Hua Ruo Lan was feeling so ecstatic. She relaxed on the bed thinking about Mu Feng. Her eyes lit up when she thought about Mu Feng's face. There was a knock on the door, Hua Ruo Lan got up and opened the door.

"Madam your aunt and cousin are here to see you" Chang Ying said as Hua Ruo Lan followed her downstairs to meet Wang Fang and Hua Er Bao.

"Hello aunt" Hua Ruo Lan said as she smiled at her aunt and cousin.

"Ruo Lan how have you been?" Wang Fang asked.

"I'm fine aunt thank you"Hua Ruo Lan answered.

"So tell me what have you been up to these days?" Wang Fang curiously.

"Nothing much" Hua Ruo Lan answered.

"Ruo Lan...Er Bao told me that you didn't sign the divorce papers...may I know why?" Wang Fang asked suspiciously.

"Wow aunt....I didn't know you cared so much about me" Hua Ruo Lan said sarcastically.

"What....are you saying Ruo Lan... you are like my daughter...of course I care about you" Wang Fang said with a friendly smile. Hua Er Bao sat quitely observing her cousin. She couldn't get her finger on it but she knew that there was something about Hua Ruo Lan that seemed out of place. She wasn't her usual self.

"Well...I don't think that there's any need for me to rush" Hua Ruo Lan answered.

"But...Ruo Lan my dear...you know that time waits for no one..so I think its better for you to quickly sign the papers" Rang Fang said.

'Sign the papers...sure...no problem... but I'll be signing your death warrant' Hua Ruo Lan thought to herself as she gave a cunning smile which made Hua Er Bao shiver.

"Yes aunt I've heard you" Hua Ruo Lan said. Hua Ruo Lan was surprised at her aunt's and cousin's acting. If the two of them went into the entertainment industry , they would have become popular by now. After talking with Hua Ruo Lan for a very long time Wang Fang and Hua Er Bao decided to leave.

"Mom...didn't you notice anything about Ruo Lan... something is not right" Hua Er Bao complained.

"No I didn't... Er Bao you think too much...get in the car let's go" Wang Fang said as they left the emerald mansion.

Later in the evening, Lu Qian came back from work. He sat in the living room while his assistant stood beside him. Hua Ruo Lan was busy playing with her son in the garden when she came into the living room and saw Lu Qian going through some files. Even though he looked serious he was as handsome as ever. His black side swept hair made him look gorgeous along with his brown eyes that swept across the pages. Hua Ruo Lan stared at him, the fact that he was also a hunk made her crazy. Lu Qian dismissed his assistant. Lu Qian cold gaze fell on Hua Ruo Lan which made her shiver . Since he was looking at her, she couldn't just stand there without saying anything so she confidently went towards him but as she got closer all the confidence vanished.

"I...I'm..." Hua Ruo Lan couldn't even find the words when Lu Qian spoke.

"If you want the room you can have it" Lu Qian said as his voice lost all emotions.

"No..I..don't want your room I..."Hua Ruo Lan said as she watched Lu Qian leave. Hua Ruo Lan wanted to reach out to him but her hands hung in the air as she watched him leave the sitting room.

Lu Qian stood beside his window as he watched the raindrops. He remembered when he was still in the university. Lu Qian grew up abroad so he came back to the country to study. It was the last semester so he enrolled at the country's best university, that was where he met Hua Ruo Lan. Back then, Lu Qian kept a low profile because he didn't want any unnecessary attention. He attended the same classes with Hua Ruo Lan and her brilliance, her sweet voice, everything about Hua Ruo Lan caught Lu Qian's attention. He couldn't stop thinking about her,he was madly in love with her. Soon Hua Ruo Lan started dating Mu Feng but he still loved her . He couldn't take his mind off her. When Mu Feng and Hua Ruo Lan broke up, Old Master Hua quickly arranged a marriage for his daughter with Lu Qian. He was the mist happiest person. Before the marriage, Lu Qian wanted to tell Hua Ruo Lan about his true feelings for her. On his way he overhead a conversation between Mu Feng and Hua Ruo Lan. Mu Feng was begging Hua Ruo Lan to take him back which she happily did. Although Lu Qian was deeply hurt, he couldn't bring himself to hate Hua Ruo Lan. She was planted deep in his heart so he married her with hopes that Hua Ruo Lan will come to know of his true feelings for her. Days grew into weeks, weeks grew into months and months grew into years but Hua Ruo Lan was oblivious of the love Lu Qian had for her. But there wasn't anything he didn't do for her. He even named the mansion Emerald Mansion because for those her gorgeous eyes and had everything done to please her but Hua Ruo Lan was too obsessed with Mu Feng to notice this. One night, Hua Ruo Lan came home drunk, she had a big fight with Mu Feng. Being intoxicated, she was the first one to make a move on Lu Qian by kissing him deeply. Lu Qian wanted to stop her but he couldn't instead he returned the kiss and the next thing he knows, he wakes up the next morning just to see Hua Ruo Lan lying n.a.k.e.d next to him. He thought that their relationship would have gotten better after that night but he was wrong.

Mu Feng came back again and Hua Ruo Lan accepted him back despite that he still continued to love her. Few months later Hua Ruo Lan fell pregnant with Lu Qian's child. After the child was born Hua Ruo Lan refused to touch him only when her father threatened to disown her did she carry the child. A year and four months later she left her son in the Emerald Mansion and refused to come back. The next thing he knows Hua Ruo Lan cals him and asks him for a divorce. His heart completely sank. He locked himself in his room for a whole week which made all the servants panic. They quickly called Old Master Lu and Old Madam Lu who came and convinced Lu Qian. Lu Qian finally came out of his room, he looked pale and weak. Old Madam Hua quickly called the doctor and begged Hua Ruo Lan to come back but she didn't care. Lu Qian gave up, he couldn't force her to make her love him so he was gong to give her what will make her happy. A divorce
