Yi Ruda couldn’t understand his mother at all.

Why did it have to be Yi Ruda himself?

Yi Jenny was an elitist, and even when Yi Ruda was born, she declared that she had no intention of handing over her company to him simply because he was a blood-tie.

However, when Yi Ruda turned ten years old and wasn’t yet a reasonable kid as well as even able to compete and win Yi Jenny’s distinguished subordinates, Yi Jenny suddenly declared Yi Ruda as her successor. The time when no one wasn’t sure whether Yi Ruda was suitable for the position or not…

Covering his forehead, Yi Ruda heaved a sigh. His blue eyes were rising with malicious flames.

“Anyway, I can’t just stay like this.”

‘I was supposed to get my back phone back at school,’ he murmured.

Article 25. I Guess the Ice Princess was Living in the Country Next Door

The next morning, I finally realized that the school started, at last, when I saw Ban Yeo Ryung standing in front of our front door. As if she also thought the same, Ban Yeo Ryung opened her eyes wide and asked me, ‘How long it has been to see our school uniforms back?’

We then linked our arms, as usual, chitchatted, and sometimes joked around on our way to school.

I encountered a lot of familiar faces while going to school. When Yoon Jung In smashed my back at the alley, my bag was jolted forwards that Yeo Ryung caught me reeling from my loss of balance. Many of our classmates were around us just in time, so Yoon Jung In had to hold my bag behalf of me amid the shower of boos.

As if he thought my bag would be light-weighted at the beginning of the new semester, when Yoon Jung In grabbed my bag in his arms, he groaned with a grimace.

He grumbled, “Why is it so heavy? What the heck is in here?”

“A few mystery books to read during the opening ceremony.”

“A-ha! Can I also see them right now?”

“No problem.”

Replying that way, I still wondered if he was true.

Yoon Jung In… he was good at studying but I had rarely seen him reading books. Could he even walk and read a book at the same time? It would be better to borrow one once we were in the classroom, but why was he trying to read something here?

While I rambled those thoughts in my head, Yoon Jung In took out a book from my bag then flipped through some pages and read only the part at the back. Within a few minutes, he finished reading all the books in this way then put them back in my bag and zipped it up tightly.

Watching the whole situation, I suddenly came up with a possible assumption. I then carefully asked him with a suspicious voice.

“Hey, Yoon Jung In, are you…?”

“Yes, I’m doing exactly what you are thinking.”

Instead of feeling guilty, Yoon Jung In replied with a triumphant air. His confident face struck me dumb.

I barely answered back, “I… I’ve never even imagined that you want to get killed on the first day of school…”

“Geez, come on… He won’t go that far, huh?”

When Yoon Jung In winked and asked me with a charming tone, Yeo Ryung slightly showed a feeling of aversion on her face from beside us.

I, on the other hand, fell into thought, ‘How come Yoon Jung In doesn’t even know his friend’s true character than I do? I’ve heard you guys both went to the same middle school and elementary school, so don’t you know what will happen? The horrifying catastrophe that will take place on the first day of school in our classroom…’ I could already see what would happen clearly in front of me. Since the disaster would occur in a short time, should I pray for the repose of Yoon Jung In’s soul?

Yeo Ryung then asked me carefully, who had been in bloody agony since the new semester.

“Donnie, what are you guys talking about since a while ago?”

“Oh, I’ll explain it to you.”

Yikes, I forgot that Yeo Ryung, who was in Class 1-1, wouldn’t know the things that everyone in our class––Class 1-8–– was aware of.

I told her about how long Yoon Jung In and Shin Suh Hyun, our classmates, had carried on an ill-fated relationship, how difficult Shin Suh Hyun had been from Yoon Jung In taking the class president position and involving Shin Suh Hyun into all kinds of things, and what Yoon Jung In did to Shin Suh Hyun at the entrance ceremony. When I explained all these to Ban Yeo Ryung, her eyes, which were on Yoon Jung In, changed gradually. Just until now, she tried to treat him carefully while regarding him as my new male friend after a long time; however, she was now staring at him like looking at Eun Jiho. For your guidance, ‘How Eun Jiho you are!’ was used as a curse among us.

When I finished all my explanations, Ban Yeo Ryung opened her mouth at last. Surprisingly, she spoke directly to Yoon Jung In instead of using me to deliver her message.

“If I don’t see you after school, I’ll think it finally happened…”

I was astonished to see her frank attitude. Yoon Jung In then waved his head with a horse laugh.

“Hey, come on, you guys don’t know about Shin Suh Hyun. He isn’t what you think. Do you know how much he cares about me?”

I intervened from beside him while crossing my arms.

“We aren’t getting him wrong. When people are too close, we hardly can see the true colors. Be careful, you might get stretchered off on the first day of school.”

“You wanna bet? I’m in.”

“Call! I’m sure you wanted to do this first. If I win, I’ll have pizza bread.”

When I replied as soon as possible, Ban Yeo Ryung also spoke in a small voice as if she thought this was a chance to grasp.

“I’ll go for ice cream then.”

There was also something brave about Ban Yeo Ryung. I didn’t expect she would even make a bet with Yoon Jung In, whom she had only seen twice. Laying a wager on impulse on the first day of class even upon Yoon Jung In’s life, we entered the school entrance.

While we stepped inside the main entrance to go into the building, I heard people whispering loudly. We turned our head in that direction at the same time.

I thought unconsciously, ‘Did the Four Heavenly Kings come to school?’ The boys, however, didn’t like to attract attention, so except for Eun Jiho, the rest of them usually arrived at school right before they ran late. Eun Hyung wouldn’t behave that way, but since he came to school with Yoo Chun Young by car, he was inevitable to arrive on time by a hair’s breadth. Thus, there was still enough time left for them to arrive.

‘Did Yoo Chun Young and Eun Hyung come earlier than usual?’ As soon as I tried to stand on tiptoe with that thought in mind, Yoon Jung In, who never missed any exciting things, also sniffed that something was happening.

Pressing my shoulders, he stretched his neck and flung a question.

“What is it? Why are there so many people in that direction?”

“I have no idea.”

Replying apathetically, I suddenly found a strand of sky-blue hair among the crowds and was frozen up.

‘Sky-blue hair?’

I smelled something… Another thing was about to occur…

When I just came into the world of web novels, I had quickly studied the hair colors people could have. The reason was, of course, to distinguish the web novel characters from ordinary people since the main roles of web novels usually neglected the law of nature. So to speak, it was the same as a newbie driver memorizing alert signs over and over.

And from what I discovered, people were impossible to have such a natural-born, clear sky-blue hair like that; besides, the hair was so smooth that it didn’t even look like it was dyed.

I became speechless while covering my mouth with my hand. Yoon Jung In, standing beside me, then murmured, “I never saw him before. Maybe he’s a transfer student.”

“I think so,” replied Yeo Ryung apathetically.

Since she was always the center of all kinds of rumors, Yeo Ryung usually turned away her attention from the things everyone in school bent their eyes on.

Yoon Jung In switched his gaze to us then asked, “How old do you guys think he looks? In my point of view, he looks quite young though. Wouldn’t he be in our grade?”

“Nope, I can’t even see anyone.”

Actually, I was the shortest among the three of us, so no matter how much I snooped around while standing on tiptoe, I couldn’t see the person whom he was talking about.

Just as I stepped on the flower bed fence next to me, the sky-blue hair reappeared among the crowds who packed the narrow pathway in front of the main entrance.

The person had such a long silk hair that I first thought it could be a woman, but when his face came into view, he was absolutely a guy. He was almost 180 cm tall and, unexpectedly, had a strong physique that made him look decent with our school uniform on. Not only his hair but also his eyes had the same sky-blue color, so he might definitely be a foreigner anyway.
