The Emperor Is Searching

"Alright girls, that's us." Zuhn said as she urged the girls to the front of the palace where they're going to be performing when she heard her group name being called to come and perform.

"Nena please don't forget again that you're standing in front of Yoa." She said pleadingly, then turned to Yoa. "Avoid her foot and hands as much as possible, even if they comes at you."

Yoa rolled her eyes but still nodded her head and followed obediently.

The girls went up and performed just as they practiced even though some of them were taken by their new King's present and Kleila was beginning to get angry as she realized that the handsome man didn't attend the ceremony. 

All her efforts are in vain, this is the thought roaming her mind as she follows her happy friends to their new tent. Even though people didn't spread that much money on them, they were still happy because they got to sit at the tent full of men with money, properties and also handsome ones at that.

Nena sits awkwardly between two men she didn't know where they came from, two minutes ago those seats had her friend but now they're nowhere to be found.

"I'm sorry but I have to go and ease myself." She said and at the same time getting up when the two men started acting in a way her friends will call 'inspecting their merchandise'; they also said what to do afterwards, they said to behave as a charming woman who's worth every cowries and jewelries ..more like show them what you have on the front and back."

After leaving that scene she breathed in the fresh air and decided to go home because she knows her friends will be busy with their new victim but just as she stepped outside the palace, she saw them gathering around, more like pushing themselves on someone.

She didn't find this surprising because she has seen them do this countless times, the first time was the late King's brother ..something to do with loving the way they dance and the girls figured they'd take their chances.

Nena watched her friends for a while and began to walk out but then something caught her eyes, not one person but a lot of them and then her boss before her eyes now met the handsome man. She started walking toward him but then she saw that he is the one her friends are fighting each other for.

Nena wanted to cry as she stood there not knowing what to do. She wanted to use her boss as an excuse to get to the handsome man but her boss was saying something to the handsome man's ears and when he looked at her, it was as if he didn't want her there.

Nena still stood there hoping to get the handsome man's attention and then waved before walking up to him because that's the only way her friends will leave him alone, but he didn't see her and then suddenly, her friends are in front of her holding her hands and they began to walk home ..all of them except one person.

Nammi.

Nena knows what happened. He spoke to Nammi first and this means he picked her, so the girls had to back out.

On a normal day, Nena wouldn't be able to think as they're complaining about the handsome man they lost, but she is thinking and thinking hard for that matter.

"If they don't work out, I'm next. He spoke to me after her." Zuhn warned and the girls all signed but agreed as that's the rule.

That night Nena couldn't sleep, she stayed up staring at the darkness, making plans on how to win the handsome man back.
