The Phoenix's Legion

For two months the vampire race has been gathering themselves after the simultaneous attacks, Von Drake had spent all his time gathering what he needed to explain to the king what the beasts who attacked Damian and the pale trinity are. The vampires were frustrated with the lack of progress for many of the cursed immortals wanted nothing more than to retaliate against the humans especially seeing how they have established strongholds which they have named the broken fangs, a taunt to the vampires.

Kali: "where is that damn blue night? Has that frightened fool been so consumed by his scrolls that he forgot that his halting the march of our army of 8,000,000 strong."

Karmilla: "can you please exercise patience."

Ursa: "am sorry but am with Kali, we have watched the humans mock us for two long months, doesn't Raziel care? Doesn't he wish to put the humans in their place? Or is this all just a game to him?"

Damian: "I have more reason to despise the king and yet it still angers me to hear his rule questioned, I suggest you keep your questions to yourself."

Ursa: "I didn't mean to challenge my love but even you must admit that we have been dormant for far too long, it's time to put this shame to an end."

Damian: "your right."

Karmilla: "come again?"

Damian: "we have been dormant for too long, we have become lazy and weak, while we have lived in comfort the humans have battled great odds without end. They turned a small country into a flying ship and they have created beasts that can hide from us and poison our bodies, attacking them blindly would be playing into their hands."

Von Drake: "well said Damian."

Von Drake had finally arrived with Emrick and Ashling by his side, the two vampire's had been helping Von Drake gather all he needed to explain the beats that attacked. What he was about to reveal to them may demoralise them more than inspire a plan of retaliation but it was knowledge that demanded to be learned.

Von Drake: "earlier you said that the humans created those beasts but that is untrue, these beats were created by gods."

Damian: "maybe trusting you with this matter was a mistake."

Von Drake: "I was a silver hunter; this is all that was taught to me."

Damian: "and what you were taught was foolish!!!"

Raziel: "you should be more open minded about the wonders of the heavens Damian, considering that some of us come from a world beyond your stars."

The entire room of vampires bowed at the presence of their king but this did not fool Raziel, he could feel the hatred in the eyes of his vampires, they wished ill upon their king but Raziel had a plan for the humans but first he needed knowledge of these beasts.

Raziel: "please Von Drake, continue."

Von Drake: "it begun in the heavens, two mighty beings known as titans had taken great interest in humanity, the titans names were Ambos and Odilia. Humanity like always were being threatened by creatures from another world, shadows with serpent eyes. Ambos and Odilia took pity on the humans and so decided to aid them in their time of need, Ambos had taken the form of a man and slept with a mortal woman. Odilia had granted the child in the mortal woman's body with mighty blessings and power, making the child a divine being. Even with all these blessing Ambos still didn't believe that this was enough, he wanted the child to have access to a power that few titans could use, a moon that was large enough to shadow the heavens."

Raziel: "a moon that could shadow the heavens?"

Von Drake: "yes, titans feared this moon because of the dark power that it emitted, which is why they cast it far away, to a place where light did not exist. The child was borne and as Ambos and Odilia intended he was a being of unbelievable power. He constantly evolved in power and slowly grew an interest in wolves, creatures of great beauty and skill. As time passed the gifted child learned how to change his physical form into a beast inspired by the wolf, he became a hunter of cursed beings and invaders. He learned how to share his gifts with his fellow mortals and before long a clan had been formed, a clan of beasts that slowly begun to conquer the world, they called themselves Lycan's."

Raziel: "Lycan's, I like that name, perhaps when all this is done with I'll keep one as a pet."

Damien: "maybe teach it how to roll over, play dead and even fetch."

Von Drake: "am afraid that is impossible, you see the Lycan's had become so powerful that Ambos had adopted them as his true sons and begun to teach them secrets about the heavens. Ambos believed that the Lycan's could become soldiers loyal to the titans but the original lycan had no intention of being forever enslaved to the titan's rule. His next evolution was something that sealed his fate as an enemy of heaven, he somehow gained the ability to hide from titans as well as developed a venom that could kill immortal beings, including titans. His first victim was the titan Ambos, one bite to the neck brought the titan to his knees, the chosen child then devoured the titan Ambos and slowly began to evolve into a titan, immortality was the first step he took in becoming a god like being."

Raziel: "if these Lycan's were that powerful then why didn't my family find them on earth."

Von Drake: "because when your family arrived on earth they were long extinct, the titan Odilia was filled with so much guilt and shame for allowing such a race to come into being that she surrendered her own immortal life into creating a clan that would kill the Lycan's. With the aid of a being known as the great blacksmith, her life force was poured into a giant silver rose which carriedpowerful curse seals within it. The kind of curses that would kill immortal beings only these were created specifically for Lycan's.

The titan Odilia insured this by using the chosen child's umbilical cord to keep the cursed seals use specific for the Lycan's, it was to ensure that the silver rose would not be used against humanity. The silver rose brought the birth of the silver hunters, my former clan, the ancient ones of my people killed the Lycan's into extinction, or at least that was what we thought. It was said that the original Lycan's children were hidden from the world and that this brotherhood was charged with keeping them hidden. The ancients waited patiently for these beasts to return and from what I know only one of these elders still lives today."

Damian: "so the Lycan's have returned? You knew all this and yet never bothered to wipe out the brotherhood, how could you allow this?"

Von Drake: "finding the brother hood was impossible you know this to be true, none of my hunter elders had ever seen a Lycan, the only one who did was nothing more than a mummy that could barely speak."

Damian: "but they died so easily, surely these beasts must have been…."

Von Drake: "the ones you killed were undeveloped but the one that attacked Alaric was the real thing, I have gathered my greatest sorcerers to tap into the power of the silver rose that flows into the hunter weapons I have gathered over the years. They have awakened, that proves that these are in fact the true Lycan's, the silver kingdoms have returned and the king of beast's has returned to reclaim his throne."

Damian: "and where exactly is this king of beast's throne exactly."

Von Drake: "we're standing on it, this world is his kingdom and every throne ever built, past, present and future is his to claim."

Raziel: "you don't have enough silver hunter weapons for our armies and only a hunter can use them, the rest of the vampires shall have to rely on their own strength's, we will need our best magic users in good health if we are to stand a chance.

Kali: "oh good, so only Von Drake can protect himself."

Raziel: "if they are in a weak state then they can still be killed by our hands as Damian demonstrated and I believe that the silver hunters are fighting alongside these Lycan's, I do believe that the hunters and the legion have an alliance."

Ursa: "we must admire the mortal's efforts; they certainly have made powerful alliances so as to ensure victory."

Raziel: "two months, that is how long they have settled on my lands, they have killed my kin, and mocked my rule and authority. I gave them the freedom to live in Rovahn and they dared to build a wall, they committed this sin twice, and now they have dared to go to war with me. Foolish mortals, for such a thing to be possible we would have to be equals, and such a thing will never be true, it will never come to fruition, it's time for these mongrels to see the cost of such defiance."

Raziel had picked up a spear and infused his dark power upon it, he then threw it at the direction of the mortal colonies, no vampire in the capital had seen this but the spear Raziel threw reached the broken fang colonies and split the great dragon in half. The king of vampires had patiently looked at all the mortals had unleashed on the immortal lands, now it was Raziel's turn to act, the king of vampires was ready to meet the mortal alliance on the battlefield.

Tharion's log: "one minute were all at our battle stations and the next thing we know the great dragon is split in half by some red light, I was wondering how long it would take for our taunt to finally provoke a reaction but finally it has come. This plan can go wrong in so many ways but if my knowledge of my cousin is accurate he will meet us on the front lines, that will be our opening, it will take all of us to hold him here with his vampires but we will give the others all the time needed to destroy that dark tower. Come Raziel and throw everything you have at us, for we are ready to sacrifice everything for our comrade'ssuccess, Tharion of the phoenix's legion signing out."
