The Goblin's Leveling System!

Chapter 39: Killing Mountain (1)

[Somewhere Near The Killing Mountain]

I have arrived near the Killing Mountain but I can't even get close to it without using all of my stats.

Vengeance, Death, Wrath, Bloodlust, and other intents, energy, and aura that symbolize the word 'Kill' permeate the Mountain.

Just being near the Killing Mountain made me back off a little and the aura that permeates it sent a shiver down my spine.

It was better to meet a ghost while having no abilities than stepping near the Killing Mountain while having multiple abilities and having 100 Million in all stats.

If it was a normal person, he would have fainted or got possessed by the killing intent, turning him into a being who brought nothing but death around him.

But I was not a normal person so I might survive this, probably. I might just rely on my measly amount of luck and the help of the system.

My skills on Earth won't do anything in this fantasy world considering that the humans back on earth rely on technology to survive.

I have been wondering about a problem that I have encountered when using the system.

The system, why didn't I get any experience boost whenever I killed a being? I remembered that I had a 6 times experience boost because of my [The Hero] passive skill so why?

*The system didn't tell much about the system since the host didn't have any information access about the system's modes and also the system's true name. But since the host have obtained access to low Tier information, the system will allow the host to know a little about the system.*

*Currently, there are 2 system modes. The stat system and leveling system.*

*The stat system improves the amount of stats obtained every level-up but it will remove experience boosts.*

*The leveling system improves the number of experiences obtained every enemy slain but it will remove stat boosts example of it is the host won't be able to get a double stat boost obtained every level-up*

*If the host is also wondering about the skill ranks, the system advises the host not to belittle a skill even if it ranks low such as common or rare. Skill is only ranked low because of its strength, not its usefulness.*

*Imagine having a common rank fireball but it then becomes a God Rank fireball. How powerful can the skill become? Instead of a fireball, it will become a sun.*

Now I understood. So my [Environmental Adaption] skill only ranks as rare because it is weak?

*The host is right. But in terms of usefulness, it is ranked as God Rank.*

I suddenly felt a sense of foreboding.

*Host dodge!*

A scarlet-colored humanoid launched its body towards me while pointing to me it's the hand that was formed into a sword.

Thanks to the system's warning, I dodged the attack by a hair's length as the sword cut a strand of my hair.

The humanoid's head moves to look at me and jumped towards me at high speed as if it was being launched out of cannon but a much faster and more advanced one.

I stepped sideways to avoid the humanoid but as it predicted that I was going to dodge it, the humanoid changed its trajectory towards me while being in the air.

I ran forward and entered the Killing Mountain while being pursued by the humanoid. The humanoid ran towards me and it catches up to me in mere seconds.

The humanoid slashes its sword-shaped hand into me but luckily I successfully dodged it.

Even with my hundred million stats in speed, I was hardly keeping up with the scarlet-colored humanoid's speed.

As I was avoiding the attack of the scarlet-colored humanoid, I started to formulate my plan.

The pressure being emitted by the Killing Mountain's aura was hindering me thus lowering my speed. The closer I was inside the Killing Mountain, the more pressure it was being applied to me. It somehow acts as a gravitational field.

My plan was simple: Kill the scarlet humanoid using magic or my sword. Nothing more nothing less.

I cast multiple [Explosive Fireball] towards the humanoid but it passed through its body.

The system uses appraisal on the scarlet-colored humanoid.

*Done.*

Who am I? Where am I? Do I have to beat that monster that even the Gods had restricted? Am I seeking death? Am I going to die?

"Well screw it! I'll give the Gods' a favor and beat this humanoid!"

I conjured a sword made out of different elements that complement each other such as fire, wind, dark.

I slashed my sword towards the humanoid which generated a crescent-shaped energy wave but as I had expected, both my sword and my sword energy passed through the humanoid.

The humanoid charges itself towards me at full speed and it suddenly appeared in front of me.

The humanoid clenched its fist and punches it towards my face. Luckily, I cast [Mana Barrier] before it hit my face so its fist rebounded.

Even though it could pass through matter, somehow its body could touch matter at the same time allow it to let the matter pass through its body. It must be due to its [Body Manipulation] skill that it controlled the part of the body where it allows to touch physical objects.

*The system thought the Gods had sealed the beings of chaos. Looks like this place was the former Domain Of Chaos. Well anyways...*

*Ding!*

*Host has triggered a hidden task. Will the host accept the task? Yes or No?*

Yes.

I dodged the attack of the humanoid and cast [Wind Blade] towards it. As usual, my attack passed through it.

*Displaying task information... Task information has been displayed.*
