The Phoenix's Legion

In Blooddrain, the mighty land of the cursed immortals had made no preparations for Tharion's bold attack, life had remained unchanged, even the caber brotherhood had returned to the shadows. The grey winged vampires took their usual flight route when suddenly from a distance they spotted thousands of aquatic sh.i.p.s with the phoenix's legions emblem. The grey vampires split into two, one group flew to warn the capital while the other prepared the beach's defences. The beach had no military presence nearby but in just moments there was an army of vampires numbering to the thousands, the sky was flooded with grey vampires and leading this large force was Bane, a vampire of great violence and cruelty, a mighty vampire lord.

Bane: "the legion believes that because of their hallow victory against a banished kiva that they can come to our land and start a war? Darken the sky with your wings my brethren and descend upon them with the swiftness of deaths reaper, end these fools attempt at an invasion."

The grey vampires numbered from the thousands to the millions as they charged towards the large fleet of sh.i.p.s when suddenly large horns thundered within the dark cloud, from the dark cloud descended thousands of flying war sh.i.p.s. The flying war sh.i.p.s had appeared behind the grey vampire's forces, before the grey vampires could react the aquatic battlesh.i.p.s had begun to fire at them, the flying battle sh.i.p.s had advanced close enough to the beach to start firing upon it. Bane begun to organise his forces and prepared to retaliate against this attack when another loud and violent horn thundered within the dark cloud. It was the great dragon ship of the dragon creed that had descended behind the army on the beach, the dragon creed was attempting to establish a strong hold while the phoenix's legion battled the vampires at the beach.

Bane: "three forces? How did they build so many machines of such power? Clearly the giant ship that appeared in the great wall battle was not exaggerated, it's the largest thing I have ever seen roam the skies. My elders won't be pleased about this but I suppose we don't have much of a choice, retreat as many of our forces as possible and call for reinforcements, these mortals I starting to…..."

Bane was attempting to call for reinforcement's when suddenly explosions could be seen from miles away, none of the sh.i.p.s had fired beyond the battle field and the giant ship hadn't fired a single shot. Outside of the elder vampire's knowledge the territories beyond the beach where simultaneously bombed, it was from the sewer systems where these explosions originated from, this was an attack from the caber brotherhood. The great explosions even occurred at the capital, this attack disoriented the vampires, this confusion would give the legion, creed and brotherhood a chance to establish a colony on the immortal lands. Bane watched as his forces dwindled without a single human warrior entering the battle, the vampire elder had no choice but to retreat, he turned himself into shadow and flew back to the capital. At the capital Bane had found nothing but chaos, the great vampire castle was crumbling and many vampires had been mortally wounded by the poisonous gases that emitted from the blast's.

Bane: "how could this happen?"

Labunka: "the sewer system was quite complex and large, the brotherhood has been hiding there for years, never thought they would resort to blowing it up."

Alaric: "the only explanation for this would be that the brotherhood has formed an alliance with the legion."

Kali: "with the capital and most of the vampire strong holds in chaos, the humans will be able to setup a colony without challenge, they clearly have no intention of retreating."

Ashling: "as sophisticated as their plan seems it reeks of desperation, they think that their explosions will kill off our numbers."

Bane: "still as short sited as ever."

Ashling: "my lord?"

Bane: "not a single one of their army slayers joined the attack, we must plan our next move with care, they would not attempt a campaign against us if they didn't have some chance of achieving victory."

Von drake: "yes, we must not underestimate the mortals, we have the superior numbers and as far as strength goes they don't stand a chance, they must be well aware of this, I shall send a scouting party to see…..."

Raziel: "you and Bane shall take an army of 8,000,000 and see just how powerful the mortal's defences are."

Von drake: "... yes my king."

Bane: "I will not fail you again my king, I shall put an end to this mortal campaign."

Raziel: "you should be careful with what you promise me; my baby cousin hasn't brought so many of his faithful just to fail."

Alaric: "with your permission my king I would like to investigate the sewer systems that had survived the explosions, I refuse to believe that the brotherhood would completely destroy their favourite hiding place."

Raziel: "even after all that there are still sewer systems intact?"

Alaric: "yes my lord, I fear they may try to use them to sneak an army to the capital."

Raziel: "yes, search the sewers and see what is there to be discovered, we should have been more careful when those sewers were built for our mortal slaves. The rest of you see to it that order returns to the capital and our strongholds, we shouldn't disappoint the mortals, after all, they did come here for a vicious battle and I intend to give it to them."

Even with all the destruction around them the vampires could easily see the excitement in their king's eyes, he expected the attack but he never thought it would be this bold. For so long Raziel has ruled with absolute power and authority, challenge had become a myth to the cursed king but finally he has felt it and to think that it would be his own blood that would summon it, blood in the form ofTharion Dragonforge.

Raziel: "well now I know that you have come to unleash your wrath upon my kingdom, I will rain down my greatest forces against yours cousin and I shall continue to do so until this battle reaches my very doorstep. When that moment comes I shall join the battle and turn your rebellion to ash, what's your next move cousin, what else can you do to excite me, our game has just begun.
