The Legendary Ruler

"It all started five months ago."- The old man fearfully said, his face showed how horrible these last few months had been.

"The sun had set and the dawn was nearing. Suddenly, we heard loud and wild howls coming from the forest"

"At first, we thought that it was a wolf that lost himself from his pack, but the howls didn't stop even after three nights"

"When the fourth day came, I ordered our team of hunters to enter the forest and investigate the source of this disturbance…and…."- The old man stopped talking.

Henry could see the old man's face gradually turning white as he narrated everything with a deep sense of guilt and fear in his eyes. 

"And then?"- Henry asked carefully, afraid of scaring the old man to death.

"My children….they….they...all died *sob*"

Tears streamed down from the faces of the two old people. Henry didn't know what to say, he could only sit there and watch silently.

"No one returned from the group of Hunters returned"

The sun was setting as Henry traveled rapidly through the Million Monsters Mountains. His steps were strong and decisive, he had only one objective in mind: Kill that beast.

"Here should be fine" -Henry said as he stopped near a big tree with almost twenty meters tall. 

He planned to attract the beast here when the moon came out and they began their hunt. 

Henry sat down and leaned on the tree, trying to clean his mind from all thoughts and cultivate. He intended to utilize every single second available to strengthen himself.

Henry focused deeply into his surroundings, feeling his c.h.e.s.t go up and down as breathed, trying to forget who and where he was. Slowly, Henry could feel a massive amount of Qi floating towards him.

He could feel the Qi roaming through his body and reaching his Qi Sea, where it finally was stored. 

"What is it?"

Henry suddenly felt a different fluctuation with the Qi near him.

"It's as if something is quickly drawing all the Qi"

He could feel that the Qi was being s.u.c.k.e.d towards a certain direction and if it wasn't for his high perception, he wouldn't have noticed. Henry opened his eyes immediately.

"I need to check this out"

He was fast as a horse as he followed the mysterious and strange flux of Qi. He didn't know what could have caused this, but it had to be something really precious.

It didn't take long for Henry to see the source of everything. There was a high cliff with at least one hundred meters in front of him, where all the Qi seemed to converge.

"The sun is about to set, I need to be quick"

Henry flashed towards the giant cliff. He channeled a little bit of Qi towards his feet, just the right amount to not lose control of it. When Henry's right foot touched the wall, it seemed to be glued, allowing him to run normally.

This was a technique created by Henry a few months after he got out of that hole. He realized that it was a must in the case he got stuck in that kind of situation again.

"Unfortunately, I am not in the Lumen Realm or I could just fly over there"- Henry mumbled.

In the blink of an eye, he arrived at the Cliff's top and what appeared in front of him was a beautiful blood-red herb, looking like a beautiful but dangerous rose.

"Bloodthirsty Saint Herb"

The Bloodthirsty Saint Herb was utilized to concoct a pill that could help someone breaking the wall to reach the Saint Realm. This Herb was an extremely important to every cultivator and those Sects. Henry knew that this Herb could lead to uncountables wars and deaths.

"I need to get that"

Henry dashed like a comet towards the herb, he was so fast that afterimages seemed to be created.

*Grrrrrr*

However, Henry suddenly felt a savage killing intent as if a beast was lurking in the shadows ready to attack him. He immediately kicked the ground, jumping to his right and evading a but claw that wanted to cut him in millions of pieces.

A giant black wolf, with ferocious and cold yellow eyes, stood in front of the herb. It seemed to tell that it was his and no one could take it 

Seeing this animal, Henry gave a victoriously grin.

"I found you, little beast!"
