The Heavenly Crystal

Roan arrived in the outskirts of Death Forest by noon and was he greeted by the of tall and towering mutated trees. Although they looked like toys in front of the Winger White Tiger, but Roan realized how tiny he was in comparison. The trees seemed harmless, but they looked sturdier and strong. To think that the Winged White Tiger was able to uproot these strong trees with just the fearsome gales it produced on its flight.

On the outskirts of Death Forest, a lot of strange beasts can be found roaming freely. Inside this forest, there was no room for weaklings. Only the strong can survive and the weak's fate was only to become a tasty snack. It was only a little more than a week after the sudden emergence of the blinding light, but many strong beasts already started to come out and wrecked havoc inside this forest. Roan visiting this forest was like an act of a fool, but his goal of going here was to awaken his hidden bloodline.

'This bloodline might have something to do with that crystal. It was my first time seeing something so holy and divine that it made me feel so insignificant.' Roan thought as he guessed what might be the origin of such a divine item.

"Raaawrr!" Roan's thoughts were interrupted by a loud beast's roar. He looked towards the source of the sound and saw a huge boar, but this one is vastly different than the boar that Terrius killed in less than a minute. It looked like a zuniceratops of the prehistoric era with two menacing-looking long horns attached on its huge head. Its onyx eyes were full of malice as it scrutinized the tiny human in front of it. Its large nostrils were emitting huge amount of fumes as it showed Roan its blade like teeth.

Roan glanced at the beast fearlessly and unsheathed his Sword of Lamentation. Blizzard also transformed into his battle mode and growled at the boar angrily. Roan and Blizzard has not yet fully recovered and it will be hard for them to fight the behemoth in front of them in their current state, but escaping will be difficult since they were only less than twenty meters away from the beast.

If they were not injured, then they might be able to defeat the beast if they worked together, but defeating the beast now will prove to be difficult.

Beatiful flaming wings emerged on his back, and Blizzard produced wind blades around him. The Fierce Boar King was enraged at their audacity and fiercely charged at them toppling the huge trees in its way, but it did not lessen the strength in its charge.

Roan fired multiple fire balls towards the Fierce Boar King, but it did not even scratch the tough armor-like scales that was covering its body. Roan produced a huge flaming sword and fired it towards the incoming beast. It hit the beast's head and left a fist size wound, greatly enraging it. Blizzard also fired multiple wind blades towards the boar's legs, but the wind blades merely bounced off its scaled legs.

The beasts which was now only less than five meters away from them jumped and high and pointed its horn towards Roan who hastily conjured an ice shield. The shield lasted for a whole three seconds before it broke into pieces and the boar's thick horns continued piercing its way towards Roan. Blizzard pounced on the beast's back to get its attention away from Roan. He clung on the beast's back tightly by piercing his sharp claw on its back. The Fierce Boar King turned its head away from Roan and glanced at Blizzard angrily. It jumped madly wanting to remove Blizzard on its back, but Blizzard held on tightly, his sharp claws penetrating the scales of the Fierce Boar King hurting it in the process.

Roan was not idle either, he flew towards the beast's head and slashed his sword while aiming for its neck. A loud sound of metals clashing reached their ears, and the sword slash left a five inches thick wound on the beast's neck.

The Fierce Boar King roared furiously and headbutted Roan with his scaly head which flung him away in great speed. His body cut down three trees before it stopped on the fourth tree halfway through.

Blizzard was angered after seeing Roan being thrown away, he bit the boars back with his sharp teeth penetrating its scales effortlessly. He then tore off the huge chunk of boar flesh on his mouth and swallowed it whole.

Under the influence of huge pain, it charged towards the inner part of the forest while jumping crazily, flattening everything on its way like an enrage tank.

It jumped with full stregth and twisted its body wanting to flatten Blizzard by using its weight. Blizzard hastily jumped off the beast's back and avoided being flattened into meat paste by this raging behemoth.

The Fierce Boar King quickly stood up and glared at Blizzard, its onyx eyes were burning flames of hatred as it stared at the shitty wolf in front of it. Its nostrils emitted more fumes while it released threatening growls. It raised its huge head into the air and roared at the top of its lungs.

The earthshaking sound produced shockwaves greatly scaring the surround beasts. Even some weaker beasts, birds and mutated insects died on the spot. The dead birds dropped from mid air and heavily crashed on the ground.

Roan who was still etched firmly on the tree was not spared from the unearthly roar. His head seemingly faced an assault of swords and was on the verge of bursting apart. His blood vessels were almost torn apart. His c.h.e.s.t tightened and he threw a mouthful of fresh blood. Several seconds after, blood trickled down his ears, not escaping the damage caused by the boar's crazy shout.

Blizzard who was the nearest from the boar, threw up a mouthful of blood and crumpled on the ground weakly.

The boar's eyes dimmed a bit after releasing that earthshaking roar. It looks like it can only use it once or it will be severely weakened since the shout drains a lot of its stamina.

The Fierce Boar King looked at Blizzard who was crumpled on the ground in glee and charge towards him in haste. Blizzard tried to stand up, but its previous wound resurfaced making him struggle to get up. The boar did not waste the opportunity and rammed Blizzard like an angry tank flinging him away in the process.
