Axel's PoV:

I wonder what's the content of the emergency mission. Was it to kill demons or kill another hero?

Whatever it was, it would be needed to be completed, or else something bad might happen since it was labeled as an emergency.

Where were the demon lord's minions? I had certainly provoked the demon lord especially when I enslaved his heir so what took them so long to invade the Holy Church.

Now that I think about it, wasn't it odd that the demon lord had not yet deployed any demon of his army even if it was a demon soldier?

Did he send someone much stronger than a supreme demon to attack the Holy Church and defeat me?

If the demon lord had commanded an archdemon to kill me, then I would hardly stand a chance against them.

It would have been better if I went out there and secluded myself so that I can cultivate my power but unfortunately, the heroes in the Holy Church weren't enough to deal against the archdemons who were rumored to have reached level 25,000.

I am the powerhouse of the hero party so if I left my teammates alone then it would give the archdemons a chance to invade the Holy Church.

Although I don't have to worry about the hero summoning ceremony being sabotaged since it had already been completed, the archdemons must have formulated a plan to go against us and they will probably use the recently summoned heroes as a hostage if they captured them.

The recently summoned heroes were still newbies but with limitless potentials such as myself so it would be a waste of resources if they die at the hands of those filthy demons.

It was possible that Aileen and Pedonar could handle an archdemon in a one-on-one battle but if the archdemons ganged up against one of the heroes even if it was me, the heroes wouldn't stand a chance, and not to mention that I don't have the support of the system.

The God Of Worldly System should have granted me a powerful cheat skill so that in times of peril where I couldn't use my system, I would be able to use it instead.

I should be able to kill at least one archdemon and if it was still not possible, I'll use everything in my arsenal including my mana stack, berserk, and limit break.

I don't believe that an archdemon could withstand an attack with all of my multiplied power.

I'll think about the emergency task later. I needed to teach Alex about the swordsmanship skill known as 'Everything Is A Sword'.

With that swordsmanship skill, a swordsman would be able to use any physical object into a sword even if it was a stick or a leaf.

I went to the training ground which was located at the back of the Holy Church.

I saw Alex who was currently slashing his wooden sword and performing cuts and thrusts.

He must be working hard just to become stronger. No, Alex's reason to train was not just to become stronger.

If my intuition was right, then Alex might have known that the heroes' life as at stake due to the archdemons invading the Holy Church.

That demon lord was one hell of a maniac to even send his archdemon subordinates just to kill the heroes.

"Alex! Infuse your mana into the wooden sword evenly! Don't let any of your mana leaks out of the sword!"

Alex nodded after I gave out my advice and he continued his training.

I was only a mere goblin after I was reincarnated into this world but now I'm one of the strongest heroes and became the hope of several races to defeat the demon lords.

Time sure does fly...

Since Alex was training diligently, I checked up on the 12-year-old brown-haired kid and see if he was training his knife techniques.

That said kid was now outside the training ground and was fiddling with his knife. He took out a block of wood and started carving on it.

In the end, he created an anime figurine out of the woodblock. His knife techniques had improved. Looks like he wasn't slacking in his training.

Now what's left was for me to train. Teaching the recently summoned heroes had taken a toll on my training schedule and now it might be possible that Zale and the others had surpassed me.

Well, the chances that Zale and the others had surpassed me were slim since they were also busy training the other recently summoned heroes.

They may have improved their skills but it was unlikely that they had improved their levels since none of us and the time to hunt monsters.

I somehow needed to expand the capacity of my mana pool and it was the only thing left that I needed to do since my control over mana was at the mastery level including my swordsmanship techniques.

I had remembered that the protagonists from cultivation novels had destroyed their qi sea just to rebuilt and expand the capacity of their qi.

It might be possible to expand and improve my mana by destroying my mana pool but it was too risky.

Well, screw it! I'm going to destroy my mana pool and see if it was possible to expand my mana pool by doing that.

As they had said: high risk, high return.

"Alex and Brownie (the 12-year-old brown-haired kid)! I'm going to train for a while so continue what you are doing!"

"Who are you calling brownie? Do I look like a brown dog to you? My name is Distere Krias!"

"Bye, mentor Axel!"

I waved my hand towards Alex and Distere as I went deeper into the forest.

Distere Krias... What an eccentric and unique name.

Alex's PoV:

Mentor Axel had already gone into the forest. Did Axel had a hobby to wander around in the forest using my body in his past life?

I'll think about it later. Now I should focus on what the emergency mission was.

The system, show me the contents of the emergency mission.
