23. Punishment

“Your Majesty, this is Dongfang Ao!” Dongfang Ao stood in front of King of the Netherworld, looking a little awkward. However, as the Prime Flamen, he had already adjusted his state of mind. Although his steps seemed a bit hurried, the look on his face was already calm and peaceful when he approached the King.

“Prime Flamen, you want to plead for her?” King of the Netherworld glimpsed at Dongfang Ao with a cold look. No one was able to detect what the King was thinking right now.

But please show us mercy!” Dongfang Ao didn’t know about the cause and effect, but he still had to beg for pardon for his daughter.

“She tried to kill the future Queen of the Netherworld. You think you can let her get away by apologizing?”

The King’s words made a big splash in the crowd. Dongfang Ao was stunned and speechless. Everyone else beside him couldn’t say a word either and only goggled  in shock.

Dongfang Ao even started to stammer. He knew that a simple apology or small punishment wouldn’t work at all, because the rules in the Netherworld were rather strict. Nonetheless, what truly startled him was the first sentence King of the Netherworld had said. Would there be a queen in the Netherworld?

If someone else told him that, he would never believe.

King of the Netherworld had always been single. He never even had the idea of marrying anyone. The First Princess of the Heaven World once said that she would be the wife of King of the Netherworld. However, that had only ended up with nothing. Thus it could be seen that King of the Netherworld never wanted to have a queen.

Now, without any signs, the King announced that there would be a queen.

Dongfang Ao didn’t question the King’s words. However, he also knew that there was no way that he could save his daughter now. The accusation of intending to murder Queen of the Netherworld was enough to get his daughter killed. Even if she survived, she would go down in history as a symbol of infamy and be abandoned by the way of Heaven. Dongfang Ling’er was stunned when her father pushed her away.

‘What did my father just say?’

‘Does he want to abandon me?’

‘He doesn’t want to save his only daughter?’

‘Why my father wants to abandon me?’

As thinking about those things, Dongfang Ling’er got even more bitter feelings and her heart twisted due to the hatred she had. The pure white Spiritual Power inside of her instantly turned into thick black smoke. After that, Dongfang Ling’er turned into a demon at once. She would never come back!

Dongfang Ao turned away his head. He didn’t want to have a demon as her daughter anyway!

The distant voice of King of the Netherworld slowly echoed in the heads of all the people in the Rest Night City. Even every demon and every god in other worlds heard that. Everyone was buried in thoughts. Dongfang Ling’er was the third person who was punished by King of the Netherworld himself.

At that moment, everyone knew that the beloved daughter of the Prime Flamen was banished to the Red Lotus Hell by King of the Netherworld and that she would be tortured in that place forever.

When everyone raised their heads, they found the King and the boy already nowhere in sight.
