The Legend of Min Hong

Chapter 51: Absolute Monster

In the training area, Min Hong unclenched his palms, feeling some sense of lethargy all over his body.

Based on his current strength, executing the first seal of the 'Art of Myriad Seals' just once took a huge chunk of his Yuan Qi reserves.

Thankfully, the force generated from just that one attack was tremendous and was definitely worth the cost.

"The Yuan Wonder Gate is unable to store enough Yuan Qi. It would be best if I can advance to the Dan Formation stage as soon as possible…" Min Hong knew that once he reaches the Dan Formation stage, he would finally be able to form his Yuan Qi Altar.

Since the Yuan Qi formed at this stage would be virtually solid and thus lead to a purer and long-lasting Qi reserves compared to the liquid Qi of the Qi Sea stage. So, when he advanced to this stage, he could then freely expend his Yuan Qi without so much worry.

"During these few months of training, I have almost exhausted all of my medicinal pills…" As he thought about the rate of expenditure of his training, Min Hong's brows scrunched together. In just about two months, he had advanced to the 6 Star King and Qi Sea stage.

However, he had paid a very steep price in resources for it.

Moreover, all of his medicinal pills have been exhausted. Right now, he only had two Mid-Grade spirit stones on his person. Overall, these few months of training had basically drained Min Hong of all his resources.

"I must look for every opportunity to secure more medicinal pills…" Min Hong sighed softly as a serious expression gradually filled his face.

Based on his current strength, he could get more spirit stones from the Min Family.

However, because they've paid the Alchemist from the Royal palace the only Mid grade ones they had, he would only have access to Low Grade ones, and he didn't really think them anymore.

Min Hong also knew that Mid-Grade spirit stones were very costly resource to obtain and even the Min Family didn't possess too many of them. In fact, he was already very fortunate to have received some from his grandfather and mother.

"Min Hong!" Just as he was brainstorming a way to obtain more cultivation resources, a sweet voice rang out from the forest area near his training ground.

He turned to see the origin of the voice and he saw Min Qing hop over like a new born butterfly with a joyous hue on her rosy cheeks.

"Min Qing, what's good?" Min Hong casually asked with a deep smile as he lifted another metal bar from the rest.

"Min Hong, I've now comprehended the element of Yin!"

"Bam!" The metal bar Min Hong just lifted fell to the ground with a loud bang as he stared blankly at Min Qing. "Element of Yin, that's the 3 Star Dan Formation stage? How is that even possible?"

After suppressing his shock, Min Hong regained his composure and a look of utter wonder bloomed on his face.

Even though Min Qing had been relieved of training for a while now, she had always cultivated only on certain occasions that it was sure that she would less likely have a flare up.

After all, she was instructed to train less frequently by Min Rou and Min Tian due to the flare up that surges whenever she uses certain amount of Qi.

Based on his calculations, even if he had been secretly helping her absorb some of the Yin Qi that erupts occasionally, she should still require a year to advance to the 3 Star Dan Formation stage.

However, despite all this, out of the blue, she came by to announce that she had comprehended the element of Yin, something that could only be achieved by experts at the 3 Star Dan Formation stage.

This training speed and level of comprehension was unheard of! It was even more ridiculous than the cultivation speed the 'Eye of Myriad Universe' grants him.

As Min Hong stood there, awestruck, Min Qing extended her gentle, slender hands and on the surface of her palm, an extremely cold white glow shimmered and its familiar pulsation indicated that it was indeed potent Yin Qi.

"How could this be? Min Hong yelped in astonishment as he sucked in a deep breath of air. He had never in a million years believed that Min Qing actually worked this hard at cultivation. How could she suddenly comprehend the Yin element?

If his training speed was considered supernatural or abnormal, then Min Qing's speed could only be described with these words 'absolutely monstrous'.

"I don't know either… when I woke up this morning, I felt like there was something wrong with my body. And then I discovered this…" Min Qing coyly spoke as she stuck out her tongue in a babyish manner.

Min Hong's expression gradually turned serious as he grabbed onto Min Qing's delicate, jade-like hands.

Even though her hands felt extremely cold and somewhat frail on the surface, upon applying little pressure, one could clearly feel that her bones were as sturdy as an iceberg.

This kind of sturdy bones could only be accomplished after someone had trained and cultivated for a long time.

As he continued his delicate examination, Min Hong also discovered that beneath that toughness was a bone chilling coldness.

It made Min Qing's bones seem like its marrow had been filled to the brim with Yin Qi.

"It must be the Yin Qi within her body and the various episodes of flare ups her body had endured." Suddenly, a light bulb of thought lit up in Min Hong's head.

Previously he had noticed that even though the bone-chilling cold within Min Qing was savage and aggressive, it was highly beneficial for his own body cultivation with the help of the tattoos.

Of course, it was only normal that this benefit would also extend to Min Qing who was the source of the cold itself.

Over the past year and few months, this Yin Qi would occasionally flare up, causing Min Qing intense pain. Perhaps, part of her body had been transformed due to these constant attacks by this Yin Qi.

It wouldn't be a surprise if her Qi had already begun to be influenced by the chilling nature of the Yin Qi.

Though only a negligible portion of the Yin Qi strengthened her body, the rest of it would have been stored in her body bit by bit just like the energy from the beasts he ate when he was younger.

So now, even though Min Qing didn't train in body cultivation path, her body's muscles and bones have been strengthened by multiple times until the Yin Qi saturated her entire being to the extent that it automatically prompted her to control bits of its power naturally.

With the right conditions everything about Min Qing and the flaring Yin Qi fell in place.

Even though she didn't vigorously train her body from day to day, her body naturally strengthened itself and without much seclusion, she actually comprehended the nature of the Yin Qi and could now control a tiny portion of it freely.

"Min Qing's body must have some difference from others, to actually evolve itself and gradually become compatible with the Yin Qi within her." Min Hong slowly suppressed his shock.

He had never heard of anyone who could comprehend an element without rigorous cultivation and extended seclusion.

If news of this got out, would anyone really want to desperately seclude themselves completely from the outside world just to comprehend the true nature of any element?

Of course, this was not the whole truth.

After all, for over a year now, Min Qing had been occasionally but aggressively tortured by the chilling cold every time the Yin Qi flared up.

Therefore, from a certain perspective, Min Qing had definitely paid a different kind of price to obtain this naturally occurring ability.

"Do not tell another soul about this situation. Let's tell mother and grandpa when they return and ask for their take on this…" Min Hong spoke after a moment of hesitation.

"Aye!" Min Qing nodded her head obediently. She was also well aware of how strange her current situation is and how her family would definitely face serious trouble should news about something of such gravity be leaked.

"Min Hong, it's nearing the end of the month now. In a few days the 'General Market' will open and become overcrowded. How about we both go take a look?" Min Qing pleaded as she stared into his eyes with puppy eyes.

"The General Market?" Min Hong was stunned. This 'General Market' was jointly organized by some of the more successful merchants from the merchant tribe and all sorts of items would be sold there.

Thus, it was an extremely popular place and event.

"Yeah. Big sister Min Jiao and the rest have also gone there…" Min Qing continuously nodded her head. She was young and lively, which was why Min Jiao took a liking to her.

Thus, places of such nature really piqued her interest. However, as she was still on isolation by her mother, she did not dare to go alone. So, she had to rope-in Min Hong.

As Min Hong muttered to himself, an interesting idea suddenly popped into his head. He currently needed some medicinal pills or plants, and naturally he did not have enough funds to purchase the kinds he needed.

However, he had the green wisps and could certainly get Low Grade pills and upgrade them to use as currency. So, he quickly collected some from Min Qing on the spot.

The upgraded pills will be definitely very valuable. In particular the 'Yang Yuan Pills' which was left over from Min Qing's treatment.

They were originally Top-Grade Royal rank, so if he upgraded them to Peak-grade level, there would be so many people striving to buy them from him.

However, he could not sell many of them to avoid arousing suspicions.

As he stumbled upon this train of thought, Min Hong could not help but grin widely as he felt an enormous burden be lifted off his chest. He had found a plausible solution to his current problems.

"Alright, let's go visit the underground auction." After making up his mind, Min Hong didn't tarry any longer and agreed with a slight chuckle.

Thinking that Min Hong had approved of her own request and was willing to accompany her to the underground auction, Min Qing smiled lightly as her eyes curled into a crescent shape, leaving Min Hong mesmerized by the sweet expression on her pretty face.
