The Devil's Sleeping Beauty

When Xia Meilin entered the restroom, she entered the cubicle to do her thing.

After she did, she went out to wash her hands but while she was doing so, she heard the sound of some soft m.o.a.ns coming from the cubicle that was at the end of the room.

She turned and saw that the cubicle door was locked but because of her curiosity, she quietly walked towards it.

"Shh, you don't want anyone to hear us don't you?" A man's whispering voice was heard from inside.

She felt like she heard his voice somewhere. She heard some heavy breathing coming from inside. Aside from that, the slick and wet sound was heard inside.

"Ahh... I can't believe we're doing... this here..."

"You were crying, I have to comfort you."

"Yeah... hah... comfort me like this? Unbelievable..."

Xia Meilin's face instantly went red as she realized what was happening. She instantly walked out of the restroom because of it.

When she went out, she saw Lu Yifeng, leaning against the wall, waiting for her.

Seeing her flushed expression made him raise an eyebrow, "Did something happen?"

Xia Meilin vigorously shook her head, "N-nothing. Let's go." She grabbed his arm and pulled him away from there.

Lu Yifeng allowed her to drag him away but he still couldn't help but wonder why she had an uneasy look on her face. "It doesn't look like 'nothing'."

"It's really nothing. Stop asking."

He shut his mouth and decided not to insist since he didn't want to ruin his wife's mood any further. They walked towards the elevator and entered it.

Lu Yifeng pressed the ground floor button before he stood beside her. Seeing that she was still holding his arm in a tight manner, it made him wonder what happened.

The quietness inside the elevator was deafening for Xia Meilin, she felt like she could hear her heart pounding loudly. If she was correct... that voice must have belonged to Lu Xian Yu, right?

That woman's voice was familiar as well... could that woman inside be Li Bingbing?

'No! No! Don't think of that! It must be another woman! That's completely none of your business, Meilin!' She scolded herself in her mind.

"Are you alright?" Lu Yifeng asked worriedly since he saw that she has a complicated look on her face.

She raised her head and stared at him for a while. According to Li Bingbing, she and Lu Xian Yu were friends, and yet, they were doing things like kissing and... s.e.x.

Was this the kind of friendship Lu Yifeng wanted?

Her eyes instantly landed on his soft looking lips. Well... they were married weren't they? Would it hurt her if she allowed him to kiss her? It was just a kiss, right?

She's been single for so long and the only man she kissed was Lu Yifeng. She never received a kiss from any other men... Well, the kiss that Ren Shiyuan gave her during her college days was not included and it would never be counted as a kiss.

Wait... Why was she considering Lu Yifeng's kisses as one? Didn't Li Bingbing say that it would only be counted as a kiss if both people have feelings for each other? That was what Li Bingbing told her back then after she cried because of the kiss that Ren Shiyuan gave her.

Even if Lu Yifeng has already kissed her, she never had a decent kiss with him so the kisses he gave her was not counted!

Lu Yifeng was her husband so... It would be fine if she tried to kiss him right? She was curious and she wanted to know how a proper kiss would feel! Li Bingbing did say that friends can kiss so it was alright for her to allow Lu Yifeng to kiss her, right?

Because of Li Bingbing and Lu Xian Yu, her innocent mind about 'friends' was poisoned.

Lu Yifeng's eyes darkened when he saw her staring at his lips. If she kept on looking at his lips that way, he would definitely attack her.

He slowly leaned down, their faces were inches apart. Seeing no reaction from her, he inched closer.

She closed her eyes by reflex and because of that, Lu Yifeng was surprised. Was she finally allowing him to kiss her?

When their lips almost touched each other, a 'ding' was heard which made Xia Meilin turn her head towards the elevator door and because of that, Li Yifeng's lips landed on her cheek.

Xia Meilin blushed when she realized what was happening. But since there were a few people standing outside the elevator with a surprised look on their faces, she dragged her husband out in a hurry without saying a word. She was so embarrassed that they were caught by others! She can't believe that she almost allowed Lu Yifeng to kiss her!

Lu Yifeng's face became cold. Was she teasing him? How dare she!

Zi Lin opened the car's door for them when he saw Xia Meilin and Lu Yifeng going out of the hotel.

Xia Meilin quickly entered and Lu Yifeng followed. Zi Lin closed the door before he went to the driver's seat.

Lu Yifeng noticed her ears were red which made him smile, "Can we continue on where we left off?"

She wanted to hide from him when she heard his words. What should she say? It was clearly her fault that she gave him a heads up earlier! She was so embarrassed!

"L-Let's just go home... I'm tired."

Did she think that he will just let her go?

"Home." Lu Yifeng told Zi Lin.

"Yes, master."

Xia Meilin sighed in relief when Lu Yifeng stopped insisting on the kiss, "Thank you."

"Mm." Although he had other things in mind. He would not allow the night to end so easily for her.

Upon arriving at their place, Xia Meilin went to change and wash off her makeup. She was about to go to bed, but she suddenly heard a knock.

She went and opened the door. She saw Lu Yifeng, standing tall before her, wearing his casual clothes.

"Did I disturb you?"

"No, not at all." She said. Why was Lu Yifeng suddenly visiting her in the middle of the night? "Do you need something?"

"Can you accompany me for a walk?" He asked with a smile so gentle that Xia Meilin couldn't help but nod in reflex.

Ah! Why did she nod? She pursed her lips as she looked away from him. Well... Since she was not yet feeling sleepy, she didn't mind it. And thus, they went out to walk by the garden maze.

While walking at a slow pace, Lu Yifeng held her hand which made her turn to him.

"Your hand is warm." He said with a gentle look on his face.

She blushed lightly because of that. She didn't pull her hand away since she didn't really feel like she has to, holding Lu Yifeng's hand was actually nice. "Your hand is a bit cold."

He suddenly came to a stop before he faced her and held her hand with both hands. He leaned and blew on it with his warm breath.

"I-If you're feeling cold, let's go back." She said softly, her cheeks were burning red because of his sweet gesture.

He chuckled lightly, "Shouldn't I be saying that?"

"My resistance to cold is pretty high so this is nothing." She returned his smile.

"Is that so?" He placed a kiss on her palm, "Can I kiss you now?"

She started panicking, "W-what?"

He held her by her waist and pulled her to him. "You wanted to kiss me earlier. I saw it in your eyes."

"N-no... that's not it." Her nose twitched as she denied it. At that moment, she just wanted to run away from him and hide somewhere.

He was happy to see her lying after he saw her nose twitch, "If you don't like it, you can push me away." He placed his free hand on the back of her head as he inched closer.

Xia Meilin quickly placed her hands on his chest, stopping him from coming closer to her. "W-wait... Yifeng..."

He paused, "Hm?"

She shyly looked away, "We're friends..."

"You can't use that reason anymore."

She pursed her lips before she looked back at him, "Do you kiss your other friends?"

"You're my only friend."

"N-no way. You're lying."

An amused smile appeared on his lips, "Don't worry, you're the only person I will kiss. You're my wife." He said as if he was stating a fact.

She bit her lower lip as she lowered her head. What was she afraid of? Wasn't she curious about how a decent kiss would feel like?

Xia Meilin faced him but her eyes landed on his lips. She clenched his shirt since she was nervous. It would be the first time that she would be allowing him to kiss her.

She felt like her heart was about to explode. Her cheeks were bright red as she saw his lips closing in.

"Close your eyes." With no one to disturb them, he leaned and placed his lips against hers.
