The Legendary Ruler

Chapter 11 - The Tang Manor

Under the starry sky, three people wearing black cloaks were running over the building roofs. They were so fast that they seemed to disappear into the night, like ghosts.

They headed towards a luxurious mansion right in the middle of Primus City. These three were Henry, Brand, and Camille.

"Did you guys memorized the building's map"- Henry asked without looking back.

"Yes"- They responded in unison.

They stole a map from the previous owner of the house, a rich leather merchant. By knowing the location of the rooms, it was easier to kill everyone silently.

"But prince, won't the others kingdoms suspect us?"- Brand asked as he silently stepped on tile, propelling himself forward, still behind the prince.

"Yeah, they would suspect us...and that's why I prepared this"- Henry said as he took out a red badge with a beautiful sword engraved on it

"A token of the Flying Sword Sect"- Camille and Brand said in surprise.

The Flying Sword Sect was one of the most powerful factions in the eastern part of the Gladio Continent. It was much more powerful than all kingdoms near it.

The token in Henry's hand represented a disciple of the Flying Sword Sect. It was a thing really difficult to earn. The only way to gain one was being admitted into the sect. It was shocking to see the prince carrying one since he wasn't part of it.

"What are you planning on doing?"- Camille curiously asked.

It was really difficult and dangerous to steal a badge from a sect disciple and If by chance the sect discovered, it could cause a lot of troubles.

"There is no rush. You will know when the time comes"- Henry answered as his lips curved upwards into a devious smile.

They continued running for some minutes until t

a beautiful manor appeared in front of them.

Hanging right over the entrance, there was a big green board with the words Great Tang Manor written on it. The owner of the calligraphy seemed to want to yell to the world that the Tang Clan was the true ruler of the world.

This flashy sign was exposed in a way that everyone that passed in front of it could see it and tremble in fear.

"Not even my family had that much courage to proclaim ourselves the rulers of the world"

"But I like it...maybe there will be one day where I will rule everything under and above the heavens"- Henry's eyes showed a kind of ambition never seen before.

Hearing his words, Brand and Camille were stunned, but then, their eyes also burned with a crazy ambition. The prince was a cultivation genius seen in every one million years. So if there was one person that could accomplish this dream, that was him.

"Why am I dreaming so much? Hahaha"- Henry laughed and scratched his head.

"Brand, have you brought the Disruption Device?"

"Yes"- The man took out a small silver disk from his cloak.

The Disruption disk was a tool made by a low-level Artificer. This device enabled sound and Qi to be contained in a certain space, without a way of leaving, therefore it was the perfect tool to assassins. However, if the Cultivation Realm of the victim was high enough, this tool would become useless.

"Activate it"- Henry commanded.

Immediately, Brand transferred a bit of his Qi to the device and threw it towards the manor. Suddenly, a transparent dome was raised and covered the whole Tang Manor, like a cocoon.

"Go!"- Henry took out a simple bronze longsword and dashed forwards.

Brand followed right begin as he held two black daggers.

Watching those two maniacs running ahead, Camille sighed. She took out a silver rapier adorned with shiny red pearls and pursued them at high speed.

"I heard that the Tang young master went to a casino yesterday and lost thousands of gold coins"

"These rich people sure can squander, with just a hundred gold coins our entire family could live luxuriously for a year."

"Some people really are lucky to be born into a powerful family"

Two guards were chatting as they stood lazily, leaning against the entrance wall. Inside the Anvil Kingdom, no one dared to mess up with the Tang Clan, so they didn't have to watch the gates so carefully and could keep chattering all night long.

Suddenly, a light flashed and blood gushed out as two heads dropped on the floor.

"Take care of the other family members, you can leave the Tang Patriarch to me"- Henry waved his sword, taking the blood off it and dashed swiftly into the manor.

Henry was like a spirit. He roamed the mansion with light steps, not making any sound, killing everyone and everything in his way, from maidservants to dogs.

In these eight years he had to kill not once but hundreds of times, so he had already got used to it. In a world where death was an everyday thing, Henry learned to be decisive and not look back when needed.

Nevertheless, Henry didn't consider himself a cold-blooded killing machine, but, unfortunately, he couldn't let anyone alive or his plans would backfire in the entire kingdom, leading to a much worse catastrophe.

He did as much as possible to not let those people suffer, ending their lives swiftly by cutting their heads off. Henry only came to a stop when he stood in front of the patriarch's room. Surprisingly, his clothes didn't have a single speck of dust on them.

Henry gave a light push on the door, opening it slowly. The Tang Patriarch, the same one who had demanded so much from him that day, was sitting cross-legged on a beautiful jade bed with his eyes closed.

"I told you to not disturb me!!!"- The man yelled with anger.

Before he entered the room, he told the servants so many times to not disturb him and even so, someone still dared to disobey his orders. He opened his eyes furiously, ready to punish the disrespectful bastard. However, when he saw the person standing in front of him, he felt surprised.

"Ouch...you hurt my feelings"- Henry said in a sarcastic tone.

"Prince Henry, what are you doing here?"- The Tang Patriarch eyed the teen in front of him.

Although the protection and surveillance at this manor were lacking, he believed that the prince shouldn't have been able to enter without anyone informing him.

"I am here to discuss some important matters"- Henry told him with a serious face as if he really needed to tell the Tang Patriarch something really important.

"What is that?"- The Tang Patriarch stood up and climbed down from the bed.

"Your death"- The prince responded and slashed his sword, creating a beautiful but deadly purple flame that shot towards the middle-aged man.

The Tang Patriarch reacted pretty fast as he sidestepped and evaded the attack, however his arm had still been burned. He could feel the disgusting smell of human flesh being roasted.

"You have already cultivated to such a high stage"- The man screamed in fear.

From that attack, he could gauge the discrepancy of their cultivation level. He was just a mere peak Qi Condensation Realm expert and the teenager in front of him already entered the Fundamental Realm.

A fourteen years old boy who had already attained the Fundamental Realm. Not even those Sects and Empires from the central region of the continent had this kind of monster.

"I am sorry my prince, please don't kill me...I was just following orders"- The Tang Patriarch immediately got on his knees and began to beg.

"I have no interest, I already know"- Henry said and slashed again.

This time, a giant purple wall appeared. It burned everything in its way, leaving no way out to the Tang Patriarch who was engulfed by the fire.

Henry could hear the pitiful begging screams of the man as he disappeared, leaving behind a burning hell that destroyed everything around it, leaving no traces of their presence
