in a surprise reaction. Suddenly his face raised with a bright smile."Dad? Are you sure?"

"Of course it is true!" Rouzhen looked at his son with a happy smile on his handsome face.

"Am I Chao's brother? Does Chao knew about it?" Han did not seem to understand the entire situation but Rouzhen simply nodded. "Yes! He is also a child of mine. Just like you!"

"Wow! Great!" Han said. "I have a mommy and a brother!"

"Are you happy?" Rouzhen asks his son.

"Yes!"

Rouzhen put him down and started to talk to his son. Xiaoxi upstairs suddenly woken up, the child's laughter and a cheerful voice came into her ears. Her heart suddenly beats faster and she sat up, only to find out that she didn't wear clothes. She felt the pain in her lower body. It made her feel the unbearable ache in her entire body. Even if she is already a mother, she still experiences so much pain when she is with him.

She thought that she needs to bear the pain for the sake of her son even though she felt humiliated and without dignity in front of him. She is willing to bear it and sacrifice herself only to be with her precious child.

Quickly got up and the quilt slipped in an instant. She hurriedly picked up her dress down the bed and put it on. The voice of the child makes her feel excited. She wears the slipper immediately and her whole sense finally woke up completely. She ran to the bathroom to quickly organize herself.

She has never been so nervous before but hearing her child's voice, Xiaoxi's heart beat faster. She wanted to see her son. Although she had seen him many times, she never knew that he was her child.

Thinking of this, her hatred over Rouzhen has even become stronger. The feeling that being deceived suffocate her. How can he lie to her? He knows that she wants to see her son, but he still hides the truth.

She combs her hair in front of the mirror and she felt disgusted seeing all the red marks on her neck that was made by him. Xiaoxi's face blushed instantly, she felt shy thinking that her child would see it. She is not a perfect woman but she does not want to be tagged as a bad mom, not wanting her son to look down on her. She hastily went to the closet to find other clothes, she just saw a few scarves. She took a piece of it to cover the hickeys.

Xiaoxi's heart was still beating wildly. She forgot to go to work as she woke up late and when she heard the child's voice downstairs, she knew it was Han.

Taking a deep breath, she opened the door and went out. Far away, she heard the conversation between Han and Rouzhen, she hides for a while and her eyes began to fill with fog.

"Daddy why Mommy didn't wake up? Are we going to call her?" Han screamed.

"Hush! Lower your voice, Mommy was tired and she needs to rest. She works last night! Be patience, okay?" Rouzhen's voice was filled with tenderness.

Upon hearing the conversation, her face blushing. Xiaoxi did not expect that Rouzhen is so considerate. Deep down in her heart, she slowly appreciates his kindness. Thinking about it, she paused for a while but she still hesitates to accept all his effort. She thought that Rouzhen wants to pretend to be a good person, she can't forgive him easily.

"But I am hungry! I haven't eaten breakfast. When you called Uncle Chen earlier to bring me here, he quickly does it while grandpa is still sleeping!" Han's voice was somewhat worried and felt wronged. "But if I can see Mommy, I am so happy, it doesn't matter if I don't have breakfast yet!"

"Well let's go to the kitchen to see if there is anything to eat!" Rouzhen wanted to bring his son to the kitchen to prepare food for him while thinking Xiaoxi still sleeping in his room.

"No Dad! Put me down, I will see Mommy first!"

"Okay, you win! Careful, don't run!" he said.

Xiaoxi heard their conversation and before her son went upstairs she came out. She walked faster and meet her son halfway.

"Han, son!" She shouted out her son's name and the tears flowed out in a hurry. She finally met her child. She can't explain her feelings right at that moment. The child she's been longing for a very long time is now in front of her.

Han stood in the staircase and Rouzhen looked up. He saw Xiaoxi quickly running descend downstairs. She almost ran down. He walked faster towards them and his tears slipped down from his eyes. He can't hold his emotions, seeing his family unite at a very moment.

As she approached her child, she immediately hugged his tiny body. "Han...my Han! Baby, I miss you so much!" tears fell from her eyes.

Han was very excited but suddenly felt shy to look at her. He allowed Xiaoxi to hold him, looked at her face then looked at his Dad. His expression was a bit awkward.

"Han call her Mommy!" Rouzhen told Han. His heart feels pain looking down the two important persons in his life. Finally, the moment he waited had come, even though it was an unexpected situation.

"Han, I am your Mommy, so sorry, sorry, Mommy shouldn't have lost you!" Xiaoxi told him while she's crying.

"Mommy!" Han screamed and extended his small hand to help Xiaoxi wipe away her tears. "Mommy don't cry… don't cry, please! Han will be sad!"

"Son, I'm sorry. Mommy was very happy!" Xiaoxi's hands held Han's small face and her tears could not help but flow down continuously.

"Mommy! Mommy!" Han sweetly mentioned it.

"Hey, Baby, Mommy finally found you!" Xiaoxi said and hugged her son tightly.

She never thought that this moment will happen. At this time, her heart was filled with happiness holding her son in her arms.

"Mommy will not leave Han in the future?" he asked.

Xiaoxi nodded fiercely. "I won't. Mommy will never leave you anymore. Mommy will take care of you from now on!"

Suddenly she looks at Rouzhen who stood in front of them. She clearly remembers his condition, she needs to be his woman so she could stay with her son. Thinking about it she feels bad to be his bed slave without dignity. Does she have to bear it only to stay beside her son?

She saw Rouzhen's tears and he quickly wiped it. She is staring at him deeply, somehow she can't dare to leave him because right now, she's holding their son who became a strong bond between them.

"Honey, I know I am wrong. I promise this is the last time you shed tears and you won't experience any pain again as long as you stay with us!" He said in a gentle voice promising her something that he knew would be a big challenge for him to fulfill.

She sneered at him but didn't say any words. Her tears made his heart moved. He decided to go against his father's will for the sake of his family. He can't tell her right now because he doesn't want to ruin her happy moment.

Perhaps his tone scared his son. Han immediately tightened his hug on Xiaoxi's neck. "Mommy, I am hungry, I am so hungry!"

"Okay! Mommy will cook for you! What do you want to eat?" She picked up her son and went straight to the kitchen.

"Anything as long as you cook it!" Han cheerfully answered.

Xiaoxi simply nodded and put down her son on the chair.

Rouzhen looked at the busty petite figure busy preparing food for their son. He glances at the little man who has been standing near her. Seeing them together in his house makes him happy.

He takes out his phone when he heard it rang. He saw his father's name reflected on the screen, he answered: "You missed your son, isn't it?" Rouzhen hung up his phone.

He leaned against the doorway in the kitchen, his eyes were deep and he looked back again at Xiaoxi. He felt pressured and he wanted to release his stress. He quickly burned a cigarette and the smoke spits out. He knows that his father had discovered he took his son away.

His phone rang again, he answered it again but he went mute, he was shocked by hearing his father's angry voice.

"Where did you bring Han?"

"Dad! Han will live with me starting today!" Rouzhen said after a moment of being silent.

Xiaoxi just finished cooking and about to put a fried egg on the table when she heard Rouzhen's talking to someone on the phone. She didn't hear everything but she clearly heard her son's name, which made her stopped for a while.

"If you dare to let Han and that woman stay with you under one roof then hand over the company. Never recognize me anymore. She's only a surrogate mother who carried your son. I reminded you several times not to fall in love with her!" Lui Gu said in an angry tone.

"Dad! Your grandchild needs his mother. He needs maternal love! Don't be so unfair!" Rouzhen tried to explain.

"Then you should not go to GU Corp anymore if you choose that woman. From today, you are no longer the CEO of our company!" Lui Gu hung up.

Xiaoxi thought that Rouzhen was in trouble. Although she did not hear the conversation between Rouzhen and the caller, judging his expression and hearing him mentioning Han's name she could guess that he is facing a big problem.

She thought that Rouzhen is not bad at all.

A man who considers that a child needs a mother's love is somewhat amazing. Suddenly, she felt agitated in her heart and there seemed to be something that was shaken deep down.

When Rouzhen turned around and saw her standing at the table looking at him seriously he thought she might have heard something. Han walked over him timidly and then whispered: "Dad, is it, grandpa? Grandpa felt angry with us?"

An image of his grandfather who often looks angry appeared in his mind.

Rouzhen shook his head immediately. Avoiding Xiaoxi's eyes, he said: "No, grandpa is not angry. He just asked where did I bring you!" He lied.

Xiaoxi was slightly unconvinced and she knew he was lying. However, Rouzhen just glanced at her and forced himself to smile.

"Really? Can I play with Mommy today?" Han asked again.

"Of course!" Rouzhen nodded. Come let's eat!"

"Thank you, Daddy! Let's eat now!" Han has never been so happy like this. Hearing his grandpa wasn't angry at them he cheerfully walk back to the table.

Rouzhen simply looks at her and dragged the chair for his son. Xiaoxi didn't say anything.

"Han, eat this one!" Xiaoxi put an egg on Han's plate. "Drink this milk too, this one makes you stronger!" She tried to encourage her son.

She fried several eggs and prepared another two dishes for them. She knew that Rouzhen bought a lot of fresh vegetables and ingredients then dumped it into the refrigerator. She wondered why this man had made it.

While preparing breakfast for Han she thinks about Chao too. She began to worry about Chao and don't know how to explain to him that Han is her son. She felt so sad about it.

Rouzhen sat down, Xiaoxi did not say any words to him but she silently put some food on his plate like what she did to her son. Rouzhen silently smiles while staring at her.

He quickly touches her hand.

"You!" Xiaoxi glared at him but he raised his eyebrows. "You forgot to give me a chopstick!"

"Hey, I am going to get it for you, Dad! You give back Mommy's chopstick! Mommy will get upset!" Han jumped off the chair and went to the kitchen to take a pair of chopsticks.

Xiaoxi bowed her head and secretly cursed him. She felt bad thinking that he was lying. She knew that the person who called him was his father. She thought that something went wrong.

After breakfast, Rouzhen told him to stay with Han.

Xiaoxi immediately called Weicheng to inform him that she can't come to work today. She was shocked when she heard that Rouzhen had told her boss that she will not be coming to work anymore.

"Damn man! He was so overbearing. I didn't tell him to called Weicheng and informed my boss that I quit my job! This is so awful!" She felt annoyed with Rouzhen and silently curse him.
