"I, captain of the First Brigade Kalim Nervhia shall receive you!"

Kalim Nervhia, as he introduced himself, was a big man. His black hair was cleanly cut and there was no other hair on his face. His chin was sharp and his eyes were sharper. He currently had a proud smile on his face as he pulled the bastard sword from his back.

The sword was as tall as him, standing at two meters. He was wearing a loose chain mail that was a size bigger than he was. He laughed proudly as he Looked at Rhaxtyx and spoke as he stroked his sword.

"What scared? Don't tell me my baby here frightened you. She is a tender and shy girl so you don't have to be scared of her." (Kalim Nervhia)

"I must say, that is one big sword. I don't know how to handle it properly but I want to finish this conversation early as it is going in an unprecedented direction." (Rhaxtyx)

"What do you mean? Are you mocking me?" (Kalim)

"Believe what you want. But I suggest you say your final words!" (Rhaxtyx)

"Peh! You think you can kill me?! Dream on! Even my boys here can kill you easily!"

"Well, you gotta prove that."

"If you want it so badly, they shall! Boys! Attack!"

With Kalim's order, men around him rushed towards Rhaxtyx. As they rushed, their swords and dagger danced in the air. Rhaxtyx, without a weapon to retaliate, took a stance and started dodging the incoming attacks.

"You guys are different from the rest aren't you!?" (Rhaxtyx)

The people attacking him were faster than your average soldier. Their weapons were somewhat sharper as well. And their movements were fiercer and refined than normal soldiers. This was yelling a special unit through and through.

"You guys seem like more fun! Entertain me!" (Rhaxtyx)

"He's so slippery!"

"Stop dodging me! I! KILL! YOU!"

"Hey I used to know a skeleton that said something similar! You got the catchphrase correct as well!" (Rhaxtyx)

Rhaxtyx easily dodged every strike. He was smiling throughout the fight and he never took his eyes off of Kalim.

"I thought these guys would kill me. There seems to be a problem?" (Rhaxtyx)

"Hmph. So you have a bit of skill. Boys leave it. I'll take it from here!" (Kalim)

""Yes!""

After Kalim's order, every one dispersed and formed a circle around them. They weren't too far out from each other and they were at a distance that could help one another if needed.

Kalim calmly walked inside this circle and stopped at a comfortable distance, facing Rhaxtyx. He had his sword over his shoulder and was smiling.

"Finally some action! My bones were aching from staying inside too much!" (Kalim)

"Oh they didn't take you out for a walk? Poor you."

"You! Am I a dog!?"

"I understand your feeling so it's okay. Haah."

Rhaxtyx suddenly became down. He sighed and looked down. Kalim was confused but relieved at the same time.

'I don't think I can catch up to his speed. If I have the first strike then I'm good!' (Kalim)

"Huuuuu." (Kalim)

"Hmm? You're starting? Okay then I'll wait."

"You'll regret it."

*crack crack. Crack!*

After letting out a heavy breath Kalim's body grew up a bit. His arms got thicker and the loose chain mail started to get stiffer, no longer baggy. His cheeks got stretched and showed more of his teeth. His eyes started to glow crimson as he looked at Rhaxtyx and his bones and muscles made cracking noises.

"Haaaah! You should've attacked me while I was transforming. Now, you'll regret letting me complete my enhancement!"

"Uuuuu so it's a physical enhancement! I wonder if it is like Miriam's. So, what are you waiting for? Let me get a taste of it."

"If you insist. Taste my power!"

*swish!*

Kalim covered the distance of ten meters in an instant. He held his big sword in one hand and swung it fast, despite its weight. Rhaxtyx opened his eyes wide to this and smiled. He was standing still so Kalim thought that it was too fast for him to dodge and smiled. But at the last moment possible, Rhaxtyx bent his body and dodged the sword with minimal movements. Seeing this, Kalim used the momentum and turned to throw a punch. This landed squarely on Rhaxtyx's face and he was launched towards the second floor of a house.

*Boom!*

"Hehe. And you were so sure that you would dodge this. You couldn't even take a single punch from me!" (Kalim)

Rhaxtyx scratched his head while getting up.

"Ah sorry for the mess." (Rhaxtyx)

He was launched into the bedroom of a family. Poor guys were scared shitless. They were already scared because of the guards roaming in the streets and the fighting sounds that came earlier and then this happened. A random guy flew into their bedroom and was currently standing and apologizing as if nothing happened.

"Hmm. So it works like that. I think I got a good grasp of it."

He stretched a bit and made small jumps.

"It's easy. I don't know why you had to make it so fancy… Well, let's give it a try!"

While Rhaxtyx was talking to himself Kalim was about to return when he felt something. He looked at the house Rhaxtyx hit and was shocked. Rhaxtyx was completely okay and was stretching and jumping! And after a moment, a boom was heard and the house quaked and was almost collapsed.

*Boom!*

"Hi!" (Rhaxtyx)

Sweat appeared on Kalim's forehead as he looked at Rhaxtyx in front of him. He was in front of him at the same time he was in the house.

"A-after… image?" (Kalim)

"Hmm? Ah looks like it. If you focus it on your legs you'll have a lot more speed than before y'know." (Rhaxtyx)

"W-what?!"

"And don't make it so flashy it's not a hard magic."

"What are you-"

*boom*

Before Kalim could finish his sentence Rhaxtyx punched him in the jaw. Kalim got launched back and hit the fountain. There was blood coming from his mouth and three teeth could be seen where he was a second ago. He didn't move and his subordinates hoped he wasn't dead. But they hoped they wouldn't die today the most.

"So, who's next?" (Rhaxtyx)

Rhaxtyx looked around and everyone took a step back out of fear. Rhaxtyx was amused by this but he didn't have any patience left to wait. So he took the matters to his own hands and rushed towards them. With his newly learned spell, his speed was quite fast and he could also focus the spell in his arms for some extra punching power.

After a couple of minutes dealing with the enemies Rhaxtyx stopped and looked around. There were countless footprints everywhere he stepped.

"The power output is quite a lot I'll have to work on that. Just with using it for a couple of minutes my muscles feel stiff. But before that… These guys were special indeed."

Rhaxtyx picked one of the swords from the ground and looked at it. He could a faint aura of mana from it.

"Is it enchantment? Sweet! If a normal guy's sword is like that, what about the big guy's sword?"

He went walked to Kalim and crouched. He was killed with a single punch and his jaw bone shattered to pieces. Rhaxtyx smiled and picked his sword. But when it came to lifting it…

*ding*

"Damn how heavy is this thing?! You must be a beast to lift this! Whatever, a normal sword will do as well. Normal guys are boring and these special guys are scarce. I think I can find more of these 'elites' in the city lord's mansion right?"

"Before you go, you should use the pendant don't you think?" (Yggdrasil)

"Why? I'm plenty strong."

"Yeah but just in case. You forgot to use if because of your anger. You are lucky the enemies so far were not that strong."

"Even if they are strong they can't kill me. I'm a God!"

"Use it before you go to the mansion. It'll take a while so you won't have any other chance."

"Haah. Fine. I'll find a place to use it."

Rhaxtyx went around the city for a place to sit and wait for a few minutes. It would take a while to use the full effects of the pendant so he had to find a place that wouldn't be found easily. He of course slain the enemy soldiers that he came across with. Finally after running around for half an hour he found a satisfying place; cellar of a tavern. He stealthily opened the cellar door and entered.

There were boxes and crates all around, most of them empty. This place looked like it was inhabited by spiders only as there were cobwebs everywhere.

"Perfect. So, how do I use it?" (Rhaxtyx)

"Just focus on it and let your mana flow by itself for a minute. It will flow accordingly to the pendant and knowledge will be engraved to your brain."

Rhaxtyx sat down crossed legged and assumed a lotus position. He then closed his eyes and focused his consciousness on the pendant. He let go of his mana control like his skill tree said and waited for something to happen. As his focus was staying on the pendant, his mana became restless and also moved towards it. After getting into contact with it, as if getting excited, his mana started to flow madly in his body uncontrollably.

From his c.h.e.s.t to his legs, then his arms and finally to his head. New information was being engraved in his brain as he started to understand some things that he had thought up of until now and some things that he wasn't even aware of. His aura also got bigger in the process and wind started to pick up around him and started rotating like a tornado.

"Hmm… I didn't anticipate this. I hope no one notices."

Rhaxtyx's aura started to grow in power as his level was brought up as well. He felt a new concept permeating into his brain and his consciousness, making his previous knowledge firmer and adding onto it. As he let the power surge through him he comprehended more of this world and its concepts.

Meanwhile, there was another unit of elites walking around the town and they were currently approaching the plaza where Rhaxtyx fought with Kalim. This unit was the alike to Kalim's unit except there wasn't a leader to them like Kalim. This a scouting unit and they searched for Rhaxtyx's trails.

They saw the bodies around and saw Kalim next to the fountain and rushed. They checked every soldier to see if any of them were alive but Rhaxtyx killed them with one hit. Their eyes were wide open with fear even after their deaths.

"Shit. This bastard is strong."

"Look at the footprints! It looks like Lord Kalim's ability no? These are small compared to Lord Kalim's."

"So you're saying an enemy with a similar ability?"

"I'm not saying anything."

"Whoever it is, they even killed Lord Kalim. His jaw is completely shattered. We have to report this to the mansion. Let's go."
