The Reincarnated Archmage

It's been three years since I was reborn as Aly. I'm not aware that three years have already passed since I didn't have a spare time to think about it. I need to adopt and learn a lot of things so that I would avoid making trouble in the future. As the only daughter and the youngest child of this household, I was really pampered and cherished. Aside from my family, my nanny is also good at taking care of me.

My nanny was called Bella. She was a slender woman with a short brown hair. She wears an eyeglasses and have a pretty face. I'm guessing that she's at the age between 28 to 33. Whenever my parents got busy, nanny Bella is the one who is taking care of me. She always gives me a bath, feeds me, brush and style my hair, and helps me to go to sleep.

One day, while my nanny was finished styling my hair, she stand up and get a hand mirror. She gave it to me to show her creation. That is the first time I saw my physical appearance. Jet-black hair, crimson eyes, pale white skin and pinkish lips. Nevertheless, I can confidently say that I'm cute. I'm sure that I'll grow up into a beautiful lady after some few years.

But it's still very different from my family's appearance. Mother has a golden blonde hair and green eyes while father and brother have silver hair and blue eyes. They said the silver hair is the proof of Vivione bloodline. So this is what Cedric means when he said I have a different color of hair and eyes from them. So what happened to me? Am I really a child of this house or am I adopted? I'll ask this question when the time comes.

The Vivione Household.

The current head of household is Duke Radel Illon von Vivione. His wife is Duchess Ester Lairela von Vivione. The next head of this household is Cedric Sevian von Vivione, their eldest son. And their newest family member, the youngest daughter of Vivione Household, Alyssa Lerei Elise von Vivione.

This is the only family that has been blessed in a lot of ways. The Vivione household has established a good relationship with the royal family for a very long time. They also have a lot bussiness that was famous not only in this kingdom, but also to the neighboring kingdom as well. Not only that, Duke Radel holds the position as the Prime Minister of this kingdom.

For the first time, I learned these information thanks to my elder brother. I didn't expect that I was born in this lavish and famous household. I already know that my new house is financially stable, but I didn't know that we are really that rich. And I just assumed my name was simply 'Aly' since my whole family is calling me that. I didn't think that it's just a nickname. But I couldn't blame them if they want to use a nickname to call me. My name is quite long. I wonder who gave me that long name.

I also learned that three hundred years have passed since the Archmage of Light Magic disappear without any traces. Rumors said that she sacrificed herself to make this kingdom more peaceful. Learning this information, it's awkward to hear some details about my old self. I wanted to correct the rumors and tell them that Veronica Herol didn't disappear to make herself a sacrifice, but simply because she got tired and just want to die peacefully. But I stopped myself from doing it, realizing that it's a stupid idea. Just let these people think whatever they want.

Today, both of my parents need to attend a banquet. I heard it's a social gathering so as the Duke and Duchess of this household, their presence is needed in that party. Since both of their children are still young, they left us in our mansion and promised to be back before midnight. Cedric decided to study in my room today thinking that I'll get lonely. He placed me on the sofa and sit beside me. He also instructed the maids to prepare some snacks and get the dolls in my playroom in case I'll get hungry and bored. He is such a good kid to take good care of his younger sister.

After that, Cedric started to read a book on his l.a.p. He always has a serious look on his face whenever he studies. It's really admiring to see since it's rare to see a child getting interested in their studies. When Cedric notices my gaze, he smiles at me.

"Are you lonely, Aly?" He asked.

"No. I weally admiwe you bwothew. You always wead booksh." I asked. How I hate to speak in this way. I hope I grow up enough so I can speak properly again.

"Really? You really admire me?" My brother asked. His eyes are getting sparkly.

I nod energetically to answer his question. Then he moves closer to give me a hug. For the past two years, I already get used to their physical touches. I guess they're just naturally like this.

"Bwothew, wat aw you weading?" I asked. "Can I wead wid you?"

"Of course you can. I found this book at papa's library and it got me interested. It's about the history of Kingdom of Lapir." He said and scooped me closer so I can see the pages of the book. I frown when I see an unfamiliar word and letters. These are not the letters we used in my past life.

"You can't still read it yet, right? Don't worry, I'll just summarize for you the chapter of this page." My brother said when he saw my expression and I nodded my head.

"This book said that after the Archmage of Light disappears, rain started to fall to the whole kingdom of Lapir as if the sky is mourning. The rain lasted for a whole week. After that, four powerful magicians showed up to ask for their master. It is said that they are Archmage Veronica's apprentices. All of them are elemental magic users. But when they didn't get any information about their master, they left the kingdom again to search for their master."

So those children really came looking for me. I can't help but feel touched and guilty about it.

"According to the book, they seperate ways and made a lot of achievements. But because their master was still missing, they became unsatisfied. After twenty years, it is said that they disappeared. Some say they keep a very low profile while says they are still finding for their master."

Those children... I'm happy that they achieved a lot of success after I'm gone. But do they still have to look for me after that? They didn't think that I'll be happy enough if they'll just think of our memories together. They really don't need to see me again since they can now stand on their own feet. Ah, my head is hurting by just scolding them mentally.

"I'm sorry, Aly. You got bored, right? Don't worry. I'll stop it and just play with you." Cedric said as he looks at my face. I tried to protest, but he is not listening anymore. He gives the book he's reading to the maid and just decided to play with me.

When I saw my parents entering the door, I just call my father in surprised. Seeing me, my father gets excited and run towards me. He lifts me in the air and hug me.

"Why are you still awake? Did you wait for me?" He asked.

"Yesh." I awkwardly said. I can't tell them that I can't simply sleep and decided to leave my room and explore the mansion on my own. I'm not really scared to get hurt even I'm in this body since Lyle is always guarding me.

"But you should be sleeping now. A little girl like you should sleep early so you'll grow up soon." My mother said.

I know, my dearest mother. I used to tell that to my apprentices when they were still very young.

"Night Night Kissh!" I said while smiling. If there is one special thing that I've learned when I become a baby, it is to act cute and sweet in front of them. I usually do this to cover up my m.a.t.u.r.e actions and divert their attention to it.

"You can't sleep without your goodnight kiss? My daughter is really adorable!" Father said as he rubs his face on my face.

Father, you are really too weak for my charms, aren't you? I'm starting to get worried if he's also acting like this outside of this house. After that, my parents give me a kiss on my cheeks. Mother bring me to my room and tuck me in my bed. She offered to read me a storybook, but I decline. I know that she's also tired from the party so I pretended that I got sleepy and tell her goodnight. When she closes the door of my room, I sit down on my bed and calls Lyle.

"Yes?" Lyle answers as soon as I call his name.

'Nothing. I just simply want to call you.'

When I said that, Lyle smiled as if he really expect that response. It is always like this. I'll just call his name randomly without any reason at all. I was just testing if Lyle will get mad if I keep doing it, but he simply don't mind it.

'You're not mad at me?'

"Why would I?"

'Because I keep calling you without any reason.'

"I'm not mad. You always remember me even without a reason. With that, I'm happy."

Lyle is too easy to please. I wonder if he is like with with his previous contractors. Since I don't feel like answering him, I close my eyes and hug the fluffy bear doll I got as a present from my papa on my first birthday. I feel Lyle's fingers were stroking my hair, but I didn't mind since it's comfortable and making me sleepy. After a few minutes, I feel my drowsiness and fall into a dreamless sleep.
