“It was just a slip of the tongue.”

“That’s right!” she exclaimed indignantly, “I washed up in the morning!”

The woman felt like she was falsely accused by Valérez’s words. She straightened her shoulders confidently, and then tilted her head as if she suddenly lost confidence.

“No, did I wash up?”

SNIFF

The woman stuck in her nose under her arm and sniffed. Soon, she took off her clothes and threw them off without thinking, and the blue dress that complimented her silver hair fell to the floor.

“Oh, it must have smelled like alcohol because it got on my clothes,” she murmured with a smile, and then looked back at Valérez, holding her palm-sized slip in her hand.

“You won’t smell it anymore.”

He didn’t respond to her seemingly cheerful words. Valérez was taken aback by her suddenly taking off her clothes in front of him, and honestly, his tongue was tied.

“It’s pretty…” he finally said.

The body that shone subtly in the bright moonlight was much more beautiful than he anticipated.

Her breasts, which he initially thought were pushed by her clothes, were full even with her thin slip. And her waist under the transparent cloth was thin as if he could wrap it with just one arm.

“I need to gain some weight.”

Valérez, who murmured lightly, approached the woman. Her eyes widened at him, and she took a step back in surprise.

Nevertheless, Valérez didn’t stop walking toward her, and soon she was trapped by the wall behind her.

“Are you really a commoner, lady?”

The woman claimed to be a commoner but boasted white skin that he believed she was actually an aristocrat. No, among the most noble ones too.

Valérez, who briefly looked at her soft skin which seemingly looked smooth to the touch, tilted his head.

“Yes.”

He didn’t even bother to doubt her words.

She had beautiful hands without a single callus, a soft body that didn’t seem to know any physical labor, and were indications of being high class. But these days, more and more commoners have accumulated wealth…

‘Well, she’s like a daughter of someone big to say the least,’ Valérez thought.

The woman’s actions were far too simple to be attributed to an imperial aristocrat who risked her life to be modest. To the extent that if she was indeed an aristocrat, she might even try to hang herself, saying that her tutor or chaperone was disgraceful.

“You said your name was Edith.”

Edith nodded at Valérez’s words. She seemed a bit sober now. Peering into her violet eyes, he slowly opened his mouth.

“Where do you live?”

“…why are you curious about that?”

Unlike when she gave him her name, she frowned and looked up at him as if she was wary.

“Huh? No, I’m just curious,” Valérez added a lame excuse, confused by Edith’s sudden sharpness. “I think I might have seen you before.”

Valérez wanted to bite his tongue, realizing that his excuse was quite cheap. However, Edith didn’t seem to notice and merely shrugged her shoulders.

“It’s a relationship for a night anyway,” she said nonchalantly, “I won’t be curious about the young lord either, so please don’t ask.”

“Aren’t you curious about me, my lady?”

Valérez scratched his chin with a slight disappointment. Whether he was upset or not, the woman who had been acting selfishly for a while now shook her head coldly.

“I’m not curious at all.”

“You don’t want to know who I am?”

There was no way that she didn’t know who he was, but he on the other hand had only seen the woman’s face today.

Valérez stared at her, who wasn’t even interested in his background as someone who controlled the underworld, and touched her lips.

“Then you don’t have any questions about me?” he asked in earnest curiosity.

“There’s one.”

The woman, who answered Valérez’s question immediately, poked her fingertip under him without any warning.

“Here.”

His penis, which he didn’t know when, why, or how, had already hardened.

Edith’s gaze began to make him feel heated up, and he opened his mouth with a groan.

“I don’t know whether to call this reckless or perverted,” she commented.

“Think whatever you want.”

Grabbing Valérez’s hand that was on her lips, she took her back off the wall and clung to him. She lowered her eyes as she wrapped her arms around his neck. The white moonlight pooled above her thick eyelashes and she spoke.

“Can I kiss you?”

Unfortunately for Valérez and his reputation, it was a question that he had never heard from any woman before. He swallowed a wad of saliva, feeling his mouth run dry.
