The Phoenix's Legion

Dracula alongside his loyal servant Vergil and the beautiful and fearsome lycan Ayah battled the tall vampire elder known as Legion, a vampire that possessed an incredibly powerful connection to blasphemy magic. Legion was always standing perfectly still as he battles Dracula and his allies, depending on magic rather than physical strength. The strange which he used to cast blasphemy magic, this dark object was both his sword and shield and no matter how great the attack, Legion would vampire elder would put his hands together and would summon a crystal ball remain untouched.

Legion: "we understand the d.e.s.i.r.e of mortals for we were once and as vile as we find you Dracula we do not blame you're for desiring a better kingdom but all of you must stop this. Serpents in the shadows have been leaking into our world, they have been plotting in the shadows, waiting for the chance to claim us all. This tower is the only thing that keeps them at bay, Lilith's prison must remain unharmed for the good of our realm."

Ayah: "do you honestly expect us to bow to your will? I don't know what it is you speak of but this world of darkness cannot be allowed to thrive any longer, my people and king need the moon to make us whole and your cloud is in our way."

Dracula: "and mine, I may not have the power to defeat you alone but there is more than one mighty vampire within, I carry a legion of my own, you and I are not so dissimilar."

Legion: "those monsters are impossible to control; you are a fool for believing you could use them, an eternal slumber was all that could keep them at bay, you must slumber them once more before they barge through your very soul."

Dracula: "oh but I can, with the combined strength of Kali's monstrous children that birthed the oni-beasts, the strength of Luna the berserker, the wisdom of Drayce and the fire of Naga I shall show you a power that will bring your king to his knees."

Dracula's strength had grown tremendously, Legion was no longer able to shield himself from Dracula, Vergil followed his masters lead and Ayah took the opportunity to assume her four legged lycan form. Ayah's lycan form was a wolf of beautiful grey fur that carried a glorious red markings of the brotherhood, proof of her high ranking. Legion at first appeared to be cheeky but it appeared that the vampire elder had no skill outside of magic, Dracula continued to thrust closer and closer to Legion, the elder attempted to cage Dracula but he was impossible to contain.

Vergil took the opening and grabbed the red ball Legion was holding but it turned on him and returned to Legion's hands, Ayah in her beast form was just too wild to land anything effective against the vampire elder. Dracula used the strength of Raziel's cursed offspring incredibly well until he dared to use Naga's cursed dragon fire, the sacred ability that was only associated to the Dragonforge family broke his control.

The cursed offspring of Raziel had gone berserk, unleashing their wrath on Dracula from the inside, Dracula fell to the ground and entered a seizure like state. Legion looked down to the rebellious vampire with pity and shame, for was this not what the vampire elder had foretold?

Legion: "you poor misguided fool, their tombs put them in a deep and peaceful slumber but thanks to you they have awoken from that slumber. Now laid there on the floor you will be torn apart by those abominations or you could release them but I doubt your monarch aspirations would survive such a thing."

Ayah: "then I guess his fortunate to have brought a lycan with him."

Legion looked behind him in shock, he knew better than most that a lycan in its beast form lost the ability to speak but there she was. The she wolf's beast form begun to shrink and started to stand on two legs, the lycan mist swallowed her up and when it cleared away legion saw Ayah in a humanoid lycan form. Her grey fur had turned into a thin armour, the beauty of her human form restored and her lycan powers became honed and focused. She charged towards legion and shattered his red orb and ripped him in half, to insure his death Ayah unleashed the song of war ability that Ragna was famed for only hers was so powerful that it splattered legion into a soup, thick and chunky.

The walls of the dark tower shattered and cracked, the tower trembled and now all the vampires outside knew that our heroes were inside the tower. Dracula finally managed to assume control and come to, whilst Ayah returned to her human form completely drained of strength, legion in a soupy mess could be seen retreating through the cracks of the walls with the cry of 500 souls.

Ayah: "how could that vampire still be alive? I gave everything to that attack, he shouldn't be alive."

Dracula: "don't be too hard on yourself, an elder is very difficult to kill, I guess we should have had an army slayer with us, their weapons seem to be the most effective against my kind. Legion has only been a strange one, I doubt any vampire could still be alive in such a state, including me."

Ayah: "I suppose a warrior from the legion would have been helpful, guess your stronger than I gave you credit for to resume control of those monsters. I couldn't see but I could feel, Raziel's children won't let you claim their strength."

Dracula: "you can sense them?"

Ayah: "of course, the female seems to be the most hostile."

Dracula: "not surprised, I've been using her to grow my army within me."

Ayah: "what?"

Dracula: "don't concern yourself with such things considering we have other things to worry about, the vampire force of the capital has begun to converge on the dark tower."

Ayah: "that last attack definitely caught the vampire's attention, that form took everything I had, I won't be able to use it again, without the moon I could only hold it for but a brief moment."

Dracula: "I guess we shouldn't have been so bold to use power that we hadn't fully learned to control, great power has a way of tempting us to use it, a seduction of the soul."

Ayah: "I doubt were the only ones guilty of this, with my gauntlet I could hold them back for a while, give the rest of you a chance to recover, you and your vampire must complete the mission."

Dracula: "don't get heroic with me, I still have enough to put the laser vampires in their place, Dracula may not have been an elder but I was a lord like no other, Vergil get up!!!"

Vergil: "yes my lord."

Dracula: "we have to gather ourselves as best we can and make our way to the bottom of the tower, buy our friends at the summit the time they need to end this."

Vergil: "my lord would it not be better to aid them; Lilith can't possibly be an easy opponent to face, if we joined them we could overwhelm her, your strength could best hers, I know it can."

Dracula: "in this state? Lilith would cut through us with ease, besides, if Ragan is the king Ayah and War fang describe him to be, if he is the king that I believed him to be then I do believe the success of our mission is in good hands. The lycan king and his comrades will prevail but not if the vampire hordes stand in their way, we must beat them back and keep them away from the tower at all costs."

Dracula, Vergil and Ayah made it to the bottom of the tower and there they found Killshot, War fang and Rose waiting for them. Ayah howled to the sky, calling all the members of the saber brotherhood to her. The brotherhood and our heroes had formed a last line of defence to beat back the horde of vampire that charged towards them from the sky and the ground.

Killshot's log: "I don't know what you've turned into boy but if you're still the warrior I trained you to be I sure could use one more of your miracles. The others and I will give you all the time you need to destroy that damn tower, I swear to you Ragna that not one vampire will enter that tower. We have pushed further than anyone would have dared to believe, I know today is the day we stand on top, today we win, today fate is on our side, captain Killshot of the mortal alliance signing out."
