The Phoenix's Legion

Hotaru had finished speaking to yet another vampire elder, time had flown by, like the other members of the five Hotaru had learned countless tales of the vampires and would send all he knew to Tessa. For two years Hotaru had gathered information without fail but on this day that success would come to an end, for in the shadows lingered a being that would not stop following Hotaru.

Hotaru could sense that it was a vampire following him but he didn't understand why, why would a vampire hide from him, he stopped walking and confronted the vampire in the shadows. When he first spoke to the vampire he did not reply, Hotaru sensed that the vampire wasn't hiding from him but from the other vampires so Hotaru made his way to a dark and private place where no one could see or hear them. Hotaru again tried to speak with the vampire and this time it responded without hesitation.

Shadow vampire: "you're quite the clever one aren't you, I was impressed to know that a blind member of the creed had managed to fool my brethren into believing that he was blind but to even convince them that you're a vampire is simply amazing. I mean there's five of you, you would think that one of you would have run out of luck by now, you humans have certainly grown bold, guess that victory in Rovahn had made a good number of you brave."

Hotaru: "how do you know all of this and why haven't you exposed us, you must know our identities otherwise you would have never approached me so confidently."

Shadow vampire: "I am Dracula and I am a friend of Ragan."

Hotaru: "I know little about the warrior Ragan but I know enough to tell you that he would never be allied with a vampire."

Dracula: "and yet here I am, approaching you in the shadows, escaping the gaze of my former brethren."

Hotaru: "an argument with you will only draw unwanted attention, what do you want with me."

Dracula: "you were instructed to get as many vampire artefacts you could find, yet you have presented none."

Hotaru: "it's too dangerous and besides there's no way we could keep them or even take them to Rovahn."

Dracula: "and that's why am here, I know how to enter one of the volts, you and I are going to enter that volt and take all we can."

Hotaru: "I'll have to run by Killshot before making a move its that's ok with you."

Dracula: "I thought you would say that, so I took the liberty of making a distraction before we started this conversation."

Vampire soldier: "lock down the capital!!!! Drayce, Naga and Lunar have been taken!!!!"

Hotaru: "do you have any idea what those three can do? Do you even know what they mean to Raziel?"

Dracula: "I have a pretty good idea, now are we going to the unguarded volt or not?"

As annoying as the situation was to Hotaru the opportunity was too good to pass, so him and Dracula carefully made their way to the volts, with all the vampires concerned with the culprit escaping it gave them the greatest opportunity to enter the volt.

Entering the volt Hotaru couldn't believe how all these artefacts were not behind iron bars or hidden in tombs they were just left b.a.r.e and exposed, they came in various shapes and sizes, swords, armours, spears, bracelets, rings, shields and even a pen, every single one of these things could kill a thousand men. Hotaru didn't bother to learn what they could do, he just grabbed the smallest artefacts and begun to make his way out of the volt, as he made his way to the door he sensed Dracula in front of him holding a very powerful artefact in his hand.

Hotaru: "what are you holding?"

Dracula: "it's the still beating heart of Drayce, I can't control any of his special toys without it."

Hotaru: "what game are you playing Dracula?"

Kali: "Acheron!!!"

Dracula: "hello my queen, you have certainly regained your former glory you cried so much about."

Kali: "how are you still alive? And you? Your one of Labunkas vampires, you would dare steal from the volt even after all that has been offered to you, why?"

Dracula: "that's a complicated question."

Kali: "I don't know what you're planning but you need to put that heart back and return the children to Raziel before you are discovered."

Dracula: "I suppose its time for me to make my final distraction."

Kali: "what?"

Dracula held up a small mirror which made a very blinding light which temporarily blinded Kali giving Hotaru and Dracula an opening to flee from the queen's wrath. The two were making their way to a safe place but the vampires slowly started to close in on the so Dracula had devised a plan, a plan that Hotaru wouldn't like.

Dracula: "here, hold this seed and focus on the artefacts you took from the volt."

Hotaru: "why?"

Dracula: "the seed will hold all your artefacts and believe me it can carry a lot, here, take the seed I was using to steal the artefacts."

Hotaru: "why would you give me this? Why would you help humans and just what the hell are you up to?"

Dracula: "my motive is self-preservation and the creed and the legion ca help me with that but we must first leave the immortal lands with your comrades and return to Rovahn with the artefacts."

Hotaru: "we can't leave, there's so much we have left to learn, I'll leave but the others can stay and continue the mission."

Dracula: "now you listen to me mortal, Kali saw you and she knew who you were posing to be, she isn't a simpleton, she'll go after your friends and she'll squeeze all the information there worth."

Hotaru: "but I can't get to them, how am I going to warn them, I can't fall asleep now."

Dracula: "what happens now will upset you but I promise your allies will be warned and saved but I'll need you to swallow the seeds and I'll need your purple stone."

Hotaru: "absolutely not!!!"

Despite his refusal Dracula had charged towards Hotaru and pulled out the vampire stone and he did it right in front of the vampire lord Emrick who looked at the sight in complete shock, Dracula waved at his former friend and fled into the shadows, leaving a wounded Hotaru behind. Hotaru did all he could to stop the bleeding and as he did this he could feel the two seeds in his c.h.e.s.t, so he stitched himself up and attempted to flee but Emrick was there waiting for him and Ashling soon followed, Hotaru was captured.

Kill-shot's log: "another day has passed; we have continued to gather the history of the vampire elders but am still attempting to uncover the origins of the giant grey vampires. There was a bit of a ruckus today but it thankfully had nothing to do with us s…..."

Dracula: "that may not entirely be true."

Kill-shot: "Acheron!!!? How are you still alive?"

Dracula: "its Dracula now and we have bigger things to worry about than that."

Kill-shot: "Dracula? We? You had better start making sense."

Dracula: "Hotaru has been captured and exposed, you need to leave this place before they come for you, and you'll need to leave the immortal lands with Hotaru before my brethren realize that he has a c.h.e.s.t full of seeds."

Kill-shot: "seeds? He stole vampire artefacts didn't he, and you let him do this? Do you have any idea what he have done? What you have risked?"

Dracula: "worry, fear and a hot blooded temper, my work here is done, save your captured comrade and I'll go get Threant, it's time to leave this damn place."

Kill-shot's greatest fears have been realized and to make things worse he has found himself ensnared into Dracula's web, it is still unclear what the vampire is planning and why he has acted so bold and openly but one thing is clear, Hotaru and the legions plans are at risk. the fives secrets cannot be exposed, it will be nearly impossible to save him but they have no other choice, the coming storm of war depends on the five remaining undiscovered, their agenda and secrets cannot be learned by the vampires. Endure all the hardship the vampires will inflict on you Hotaru, do not despair and forsake hope of salvation for your legion comrades are coming for you.
