Jack was barely able to hold back his laughter, his lips curved upwards and his body trembled as he tried his best to not laugh. Even when Averill turned his gaze towards him, Jack didn't stop the motion of holding back his laughter. The reason for this was due to Jack could clearly see what Averill wanted to accomplish. As someone who tricked and manipulate others, Jack could easily see that Averill was tricking Saitama. 'It doesn't matter if it's for something good or bad, Averill knows exactly what to do when speaking with the people here, ahaha, this is getting fun!'

And just like Jack could see the tricks Averill was using, Averill knew that of these four people that Jack was the one who wouldn't fall to his mindless trickery as he wouldn't allow his emotions to dominate his mind.

But it wasn't that Averill had nothing at all when speaking with Jack. In fact, Averill felt that it was much easier to trick Jack's mind than the others. That was mainly due to one important factor which is that Jack is reliant on him to continue forward.

"Jack." When Averill spoke Jack's name, there was no clear hints of what his tone was hiding, he then continued speaking smoothly. "I am not impressed by your part in the battle, and do you know why?"

Jack's body stopped trembling and he didn't have any urge to laugh any longer. Jack was now far from laughing, his joyful expression turned solemn in a mere moment as his gaze went towards Averill's sharp eyes. "Oh, please tell me my mistakes if there were any, Lord Averill." The tone that Jack was using in his speech was filled with sarcasm.

"…" Averill's eyes squinted slightly, but he didn't move. But his lips curved upwards into a grin as he spoke to Jack. "You told them to merely stick together? Was that your grand plan? The plan that you, the so-called leader of mere clowns, couldn't come up with a better decision than to now allow Laura and Saitama split up?" When Averill came to this point, he took a brief moment to pause before continuing when he saw Jack's eyes narrowing. "Tell me Jack, wouldn't it have been better to look at the enemies? All of the clones had different abilities and powers, you could have searches for specific clones for Laura and Saitama to deal with."

Averill shook his head as he continued speaking whilst Jack's eyes went vacant. "Laura's speed was superior to most of the clones and she was able to injure the clones slightly, if you looked closely, you would have seen at least two clones that would have been an easy target for her. And on the other side, Saitama could have stalled for enough time for Laura to deal with one of the clones. Even if there were any dangers in that plan, they would have one clone less to deal with if Laura had taken care of at least one of the clones."

Jack went silent as he leaned back into the couch with a vacant expression on his face as he tried to remember everything he saw through the portal when Saitama and Laura were fighting against Spectre's clones. He went through every single detail he could remember, and the more he searched through them, the more he saw his mistake and where he could improve. Jack was confident in himself to stay calm in almost every situation, but, it seemed like that he hadn't been able to calm himself enough when he saw how strong the clones were…

Whilst Jack was in his own mind, Averill's gaze went towards Harleen, the one who arguably did the least yet did an important job. She had managed to calm down Laura and Saitama when they weren't able to control themselves from the urge of splitting up.

When Averill's gaze finally went towards her, Harleen didn't know what to do, she had no idea if she did good or bad during the period when Averill gazed at the situation they were in. But no matter what, Harleen was sitting straight with no hints of fright on her expression as she gazed back at Averill. 'There is no point for me to think about what I did or not, I did do my best, and if that wasn't enough… I will try harder next time!' Harleen's thoughts was quite simple, she would do her best if it regarded helping Averill in any kind of way.

The grin on Averill's face vanished as it changed into his usual weird smile that showcased too many emotions. "You did good, Harleen." That was everything that Averill said to her, he didn't require to say anything more because he knew what he said was more than enough.

Of everything that had happened today, Averill was most pleased with what Laura and Harleen did. They had overall done their parts to the best of their abilities. Averill doesn't need them to become the strongest or the most knowledgeable person, but he would be content if they surpass themselves in everything, which is what Averill saw in both of them.

"Though Averill, with the defeat of Spectre's clones, what will happen? At the most logical reasoning, Spectre would come here with his main body or even bring an army after knowing your strength?" Harleen asked a question she was wondering about since she found out that Spectre and the others Saitama and Laura fought were only clones. If his clones were this powerful, wouldn't that mean that he himself was stronger?

Averill shook his head when he heard Harleen's question. "Spectre is merely a fool that thinks he is still powerful. He may be powerful in this Universe, yet he has limited his potential by not looking further ahead. Spectre will most likely not come here in the near foreseeable future, but he will come when the time is right. And at that time, I will not participate in that fight." Averill's gaze went towards not only Harleen, but also Jack, Saitama and Laura in turn.

Since the moment Averill scanned the entire Universe, he had known that Spectre would be a good candidate to check if his soldiers were decent or not. Averill would only save them if he saw that they had improved and have potential, but if they had neither, he wouldn't care if they die in the battle.

"Averill… Do you have a place I can use to train?" Saitama's voice sounded out quietly in the room, his head was still lowered but his quiet voice had traces of stubbornness.
