[Things to remember:

Number 1 is Brunel, Number 3 is Spring Water, Number 6 is The Hague, Number 8 is Notium.]

I pointed to the note written on the back of the blueprint and asked Vanilla.

“Do you know what this is? There’s something written on the back of the mansion blueprint. I understand that Brunel is the name of the town and Notium is the name of a street in the capital, but I’m not sure what Spring Water and The Hague are.”

Vanilla furrowed her brow and stared at the letters for a moment before she suddenly nodded her head.

“I didn’t write this, though. It looks like my father’s handwriting… Looking at what’s written on the blueprint, it could be related to the mansion. There’s nowhere else to ask since we inherited the mansion as part of our estate.”

Upon hearing that they inherited the mansion, I made a rough guess about her family background. Perhaps Vanilla’s father was the original owner of Happy House, and he left only the mansion to Vanilla before passing away.

However, there was still an unanswered question, so I asked her again.

“Although it seems related to the mansion, Notium is the name of a street in the capital, right?”

In response to my question, Vanilla’s eyes widened as if she remembered something.

“Is it a place where Ruskin-owned mansions are located? I also have a mansion in Notium.”

“What about The Hague and Spring Water?”

“Well… I have no idea about The Hague and Spring Water.”

Vanilla shrugged her shoulders. Eden, who was sitting opposite us, drinking his espresso, overheard our conversation and provided an answer.

“Are you referring to Hague Street? It’s near the Westmore Station.”

Benton, Westmore, Hornduff, Kint.

So, one of the train stations that you pass through when traveling from the capital to Kint is Westmore.

Upon hearing Eden’s words, Vanilla vigorously nodded her head.

“Oh, I remember now. Westmore Hague, House Number 10. That’s another inherited mansion. But I have no idea about Spring Water. I’ll let you know if it comes to me later.”

“Oh, by the way, what could the numbers written before the names mean?”

As I expressed my curiosity once again, both Eden and Vanilla shrugged their shoulders as if they didn’t know.

“Well, I’m not sure,” they said simultaneously.

Now the replies seemed lackluster, as if even Vanilla had lost interest.

Honestly, if this memo was just a list of Ruskin’s owned mansions, there was no reason for me to be any more curious.

“Alright. Thanks for the response.”

Still, I greeted Vanilla after answering like that. Once her business was done, she bid farewell to me without any lingering attachment and cleanly turned away.

I folded the blueprint and put it back in the dress pocket, then finished the remaining juice.

Eden, sitting across from me, was reading the newspaper. When he noticed me staring at him, he lowered the newspaper.

“Have you seen this?”

Eden placed the newspaper he was holding on the table and pointed to an article. My picture was printed on the front page.

[Heiress of the Sinclair family, Cherry Sinclair. The Worst Cricketer in History…!]

A familiar headline.

Below it, there I was, wearing a uniform and smiling brightly, holding a cricket bat. It was a face that seemed incredibly childish. It couldn’t be helped since it was an old newspaper.

I loved cricket at the age of fifteen, but liking something and having talent were completely different matters. I had exceptional skills, but I was too fragile to excel as a player, and my grip was extremely poor.

At that time, I tasted the bitterness of life while receiving various ridicule from the press and cricket fans.

“Where did you find this?”

“At the police station, they keep old newspapers.”

“So, why did you bother to look for it?”

“I’m studying about Miss Cherry.”

“What?”

What is he talking about? I looked at him with an absurd face.

He crossed his legs elegantly and raised an espresso cup. It was a picture that could come out of a magazine.

“You seem like an incredibly elusive person, so I thought if I looked into things like this, I might understand you better.”

Am I introducing myself? I wanted to ask Edun why he was acting like this.

I don’t know why he’s fixated on me, but since there isn’t much time left until the world comes to an end anyway, he’ll soon find out why I’m like this.

It would be wise to just ignore it and focus on my tasks.

“You only played cricket once, was there a reason for that?”

“If you read that newspaper article, can’t you guess?”

“The public’s evaluation may be harsh, but if you played as a player at a young age, you must have had some skill…”

“My skills were terrible. My parents secretly donated to the team, that’s why I was able to play that season. I found out later.”

I never doubted that I competed based on my skills, but the shock of learning the truth was indescribable.

‘If only I had the strength I have now back then.’

Even if that were the case, it wouldn’t have been easy to excel as a female cricket player. I smiled bitterly, and Eden looked at me intently.

“There have been more than a few people who approached me with an interest in the Sinclair name.”

With a gloomy expression, I took out a handkerchief and pretended to wipe my eyes. I didn’t shed any real tears.

“I tend to be misunderstood a lot. People think I enjoy luxury and naively get involved in accidents. They might think I would easily commit crimes.”

I sniffled loudly.

“I’m fine. I’m used to those misunderstandings.”

Although he never asked if I was okay, I answered like that and got up from my seat.

I don’t care what information he has about me. Since he can’t immediately take me away and is just observing, there is no evidence.

‘Well, I’ll endure it then.’

I just have to endure without getting caught by Eden until the end of the world.

‘I can handle it!’

I clenched my fist tightly and left the restaurant.

Even though Eden’s gaze continued to linger on my back, I didn’t care and went back home.

I should finish cleaning the Happy House too.
