Robin sat in lotus position and started to analyse what she had learnt about Qi so far in this world. Every time she used the methods from her previous life to externalize the Qi she failed. The failure was due the suppression she felt when she tried to push her Qi outside her body, it was as though the world was applying a greater force to keep her Qi from leaving the body. The best she could do was to produce a layer of Qi on her skin like a protection film, but the minute she wanted to expand the film an external force would appear and prevent it from expanding.

The only way she could use her Qi was to use it as fuel to provide with sudden burst of energy to improve her speed and power, and she had converted some of neutral Qi to metallic Qi to fuse with Armament haki, both of which were internal consumption of Qi. The only way she could sort of externalize her Qi was through her devil fruit. After eating the Flower Flower fruit a pink flower had appeared in her dantian, as by controlling the amount of Qi she supplied to the flower , she could control the number and the power of petals that would externalize, she then with her thoughts could make these petals into many smaller limbs or a giant limb or clones, she had tried to fuse these petals into other objects but had failed miserably so she name this flower as flower of self.

While analyzing Robin noticed that even though the fire in front of her was burning continuously, the orange colored flowers that had bloomed along the edges of each step was completely fine. Baffled by this discovery, Robin climbed back up observing the flower, which she recognized as fire lilies, sure enough these lilies were present even on the first set of steps connecting first and second floors. Going back to her initial point of half way between 2nd and 3rd floor , she started to observe and study the flower, to her surprise these flowers weren't supported by the tower but survived by absorbing the abundant fire Qi in its surroundings, being s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e to flow of Qi, Robin started to observe who this flower absorbed and used the fire Qi to sustain. Once she felt she completely understood the flower's process of utilizing the Qi, she started to feed the flower of self with fire Qi and controlling the flow of fire Qi similar to that she had observed. She did this process while practicing the martial arts she had learnt in the previous two floor as the fire Qi produced this way was gentle ,unlike the method she knew which was to convert her neutal Qi to fire Qi using her understanding of law of fire. The gentle fire Qi slowly flowed into the flower in her dantian and as soon as she had completed an entire cycle of flow of fire Qi in her flower of self , the flower of self underwent a huge change immediately and transformed to fire lily, just like the flower Robin had studied from. After this transformation Robin did not have to actively regulate the flow of the fire Qi in the flower as it was being done automatically by the fire lily in her dantian. Robin took a huge risk of converting her neutral Qi to Fire Qi like she used to do in her previous life and quickly fed it to the fire lily in her dantian , luckily the flower accepted this and even seemed to grow a bit bigger.

Robin finally decided to externalize her fire Qi, like the flower of self the fire lily created a large number of petals, and these were actually fire in shaped of petals, and just like the petals from flower of self she could combine the petals , but unlike the petals from flower of self , she could create and form inanimate objects be it weapons or armor but could not create limbs or clones. When she stopped supplying fire Qi to her fire lily it transformed back to flower of self and the various inanimate objects that she had created disappeared as well. Robin realized that she could have only the powers of one flower at a time, but this drawback did not bother Robin the slightest because she finally knew how to externalize and use various elemental Qi powered martial arts from her previous life, all she had to do was to quickly complete the fire trial and go find flowers that survived on other types Qi and replicate it in her flower of self.

With the new found power and confidence once again supplied fire Qi to flower of self, to change it to fire lily, and summoned the fire petals , but instead of forming an armor out them she directed them to go into the fire blocking her path, since the fire Qi she supplied to the her fire lily was produced due to converting her neutral Qi to fire Qi by utilizing the most profound law of fire, her petals devoured the fire blocking her as her fire petals were superior to fire blocking her.

Now that blockade was cleared she proceeded to descend down the stair and as soon as she reached the third room she got informed that she had completed the third challenge and had taken 90 days to complete it.
