After the party, the Queen invited us to go to the King's office to talk about my surprised engagement party with the Crown Prince. But the moment we close the door, my father suddenly attacks the King. Frightened, the King quickly hides behind his desk.

"Rascal! You should die!"

"Radel, please listen to my explanation—"

"I don't want to listen to you!"

"But Radel, you know that I'm considering this engagement for our plan, right?"

"And I never gave you my consent to make my daughter to be part of that plan!"

"But—"

"Shut up! I'll resign on my position as the Prime Minister!"

"No! You can't resign without my permission!"

Can we survive the disaster that will fall in my family after this? I'm aware that my father is too angry when the King announced the engagement at the party earlier. My father can't object it even if he wanted to because of some reasons. First, he'll be accused of slandering the Royalty's reputation. "Mama?" I called my mother who is now calmly drinking her tea beside me. In front of us were the Queen who's drinking her tea as well.

"Yes, my dear?"

"Do we have enough money to live peacefully in a countryside?"

"Well, yes. Why do you ask?"

"Aly just wants to make sure that we can live peacefully since papa will be jobless sooner or later. Also, it looks like papa will be in prison after attacking the King." I said as I point my finger towards my father who is now throwing the cushion pillows at the King.

My mother as well as the Queen stares at me for a moment before they let out a laugh. I'm being serious though. When they noticed my confusion, my mother scoops me closer on her side and pats my hair.

"You don't have to worry about that, Aly. Everything is fine."

"That's right, Lady Alyssa. I can assure you that your family will be fine. It's embarrassing to say, but His Majesty will become helpless if your father decides to leave his position as the Prime Minister." The Queen said to me.

It seems like without my father's hardwork and intelligence, this Kingdom is bound to destruction. The Queen also reveals that her husband is just good at making strategies when it comes to war. The rest of the job will be finished by my father. No wonder my father was always tired after he came back home from the palace. I suddenly grew a lot more respect from my father.

"That's why as early as now, we're teaching our Lars to be efficient and well-balance so that he can be dependent and reliable when he becomes the next King." The Queen said then let out a sigh. "By the way, can I also call you Aly? Don't you think calling you 'Lady Alyssa' is too formal?"

"...If that's what the Queen wants."

After that, the Queen and my mother continue their chattering. As I sit quietly on the sofa, I saw my brother and the Crown Prince standing up and walk towards the door. I'm planning to follow them, but the Crown Prince looks in my direction and mouthed the words 'Stay here and be a good girl.' and leave the room. Since I don't have anything to do, I simply watch how my father torments the Kings until both of them were out of breath.

"Alright... I surrender..." The King said as he sits on the chair and lean his back on it. "I won't cancel their engagement."

My father was about to throw a teacup at the King, but he quickly stops my father by continuing his words.

"But, I will let Lady Alyssa decide to cancel it in the future."

"...What do you mean?" My father asked.

"If ever Lady Alyssa meets someone she truly love and wishes to marry that man in the future, then we'll cancel her engagement with my son. We'll do it peacefully so that Lady Alyssa nor my son's reputation will not be ruined."

"Are you telling the truth?"

"Of course. I'm the King of this kingdom, so you should believe in my words, Radel."

"Is that a promise?"

"Of course."

My father looks at the King suspiciously.

"But I'm really impressed with Lady Alyssa earlier. Radel always boasts to me that his children are too smart despite their age that's why I decided to test Lady Alyssa earlier. I never thought that she will give an elaborated detail about this kingdom's history that is written in the book."

"Of course. My children were smart. Cedric and Aly are mine and Ester's children." My father while nodding. But he stops and glare at the King. "But how dare you test my child in front of those people?"

"Why shouldn't I? Besides, I'm confident with your child's intelligence that's why I asked her that question. Now I really like to have a daughter like her."

My father stays silent for a while. Seems like he's thinking about something.

"No. I'm not contented with it." My father exclaimed and fetch a pen and paper. "We'll make a written agreement about the engagement. You should also sign it with your thumbmark and your blood on it."

"Hey—"

And they started quarreling again. I'll just pretend that their topic is not related to me. It's too embarrassing to see the two highest respected men of this kingdom are fighting like children. Can't they see that their children were acting more m.a.t.u.r.e than them?

"But the engagement of my Aly and the Crown Prince really surprised me back there." My mother said.

According to the Queen, the engagement between me and the Crown Prince will show the solid foundation between the Royal family and the Vivione household in the noble society. It's already a known fact that we have a good ties with the Royal family. But since there's a possibility that one of the Vivione will be a part of the Royal Family, it's like a silent announcement that the Vivione household will be at the same level as the Royal family.

Father stops writing to look at the King.

That piqued my interest. My father is too picky when it comes to me and my brother's safety. He really does a triple check in every person and guards in our house. I want to ask who is this someone, but since the King mentioned I'll meet him later, I didn't bother to ask them.

"Mama, can we go home now?" I said and show her a pout.

"That's right. You must be really tired right now. This is your first party, after all." My mother said as she lifts my small body and sit me on her l.a.p. I wrap my arms around her waist and snuggle my face on her neck.

"Aly is getting sleepy." I said. I'm not really sleepy, but I'm really tired. This body is too weak. I should do some exercise and gain more stamina. I think it's better for me to think how to gain more strength and how to store mana in this body. It's more interesting and useful to me than involving myself in this complicated world of the nobles.

"Okay. We'll go home first." My mother said. She told the Queen and the King that we'll go home first so I can relax and take a rest. The Queen told me that she'll send me another invitation so we can talk and get to know each other.
