The Gamer's System

As Zeke got consumed little by little, he only had one thing in his mind. The plan which needs to be executed in order to defeat the monster.

Within his expectations is how the monster easily damaged him. The acids within the body of the [Carnivorous Turtle] made it so that Zeke's [Regeneration] worked on full throttle. His inability to feel physical pain however makes him able to endure the ordeal without much problem.

As he expected the monster is soft on the inside. Completely contradictory to its outside appearance which almost has no openings on its defense. Zeke then took out his twin pistols and, began shooting everywhere.

Other fluids came out and, just as they did, a new layer of flesh covered the wounds which he made.

"Well that's also within the expectation I have of you." Zeke thought to himself, smiling as he bought a couple of grenades from the shop.

While this went on, Zeke made his conjures focus on killing the smaller turtles one by one. By concentrating the forces on lesser targets, they are able to kill off the hatchlings. Of course, each hatchling that died will bring back some health to the [Carnivorous Turtle] but this is also part of the plan.

Zeke stayed inside the monster's stomach for a while. Damaging it from the inside on and on. Although the monster regenerates, Zeke thought that, there would be a limit to such a regeneration. Once that pops up, he'll be able to deal a decisive blow to the monster.

"Unfortunately for you, my regeneration has no limit." Zeke said to his opponent as he merrily fired [Umbral Slash] over and over again.

An hour passed with Zeke performing these attacks until, he finally noticed that the wounds have began healing at a reduced rate.

"This is it." He told to himself as he planted [Detonations] of [Poison Cloud] inside the belly of the beast.

On his minimap, Zeke saw that his conjures are also doing their job fairly. The number of hatchlings has been reduced to half and, although the mother heals together with this, it won't be able to prepare for what comes next.

"Keep on healing then you bastard." Zeke said, placing a hundred bombs inside the monster before using the [Teleportation Scroll]. There wasn't much interval between the two operations. Zeke knew that the bombs may malfunction if the acids of the monster melt through them. Hence, he waited for the timer to run out and, at the last second he activated the scroll.

What happened next is this, the gigantic monster dropped to the ground. All the hatchlings looked at the [Carnivorous Turtle], wondering what happened. Zeke didn't stop and began covering the area with his poison cloud again.

With the first boss in that state, it won't be able to perform the same attack that it used earlier on to remove the poison that covered the area. Zeke could see that the [Carnivorous Turtle] is still alive. However, it would take some time before it would be able to move again.

"Detonate." Zeke said, releasing all the [Poison Cloud] within the monster's body.

Outside the monster's mouth came smoke of both green and black color. The [Carnivorous Turtle] shouted from pain and began to execute another attack. It forced itself to stand and stomped its feet over and over again, releasing spikes that shot out of the ground.

This damaged both Zeke's conjures and the hatchlings. Zeke was also hit by one but he immediately stepped out of range as the monster kept rampaging.

"Oh. So that's what you're after." Zeke said as he saw the hatchlings die one by one due to the spikes.

With their death, the [Carnivorous Turtle] continued healing and, if it continued even further, the monster will be back to full health.

However, Zeke didn't mind and allowed the monster to continue on with what it's doing. Meanwhile, he brought out his pistols again, dealing the killing blow to all the smaller turtles that are present. As he did this, he noticed how his weapon actually made different sounds as the bullets are released. Kind of like, a melody which is ironic. After all, the weapon is used for killing.

"I think I have a name for you now." Zeke said, continuing the barrage. Soon after, all the turtles died.

"Conjure." Zeke uttered, knowing that it's impossible to raise a good amount of the hatchlings. But, that's not an issue.

Out of the hundreds of these that have died, Zeke was only able to conjure ten. He then took a [Teleportation Scroll] as the [Carnivorous Turtle] regained full health.

"Lupus. Erio. Lead the charge." Zeke said, making the conjures fight the boss except for the newly added hatchlings which he had other plans for.

As he used the teleportation scroll, he came back to the belly of the [Carnivorous Turtle]. Then, he summoned the hatchlings which immediately screamed as they took damage. Zeke then teleported outside again, facing the monster which now had its health drain little by little.

"Not so easy with your own minions killing you off huh?" Zeke said to the monster.

The turtles he placed inside continuously used their [Counter] ability, damaging the boss monster at an unrelenting pace. Zeke then used [Blood Counter] taking out a huge amount of the monster's health.

"You can't regenerate because there's something constantly damaging you." Zeke told the beast, knowing that the hatchlings would be enough to prevent any further regeneration.

"Oh, and I'll give this as a bonus... Blood Counter." With all of the damage taken by Zeke during the fight, the skill dealt a large blow to the [Carnivorous Turtle], making it gush in blood soon after. All over the cracks of its shell, the monster's blood kept spewing out.

"We'll it's been fun but you've got to die now."

Even without its regeneration ability, the monster still proved to be formidable. It took Zeke another 10 minutes to completely finish the enemy.

"Hey guys, collect all the stuff for me." Zeke told his conjures, lying on the ground right beside the [Carnivorous Turtle].

"Oh and get this thing's eggs, that's what the mission required." Zeke told his conjures.

The [Carnivorous Turtle] has eggs within its body. The stacked eggs will only be dropped once the boss monster eats other monsters. The flesh of its prey feeds the eggs with nutrients, allowing them to hatch. However, without these nutrients, the egg will only contain the soft flesh of a baby turtle. This is what the goddess Yaeger is after.

"Man, all that hard work and only this? The payoff is not that good miss goddess. That things was titanic." Zeke said out loud, thinking that an actual skill from the turtle would've been a nicer reward.

Then something came up to him, one which completely escaped his mind because of how preoccupied he is with a lot of things. There is actually a title which he received after defeating General Erio.

"Where can I find that?" Zeke said to himself, browsing through the options. He found it immediately as he went to his profile, knowing that titles are almost always found here.

"Ahh there you are." Zeke said as he found the [No Title Activated] when he scrolled down.

Up on the list is the only one available. And as he clicked on it, the information immediately displayed.

[Title Name: Titan Slayer]

[Source: Defeating an opponent whose level and rank are 3 – 10 times higher than your own.]

[Title Information: Once activated, the owner will be able to deal a 10% increase in damage to all opponents who are at least 30 levels higher than the title owner. There is also an increased amount of damage reduction which applies under the same conditions.]

"Damn I should've seen this sooner." Zeke told himself, thinking how the skill would've been beneficial for the fight he just went through.

"Anyway what's done is done." He added, putting on the title which didn't make him feel anything out of the ordinary.

After all of this, Zeke finally stood up. His conjures have finished getting all the materials. This excited Zeke as he could now improve his pistols even further and, he could also make a new staff for Allesiah. This is because there are some materials which would strengthen the sorceress even further.

"Thanks for all your hard work guys." He told his conjures, dissolving them back into the abyss where they are being stored.

Zeke then took out his [Transportation Scroll], wanting to sleep already. As he arrived, he saw two figures in the living room. One is Allesiah, holding on to a mug of hot chocolate and, the other is the goddess Yaeger who had coffee. Both of them smiled as they saw Zeke, welcoming the as he stepped inside.

"Welcome home." Both of them said with Zeke wondering why they stayed dup so late. Yaeger then approached him, taking the eggs.

"I was so excited that I couldn't sleep actually. Well then, I'll be leaving you guys." The goddess said, picking up the mission objective which left the sorceress and Zeke together.

"Shouldn't you be sleeping by now? Allesiah you have training tomorrow and I can't have you complaining about not having enough rest." He scolded the sorceress.

"Yes I know that but, for some reason I couldn't fall asleep." The sorceress said, stirring he hot chocolate.

"If you want, I'll make one for you." Allesiah said, an offer which the hungry Zeke didn't refuse – sighing as the sorceress completely evaded his remarks.

Zeke watched Allesiah as she made the drink for him and, while this occurred, a smile crept on his face. Not because of the sorceress, but because of a title which he has yet to unlock.

There are only five titles available for him. One has been unlocked while, four have yet to meet the conditions necessary. And among those is a title which Zeke wanted to have more than anything else.
