The Factory's Secret

Chapter 8 - Tower Deactivated

The two virtual girls were walking towards the elevator. It was as weird thing, just a circle in a tube that rose very fast. The activated tower was on the cake, as they predicted. There were weird things keeping the enter. They looked like turtle, but on their paws were little holes that could pitch blue lasers. Plus, they could enter their head and paws in their shells to roll very fast. They still hadn't seen the girls yet. Happily, they thought, but Jo didn't. It was long since he had last heard Mike and Madd against the director. Quite worried, he asked:

"Guys are you okay?"

"Yes, yes we're trying to fix up the two unplugged scanners. It won't work if there are just two that are plugged, because they won't be powerful enough to fill the molecular fusion, as Caro tried to explain to me." answered Madd.

"Oh, where's the director?" asked Jo.

"We got rid of him, he was tough, but we could make him pass out and send him to the first floor, then we just cut the electricity in the lift and it was fine." explained Mike.

"We're almost there, Jo. We just got to destruct those big sh*ts." said Caro.

"I see that you're still tired and I dont love it you should know." said Jo.

"I know, sorry. How much time have we got left?" asked Caro

"You have all the time you need as long as the director don't come back." said Jo

The girls were trying to make a plan to pass the turtles' wall in front of the tower. They knew that they had to attack on X.A.R.A.'s sign to destruct the monsters. Those monsters' logos were on the top of their shelves and they could create a shield around their logo, they learned from Luna's researches. Luna hadn't got any peculiar powers, but she had a creation gift, as she called and she could create anything that had a link with the territories. She just had to concentrate a lot on what she wanted to create and it was on Aria's ground.

"I have an idea. I will teleport you right in front of the tower, if X.A.R.A. knows I have this power, we're f*cked. Oh, again? Come on Caro." she said interrupting herself, "And if he doesn't know it, it will work. You will walk with me and I'm going to handle your arm, and when they try to shoot, I'll teleport you. Good plan, right?!?" she said, very proud of her plan.

"Okay it sounds good to me. Ready?"

Luna was hesitating a lot, but she had to trust her friend. They slowly advanced in the turtles' direction. They still hadn't reacted yet, but Caro thought it would come very fast.

"Now!" Caro said.

Luna was teleported on the tower front, just ready to enter it. When the turtles tried to shoot Caro, she protected herself with her energy shields and she was capable of destructing a turtle with her attack. She was celebrating her first virtual turtle kill as the other one started to roll towards Caro. She ran as fast as she could but she was devirtualized just after Mike and Madd fixed the scanners. During this time, Luna was in the tower and just let herself float up to the higher platform. There was an empty interface waiting for something to happen. Luna put her two hands on it, but nothing happened. She tried to put her fingers on it it said: "Put your two thumbs on the interface". She executed the order of the tower's messenger and another message appeared on the screen: "Tower deactivated". First, she didn't understand, but then she jumped off the platform and went outside carefully. She made sure that the turtles didn't came back and that the place was really safe. She actually looked out at the tower's halo, it had the same green color that the other towers had. Caro was back in front of her knew computer and told them:

"Yesterday night, I found a program that when you passed into the scanners has no effect on you, but has effects on everyone. It's called return in the past. It backs time up to the time the tower was activated. Let's go. Return to the past."

said Caro before a white halo surrounded them.
