The Last Game Emperor

Hearing Diyo's words King Sampem couldn't help but rethink if he heard it wrong. He looked at his attendant beside him and confirmed that he actually said that.

"You gave up the invitation to the Games a month ago. Why are you now intending to participate now that the Games is a week from now?" King Sampem said with slight anger.

The Games they are referring to is the Estafiel Kingdom Adventurer Team Games. It is hosted by the Seven Seas Miniscule Guild. It aims to promote camaraderie and discover potential adventurers in the Games. It is similar to a sport's meet however as they are in a game they will compete in different categories. Monster fighting, herb and ore harvesting, duels and the most anticipated event is the party tactics. The only restriction is that Rank 2 players and above are not allowed to enter as only Newbies will be invited.

Solo Players that will be invited are only allowed in the individual categories. However, in the Party Tactics event, there will be limited slots and are only given to the influential leaders in the kingdom. Each of the winners will be given a Continental Stone which allows the user to teleport to the nearest Main Continent cathedral.

This golden opportunity will further improve their combat standards in the Main Continent as well as understanding the adventures that are waiting for them.

"There's still a slot? No?" Diyo jokingly asked ignoring the furious King Sampem in front of him.

"Of course there isn't!" King Sampem refuted at his joke.

"Who took it?" Diyo asked villainously smiling.

"Patrol Adventurer Team." the king replied since he felt he's just asking a simple question.

"Aiyaaa 12th Saint Mami's adventurer team?" Diyo contemplated for a while he opened up his friend list and telepathically called someone.

"Yo Mami." Diyo casually spoke like they're very close.

"Diyo." a female voice came from the other side albeit very angry.

"Give us your slot!" he laughed while talking to the other party. King Sampem looks at him furiously because he is casually talking to someone in front of his presence.

"Slot? What slot?" the other party curiously asked. "You couldn't possibly mean?!"

"Yep, that's the one." Diyo smiled hysterically. Of all the people that the King gave their invitation is actually to the team of his little sister in real life. However, it is only known to both of them.

"Impossible! That's MY TEAM'S INVITATION" the other party furiously shouted. She couldn't possibly give up such an opportunity although it is her brother.

"I'll give you that thing." sensing the other party not intending to give up he used his greatest trump card against her.

"Really?" the other party's tone immediately shifted 180 degrees as her attitude become much more ladylike. "Deal hehehe"

Diyo smirked inwardly and couldn't help but laugh. King Sampem that is in front of him is still confused about what is going on suddenly received a message that shocked him.

Mami: [Patrol Adventurer Team relinquishes their slot to Kinkyo Adventurer Team]

"She actually changed her mind?" Sampem asked himself. As far as he knows Mami hated being ordered the most and especially the one who ordered her is his mortal enemy ingame.

He finally understood the reason for Diyo to call someone in front of his ruler.

"It seems you have succeeded in convincing her." King Sampem laughed.

"I sacrificed something important for that you know." Diyo bitterly smiled upon saying that.

"What do you mean? You traded something important for the Games' slot?" King Sampem was utterly confused about his query. He thought about what things can possibly change her mind on not giving up the slot.

"Of course. I just gave her the Water Essence farm my team owns." he couldn't help but be saddened on those words. The other party however was very shocked by what he just said.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY?. GET IT BACK!" King Sampem couldn't help but label Diyo as a fool because he sacrificed such a very important area for the Games.

"Nah won't repeat it again and no I won't do it." Diyo waved the idea of reverting the trade. Other people might not notice the importance of the trade as it is common to trade Essence Farms in the game however what Diyo actually traded is half of the lifeblood of his own adventurer team! As half of their income comes from the Water Essence Farm that the team owns it enables them to supply their own expeditions on the Seven Seas.

Without the farm, it is the same as removing the shoes of an individual as he treads through a rocky path albeit not impossible to cross. It needed the party to slow down it's the speed of treading.

"Did Tiger Tail agreed to this?." after all the Kikyo Adventurer Team is managed by two people. He couldn't possibly just make such a heavy decision without the other leader's consent.

"He'll agree to it." Diyo smiled as he looked outside the castle. After all, Shi Fan and the other four players from before are more talented than any other recruits they have so far. And putting them in the Main Continent makes use of the full potential. For Diyo it is a huge bet that transcends generations!
