The Phoenix's Legion

Back in the silver caves, Helios and Kill-shot have received information from Gilgamesh's scouts, the information clearly states that Acheron would be making his way to the black ocean with a convoy full of children. Kill-shot and Helios were returning to the hellboken to set off for the black ocean, the plan was to co-ordinate with the legion army being led by Helios's brother, Drago. Right next to the hellboken stood two men, one was a young man with short brown hair who wore the same brown armour as Helios. The other man had long dark hair and wore a blue armour but it wasn't that of a knight, the armour was that of a samurai, it was Kazuya, the man that was expected to wait for Acheron at the black sea, the other man was Helios's apprentice, his name was Dante.

Helios: "good to see you two still in one piece."

Dante: "that's funny coming from the man who left me to fight a horde of shoguns alone."

Kazuya: "I don't know why your complaining, you're not the one who was waiting for days at the black oceans for a damn no show, which reminds me, what exactly are we doing in the silver caves?"

Kill-shot: "he called you back because you're going to be rolling with the hellboken crew now."

Dante: "the hellboken crew? Then that means your Kill-shot, I've heard a lot about you guys, so where is the wielder of the shogun reaper, where is Ragna."

Thomas: "gone, he packed up and hit the road."

Vanessa: "good riddance if you ask me."

Kill-shot: "where the hell could he have possibly gone?"

Vanessa: "the coward finally..."

Kill-shot: "Ragna is many things but a coward is not one of them!!!"

Helios: "we don't have time to worry about some lost boy, we have to go and we have to go now."

Kazuya: "Helios is right, Acheron is probably half way to the black ocean by now, we can't stand here wondering were some coward has gone."

Vanessa: "how could he reach the black ocean isn't the legion stationed at the walls of Rovahn, how will...…"

Kiva: "don't you dare call him a coward!!!"

Dante: "let's not resort to threatening one another, we are on the same team, aren't we? Besides, the eastern walls of Rovahn are abandoned, the shogun breeder never allowed the legion to completely finish it, if Acheron is making his way out of Rovahn then he will be heading to the eastern wall which just so happens to be quite close from here."

Kazuya: "originally I believed he would avoid the great eastern canyon but from what we have gathered the tunnel system the breeder has dug up would undoubtedly lead it beyond the eastern wall."

Dante: "my magi believe that the breeder had recently surfaced somewhere close to the eastern canyon, we have to stop it before it reaches the canyon."

Kill-shot: "with all the tunnels and shoguns at the tunnel and not to mention Kazuya's dragon creed and the cities that surround it, it would be impossible to find it."

Helios: "Then we have no time for debate, gather all that you own and move out, today we put an end to Acherons sick game."

Kill-shot felt betrayed, to think that after all that the crew has gone through, at a time he needed him the most, Ragna just runs away? As hurt as he was, Kill-shot had to lead the others with prince Helios and his men. Far outside of the silver caves, Acheron has finally made his way to the black ocean, with him was a large convoy carrying hundreds of children, his plan was to send them to the vampire kingdom were they would live the rest of their days giving their blood to feed the vampires. The vampire Acheron began to gently slap the surface of the water, the ripples formed from the slaps had called another breeder from the depth of the ocean, it's body was by far a lot larger than the previous shogun breeder. It was like a moving shogun hive; Acheron would use this enormous beast to carry the large convoy full of children and send it to Razeal.

Just as the creature reached for the convoy a large shout roared from the sky and as the creature looked up it saw a single man diving right towards it, it was Ragna attempting to use the same technique that had failed against the previous shogun queen only this time he attacked it using the shogun slayer sword. The blow was so hard that it brought the giant shogun queen to her knees, Acheron was enthralled by the boy's roar and wild power, the giant was completely dazed, so dazed that it could no longer move.

Acheron: "my, my, my, I've seen men face me with swords, axes, hammers, spears and guns but never has a mortal faced me with a screamer blade, I must admit boy that you have impressed me."

Ragna: "you think that's impressive? Wait till you see what these hands do to you!!!"

Acheron: "ah, so you're the one that was calling to me, how did you do that? Your clearly to wild to be a magi and I don't see anything special about your soul, so where are you getting this power from?"

Ragna: "you're about to find out."

Ragna charged after Acheron like a wild animal, unleashing multiple strikes at the vampire lord but like the battle with Johnathan, Acheron was able to easily dodge every last one of Ragna's strikes but as the fight progressed Acheron began to notice Ragna's blows become faster and stronger. It appeared as though the source of Ragna's strength was his rage, as the fight prolonged it continued to provoke his rage, the rage fuelled Ragna with so much strength that he eventually started to overwhelm Acheron's defence, so much that the creature actually had to jump back so as to regain some distance away from Ragna. Acheron was filled with such excitement, he actually started to put a great deal of caution on how he would approach Ragna. it seemed that Ragna thrived in close ranged combat but lacked any long range abilities and considering that Acheron's abilities are basically all long rage, the vampire lord held a great advantage in a long ranged battle.

Acheron: "look to the sky and praise the heavens, for you my exciting friend are going to be blessed with the privilege of facing the river of sorrow!!!"

The big round shadow had formed beneath the vampire's feet and like before came out the green ascending rain but this time it began to affect Acheron's appearance, his fangs had sharpened, his fancy clothes had disappeared and had been replaced by a vicious armour and his ears had become long and pointy. He looked like a beast, one that in no way could be mistaken for a human, Ragna could feel an overwhelming strength coming from Acheron, he needed more power. Ragna reached into his pocket and pulled out the remaining two black seed's that Michael had given him and ate them both, doing this had completely swallowed Ragna's mind into darkness, he couldn't hear or see anything. Darkness, that was the only thing in Ragna's world but in Acheron's point of view Ragna was staring at him with golden eyes and a violent growling noise coming from him. By taking two seeds at the same time his mind and body had been detached, his mind was trapped in a world of darkness and silence whilst his body was in an animalistic state, his body was acting on raw instinct.

Like an unchained animal Ragna charged at the armoured Acheron but this time the vampire had also gone on the attack, one moment he would be in front of Ragna and be for he could react, the vampire would be behind him. One pointless attack after another would fail to hit Acheron, the vampires speed was impossible to keep up with and as if that wasn't enough, the ascending rain surrounding Acheron would turn into blades and either attack Ragna or block any of the attacks that reached Acheron. Acheron's ascending rain was beyond anything Ragna had faced, entering it would either lead to him being stabbed or drowned by the water that was forced into his mouth but despite this the enraged Ragna kept on charging after Acheron without fear.

Acheron: "my, my, my, you certainly don't give up do you? I don't mean to be rude but am afraid this game of ours has actually started to bore me, it would have been more fun if you could do something else besides charge straight on, I am afraid it's time to end this."

Acheron, using the ascending rain, levitated the enraged Ragna and threw him into the black ocean, he then sent his ascending rain to the black ocean giving him the ability to completely manipulate the oceans water. Ragna had been stabbed, strangled, whipped and smashed on the ocean's surface countless times, Acheron didn't stop this, not until all of Ragna's strength fled from his body, the raging animal had been put down.

Acheron: "amazing!!!! To think that the boy's attacks have actually left my arms trembling. I may not know your name but you my wild friend, I shall remember, if only you weren't so young and stupid, you might have made this fight a lot more entertaining."

Helios: "talking to yourself, looks like someone needs to be put out of their misery."

Acheron turned and saw prince Helios, standing next to him was Kazuya, Dante and kiva. Kill-shot was on the disc glider and Vanessa was in the road demon and Thomas in the hellboken, without the need to worry about collapsing caves, Thomas Noble could use the hellbokens canons, Acheron was surrounded.

Acheron: "well, well, well, it looks like the whole team of rejects are here."

Helios: "I have waited a long time for this, to finally kill the monster that cursed my brother!!!"

Acheron: "well I guess I can understand your hatred but what about the blond haired boy with the screamer blade?"

Helios: "blond hair?"

Kill-shot: "Ragna!!! what did you do to him!!!?"

Acheron: "I drowned him, he fought well but he wasn't very skilful but the boy has heart, well, had heart."

Kiva: "you... you'll pay for this!!!!"

Acheron: "oh, your new, I wonder why your…. Ah, you loved him, oh now that's just tragic, to think that the man of your dreams is at the bottom of the ocean, what could I possibly do? Well, if you really want to be with him I would be more than happy to send you to him, there's more than enough room in the black ocean, you'll certainly be..."

Before Acheron could finish his sentence, he began to hear a weak and gentle heart beat coming from the bottom of the black ocean, soon the heart beat began to beat faster and stronger with each second that passed. A ferocious and large flame ascended from the ocean and parted the waters, within the large flames was Ragna, his entire body was covered in flames and the shogun reaper had once again released its red screaming mist. Ragna's had regain control of his body allowing him to unleash a great and mighty power, no member of the hellboken crew had ever seen such power but when Helios saw Ragna in this form it had reminded him of his own father, king Titus. For the first time in his immortal life Acheron had felt fear, he could feel the raw power radiating from his body, not even prince Drago had showed him such power and yet he is considered to be one of strongest army slayers.

Acheron knew that he needed to stay clear from Ragna's attacks but something even more strange had begun to happen to Acheron, a powerful force began to keep Acheron still and incapable of moving, it was as if Ragna was controlling gravity, Acheron was helpless to defend himself. Ragna charged at Acheron with such force that it washed the black waters backwards, he grabbed his sword with all his might and slashed it down, cutting the vampire in half, the force unleashed from the strike was so powerful that it quaked the very ground Acheron was standing on, the blast from the strike forced Helios and the hellboken crew to flee for cover. When the giant shogun woke and saw this it dived back to the waters and fled, leaving the abducted children behind. When the dust had cleared Helios with Kill-shot approached the point of impact and found Acheron in half, one side was still alive but the other half was reduced to ash. It was by far the most powerful attack that Helios, Kill-shot or anyone else had ever seen, to think that Ragna could wield such power. Helios was more than ready to exact the final blow on Acheron, to think that Ragna would leave Acheron so weak, so vulnerable, vengeance was finally in his grasp.

Helios: "look at me you piece of filth; I want you to look at me, look into the eyes of the mortal prince who will end your worthless life, die you monster, die!!!"

Vanessa: "stop!!! if anyone is going to kill that monster it's going to be me!!!"

Helios: "I think not, this monster coursed my brother!!! Him and his master denied the legion a pure successor to the throne of Rovahn, only one of royal blood can claim his life."

Vanessa: "he killed my baby brother!!! You can go back home and hold your brother but mine is forever lost to me, I'll never nurse him when his sick, I'll never sculled him when he does something wrong, I'll never hug him and tell him I love him ever again!!! I have to kill him."

Thomas: "Vanessa you don't...."

Vanessa: "damn it Thomas!!! You wanted me to forgive Ragna, didn't you?"

Thomas: "yes, Vanessa but ...…"

Vanessa: "but nothing!!! His given me the chance to kill Acheron, please let me do this."

Kazuya: "prince Helios, the decision rests with you."

Dante: "listen, you don't know me but this vengeance wont..."

Helios: "no Dante, if she wants his head that bad then she can have it, all I want is to see this beast killed, whether it be by the hands of a prince or a rogue, it makes no difference to me."

Unknown: "no one is going to take that honour, that honour belongs to the legion!!!"

Kill-shot: "not to alarm everyone but you might want to put your hands up."

As Helios looked behind he couldn't believe his eyes, it was his older brother, Drago and with him was an army of 3000 legion warriors. Drago looked at his brother with great anger, he had searched for him for so long only to receive message of his location from a silver hunter scout, a clan the legion has had disputes with ever since the silver hunters had chosen not to aid the legion with the shogun hordes.

Helios: "my brother look, the vampire lord known as Acheron has been defeated, he...…"

Drago: "what happened to the shogun that was here for the cargo?"

Helios: "it fled back to the black ocean in fear, the sight of its master being cut in half frightened it."

Drago: "this is why I never wanted you to leave for your little hero's mission, do you have any idea what you have brought down on Rovahn? Do you know what will happen when that shogun tells Razeal what has happened here?"

Helios: "but brother we...…"

Drago: "enough!!!! You and your group of mercenaries are coming with me."

Kazuya: "my lord with all due respect but we would be of better use to Rovahn if we hunt down the remaining shogun hordes."

Drago: "prince Kazuya of the dragon creed, am afraid you are not understanding the situation at all, with Acheron defeated all the shoguns have gone in hiding, the people of Rovahn have been hunting them in the millions, apparently tales of the hellboken crew have filled their hearts with courage."

Kill-shot: "well we do good work, it's all thanks to...…"

Drago: "you dare speak to me you outcast!!!"

Kill-shot: "the people of Rovahn fighting for their freedom is a good thing, I will never be ashamed in knowing that a played a part in fighting the shoguns."

Drago: "there are only a hand full of people who can induct new warriors to the legion, is it true that you have been inducting mercenaries into the legion without the king's consent."

Kill-shot: "all I have done I have done for the greater good of..."

Drago: "enough!!!! Your treachery has done quite enough as it is, you and all your men shall be executed for your crimes, the strange man who built the train may be of some use to the legion but as for the rest of you, not an ounce of leniency will be shown to you, you will pay for your crimes."

Helios: "brother wait, the boy in the ground was the one who killed Acheron, he unleashed power that I have only seen in the hands of father, yes, by law he is a criminal but it was because of him why you see Acheron in such a state. I beg you brother, give them the chance to answer to father I beg of you, if you do this I will return home with you and I will not leave your side brother, I swear it."

Drago: "...… very well brother, they shall be given the chance to answer for their crimes so long as you keep your promise."

Helios: "thank you brother."

Kill-shot: "and who said sibling love was dead."

Vanessa: "and Acheron, what happens to him!!!"

Drago: "little girl, I will ignore the insult in your tone if you will but heed the gravity of mine. The vampires have stayed away from Rovahn because they believed that the shoguns would keep us in check, with Acheron defeated they will return to remind all of Rovahn who their master is. Acheron may well be the only source of information we may have on the vampires, we need him alive, we need him to talk. Now then, men pick up what you can and move out!!!! We shall make our way back to the royal palace, I pray this boy is as strong as you claim brother."

Helios: "why is that?"

Drago: "because as of today, the war between man and the vampire race has been resurrected, we may very well be looking at the destruction of Rovahn."

Drago's log: "for centuries now the legion has secretly been strengthening its forces so that we would be truly ready to fight the vampires, it is the sole reason why we have endured the horrors of the shoguns for so long. Now thanks to my brother's foolishness, the shoguns have fled and the surviving breeder is probably on its way back to Razeal, this foolish victory will undoubtedly spark a retaliation from the vampires. We don't seem to have a choice in the matter, we must gather all of our resources to prepare ourselves for the undoubtedly return of the vampires. We may not be ready for such a fight but fight we shall, every tribe, every soldier, every magi, every army slayer walking the sacred grounds of Rovahn must aid us in this, for what comes for us may very well be the destruction of our home land. Prince Drago of the phoenix's legion signing off."
