The One Luna

Chapter 95 - EXP

Only a few seconds into their battle and the General was visibly struggling. Everyone on his corner had their mouths agape. The reports they received about these potential threats definitely made them expect that there would be a chance their General would be defeated if he was careless. But what part of this resembled a "chance of being defeated?"

From what it looked like, he wouldn't even last a minute against this woman!

Just then, a flash of hope appeared in Vizicsacsi's eyes. But what Sura suddenly said made his heart drop.

"Bold of you to think that we wouldn't notice."

"Huh?" Vizicsacsi felt cold sweat dripping down his body.

Just then, four figures were dashing towards Sura's position at breakneck speeds. These were the first batch of reinforcements Vizicsacsi requested. Three of them resembled an Evolved Hunter Zombie decked in black armor.

The main difference was that they looked closer to being human, like a person who was just in the beginning stages of infection. The fourth one resembled an Evolved Tank Zombie and a Gorilla combined. His build was quite huge with fur visibly covering parts of his body. The fact that he didn't wear any top armor showed his confidence in his body's innate defenses.

"Hahaha! Old Water Donkey, you look like you went through hell." One of them laughed on the outside. Yet seeing their comrade's pathetic state, they couldn't help but worry. They were aware that Vizicsacsi's defense might not rank as number one, but he was definitely up there.

"Be careful! Hold nothing back! Eliminate her, now!" He shouted. Despite only fighting Sura for a very limited amount of time, he was well aware that he was only getting played around with. This woman was really using him as a measuring stick for her current power level! He gave a quick glance towards Luna's direction and noticed that despite being ready to go in and help, the man still didn't make his move.

"Lord Luna, should we step in?" Elder Aran asked worriedly.

"No need. I was ready to go in just now, but she asked me not to. Sura has never been one to overestimate her abilities. After measuring herself against this level 70 invader, she must have an idea of how much she can handle. Besides, I believe we'll be pretty busy soon enough," Luna replied.

He had a feeling that the reinforcements couldn't be limited to just this. It was evident in the fact that they all came from too far to have been individuals lying in ambush.

BANG!

Sura struck hard at Vizicsacsi who was already on his last legs, sending him flying towards his lackeys. The General was on the verge of passing out just from the amount of damage he had received.

As soon as she sent him flying, Sura spun in place with her blades acting as if they were the very epitome of "spin to win."

CLANG!

The three more agile ones reached her first as her spinning blades deflected their attacks.

"What the...!"

"This..."

The three felt as if something had just exploded in their consciousness. Additionally, their souls were assaulted as well. They were aware of the mental attack they just received, but they had no idea where the other attack that was even more potent came from.

They had some idea about mental attacks, which is why they were aware of it, but they were ignorant of the mysteries of the soul.

The three felt their vision double from the mental attack followed by a piercing pain that ran throughout their whole body. Even though it only lasted for an instant, it was an instant during a battle to the death.

Sura never stopped spinning even after she deflected their attacks, so as the three lost their balance around her, the second rotation was already following through.

The fourth person who was just catching up stopped in his tracks. To the people in the Void army that were watching this scene, it was truly unbelievable.

The three General-class individuals fell to the ground. Their heads had already been severed.

"Impossible..." The Half-Gorilla General was in utter disbelief. If he fought any one of those three, even he would be helpless. Yet this person killed them all in a mere instant?

"Run! I can only run! But where to? She's faster than me for sure! Damn you Vizicsacsi! Have you sent us all here to die?!" He wanted to run, yet he couldn't move. The Generals were closer to being human than the mindless zombies with no emotion or qualms about dying, after all. This meant that they could also feel fear. Fear could be considered a strength if it was used as a motivation to improve. It could also be a fatal weakness. It was evident that the latter was in effect for him right now.

Luna couldn't help but be impressed. Those were level 70 beings!

As if an additional reminder, he immediately felt his EXP shoot up!

He immediately shot up to level 62!

"Interesting. The three of them combined only gave about one and a half times more than the Engkanto," Luna thought to himself. The Engkanto was definitely not a type monster. As a matter of fact, he wasn't even part of the invasion. He was just a regular Engkanto, a resident of Earth just as much as Luna was.

From this information, Luna concluded that it worked the same way it would in an MMORPG. Different types of enemies gave different amounts of EXP even if they were around the same level. This was why some spots were more contested than others in MMORPGs. Along with the factor of mob density, the easier ones to kill would sometimes give more EXP than the harder ones of the same level. This determined how efficient a "grind spot" would be. At times, even if the harder ones to kill gave more EXP, it still wouldn't be as efficient.

"It could also be a case of level difference as well," He thought of another factor but he quickly denied it for this particular case. "No, I doubt it would be the reason this time around. The difference in levels isn't too drastic. It should actually be in the most optimal range. I'll have to figure it out later. It's my turn to test my current level," Luna finished up his current thoughts as he looked towards the Half-Gorilla General who was still stuck in place.

He slightly bent his knees, then he launched himself towards the remaining General without even having his weapon out. This wasn't Luna being arrogant or overly confident, after seeing Sura's performance, it was as if he had measured himself to some degree as well.

There was another factor that made him confident.

The True Dragon inheritance! Ever since he had hit level 60, he started to feel that the 's strengthening far surpassed the blessings of Apolaki and Mayari! As he thought about it more, it started to make sense. The siblings, although they were indeed considered Gods, were just that.

A True Dragon, however, a peak existence that even he had no idea what heights they reached in the world as a whole. The strengthening that the gave him became more and more potent the higher leveled he got.

The only question now was, what level had this existence reached before ending up in such a relatively sorry state? Luna knew the only way to have a chance of finding out was to keep getting stronger. This ignited his motivation to level himself up even faster!

There was some distance between the two, but in a few seconds, he had already reached his target. The few seconds was enough for the Half-Gorilla General to snap out of it as he sent a fist flying towards Luna.
