The Cage Of The Past

Xiaoxi Chen wants to ask him about his relationship with Jenny Smith, but she feels too shy. She attempted to ask him; however, she still didn't dare to blurt out her question. She was worried about her friend, Weicheng. She believes that Jenny and Weicheng still have a big chance to be together in the future. But looking at this man in front of her, he isn't bad at all. She thought.

"When are you going back?" Franco Romano asked again.

"I will return to China tomorrow morning," Originally, she wanted to return to China earlier, but Rouzhen Gu did not allow her to go back. Suddenly he left her because of something that needed his attention.

"I will go back tomorrow morning too, and it is better to be together!" Franco Romano smiled.

He didn't say anything. Xiaoxi Chen didn't know what he was thinking. He only drank his cup of coffee then said he wanted to go back and rest. Xiaoxi also went back to her room.

Looking back to pack up the luggage, after finishing everything, suddenly someone knocked on the door. She opened the door and found that he was the driver they used these days.

"Mistress, the young master asked me to send you back to China. He has something to attend in France. You can take the flight tomorrow morning. Take a good rest tonight. This is your ticket,"

"France?" Xiaoxi is somewhat worried. "What happened?"

The driver shook his head. "I don't know the reason!"

"Oh! Well, I will pack up now!" Xiaoxi was in a discomposure. "Thank you!"

"Mistress, don't mention it!" said the driver, then left.

Xiaoxi's heart was even more uneasy. On that phone call, she heard that it was Zion Ni who called, but she didn't have any idea was it let Rouzhen fly to France at midnight.

She only had a few things in her luggage, and soon she was already done packing it up. Xiaoxi ċȧrėssed her lower abdomen. She doesn't know if there is any baby on it. She hopes not to have one because she is not ready yet.

The next day, Xiaoxi returned with Franco Romano and chatted about some gossip, but there was no connotation. Xiaoxi still didn't know what the relationship between Franco and Jenny Smith was. She only felt sorry for Weicheng Bai.

Just got off the plane, at the pick-up point, Xiaoxi told Franco Romano, "Mr. Romano, this is your card, I didn't use it but thank you!"

Franco Romano took the card back, just smiled, and said, "You are welcome! Miss Chen, would you like me to send you home?"

"No, I can take the bus!" she smiled.

Just turned around and suddenly saw Jenny Smith, her face was a bit strange, "Xiaoxi, why are you with him?"

Xiaoxi Chen was stunned. "Sister Smith, thanks to Mr. Romano, Rouzhen has something to do in France, and I met Mr. Romano, so we come back together,"

Jenny Smith nodded and glanced at Franco Romano, which seemed to be somewhat angry.

"I am leaving first!" Xiaoxi is afraid she will disturb them.

"Okay! Bye!"

When Xiaoxi left far from them, she snapped at Franco, "Don't think about Xiaoxi, she is Rouzhen's woman,"

Franco Romano held her hand, pulled her, and suddenly kissed her lips immediately even there's a lot of people passing by.

When Xiaoxi suddenly turned around, she saw the scene and was completely shocked. Sure enough, Jenny and Franco have a relationship. And not just a normal friend. She realized that Weicheng and Jenny wouldn't have a chance to be together again. She was dumbfounded.

"Franco Romano! You bastard!" Jenny screamed.

Franco Romano lowered his head and looked at her, his eyes filled with a mocking smile, "Jenny, why do you always won't believe my feelings for you? My heart only has you!"

Jenny Smith forbearance and pushed him away. "Hurry up!"

Seeing her indifferent look, Franco whispered softly, "Jenny, what I told you is true,"

"Franco, do you think I am a three-year-old kid?" She finally looked up and glared at him.

Xiaoxi didn't know where to go. She didn't have Villa 15 key, so she decided to go to Chaoxing ċȯndȯminium.

As soon as she saw Xiaoxi come back alone, Chaoxing Bai was stunned. "How come you are alone?"

"Rouzhen has something to do in France!" She said a few words.

Chaoxing immediately became angry. "He left you with a penniless in Hokkaido?"

"He sent someone to give me a ticket!" Xiaoxi said.

"No, what makes him leave you alone and rush to France? Did you think he is not Gu Corp CEO that can't do anything easily? What is more important than you?"

"Call him!" Chaoxing took out Xiaoxi's mobile phone and dialed Rouzhen's number directly. But unfortunately, Rouzhen didn't answer the call.

Uneasy and anxiety, but there is another kind of feeling in her heart. In the end, she wanted to know what happened? Xiaoxi returned to China for three days; however, she didn't receive a phone call from Rouzhen Gu. She did not know what happened to him, so she looked for Zion instead.

Suddenly the phone got through, and her heart trembled.

"Hey!" The low voice is as if it is coming in another time and space. "Xiaoxi, are you back?"

"Yes. I'm back in China!" Xiaoxi felt that her voice was a little tired and trembling. "Rouzhen, are you okay?"

"Where are you now? I'm coming to see you!" he said.

"I am in Chaoxing's ċȯndȯminium!"

"Wait for me, ten minutes later, and I will be there!" He seemed to drive because Xiaoxi heard the whistle of the car.

"Okay. Be careful!" She said,

"Okay!"

She doesn't know why she feels his voice is weird, and he seems to have something. "What's wrong with him?" Xiaoxi thought.

Rouzhen Gu appeared at the ċȯndȯminium.

Xiaoxi opened the door. She saw Rouzhen Gu's face seemed to be very upset. His eyes were gloomy and preoccupied with some troubles. He was a little tired, and his eyes bags were heavy. It seemed that he had not slept for a long time. The smell of wine on his body was very strong, and it floated in. Xiaoxi suddenly frowned.

As soon as he entered the door, he grabbed Xiaoxi and held her in his arms, eagerly searching for her lips, gave her a long, rabid, and lingering kiss.

Xiaoxi's face was red, but her heart was even more uneasy, "Rouzhen, what happened? Tell me?"

He looked at her affectionately. "Xiaoxi, let's get married!" Tears filled his eyes.

She was shocked. "Don't you say that we need to seek your father's approval?"

What exactly had happened? She wants to know the truth.

"Xiaoxi! I love you! I love you so much! Honey, you are my one and only woman!" He looked at her, eyes filled with tears.

She felt something seemed to be stuck in her throat. He was confessing, and she was shocked. She was even more upset after hearing his confession. Did she overthink? Is she too sėnsɨtɨvė or what?

"Rouzhen!"

She pulled his shoulder and looked at him. There were tears coming out of his eyes. He seemed to look bothered. Perhaps she saw his tears, he wanted to lower his head, but she held his face and gazed at him directly. "What happened? How long haven't you slept? Why do you get drunk?"

He didn't say anything. He grabbed her on the couch and hugged her tightly and gave her a longing kiss.

She signed. "What happened? Tell me, please? I promised to marry you, and I deserve to know the truth!"

She is so upset looking at him in this vulnerable situation.

He stared at her, and his heart was in pain.

"Honey, please let me marry you. We will get married soon!" He screamed and seemed like he couldn't wait for a moment!

"Okay!" She nodded. She never asked him again because she saw that he was suffering.

He held Xiaoxi tightly in his arms. He kissed her, so warm, so deep as if exhausted his whole life and only being with her made him feel better.

She was puzzled.

Lowering her head and bewildered. "Rourou!"

His kisses and confession make her upset. He said that he loved her and then kissed her, but why did he seem to be suffering? She looked at him strangely, and by his sudden kiss drove her crazy.

He gazed at her. Her beautiful face, moist lips, and tender skin make his senses calm. So kind, after he bullied her several times, she is still willing to marry him. He really only wanted her from the beginning. The night he first laid his eyes on her, changed his life. He is willing to give up everything for this woman.

He wants to kiss her again, but she stops him, "Rouzhen Gu, aren't you going to tell me first what bothered you lately?"

She was hurt when she heard his confession, not because of the contract but because of the fact that he had a fiance before. He is about to get married to that woman, but she came along the way. She was hurt and can't explain her feelings.
