The Resurrecting Overlord

As Dong Xian and Zhao Xian landed onto the ground of a cave, a cold chill filled inside Dong Xian. This sensation woke Dong Xian up from his unconscious state. He felt the ground he was lying on stealing his body heat. Zhao Xian, upon noticing that Dong Xian woke up, informed him, "This is Cold Yin Peak. From now on, you shall be a servant here! Serves you right for trying to act high and almighty earlier!" Dong Xian instinctively wanted to criticise him, but his teeth were chattering at this point. Spirit Stage cultivators are immune to the cold, but this chill still affected Dong Xian.

Zhao Xian noticed Dong Xian's lips turning blue and his fingers showing frostbite, so he threw him a pill. "This is the Sun Warmth Pill. It has Yang energy inside it. Eat it, you can't die before I make you suffer." He had planned to take Dong Xian as his direct disciple earlier, but after the incident at Qing market, he decided to let Dong Xian climb up the ranks on his own. Dong Xian took the Sun Warmth Pill and put it into his mouth. The cold chill caused by the Yin energy on Cold Yin Peak was immediately negated by the melting Sun Warmth Pill. Surprisingly, Dong Xian felt the negated energies spreading towards the rest of his body.

Before he knew it, his cultivation had skyrocketed from the initial phases of the Spirit Stage to the peak of the Spirit Stage. Zhao Xian drew in a breath. He had never seen this happen before. All his disciples were affected by the Yin energy, but the energy was usually just negated by the Sun Warmth Pill he created and dissipated in a few seconds. Zhao Xian flew further into the cave at an astonishing speed. Dong Xian was surprised at the sight of Zhao Xian flying. Even though cultivators at the middle stages of Body Stage could fly, he had not even reached that stage yet before he took in the Body Strengthener Potion and skyrocketed into the Spirit Stage. Dong Xian tried to follow the actions that Zhao Xian did. His feet started to leave the ground, and floated until Dong Xian reached half of the cave's height. He flew at a faster pace than Zhao Xian into the cave.

As Zhao Xian nearly reached near the end of the cave, he felt a violent wind push him forward. He stumbled onto the ground and rolled for a few moments before he hit a wall. The wind was so fast that it took him by surprise and did not have time to react. He sprung up straight and was alerted by the sounds of breaking jade. Then, he saw a sight that was extremely shocking to him. All his precious jade bottles, the medicine that laid inside them, they were all lying on the ground, shattered. Zhao Xian clutched his heart as Dong Xian smiled sheepishly. The violent wind he had produced had knocked over all the jade bottles.

Zhao Xian cried as he identified the medicine he had lost. Dragon Emperor Pill, Soul Formation Pill, 8 Nirvana Pill... He had to owe countless favours to famous alchemists like Herb Lord and Cauldron King to get all this pills. The pills were meant for him to increase to Formation Stage, but they had all been ruined. Dong Xian was glared at and killing intent surfaced from Zhao Xian. He wanted to paralyse Dong Xian with fear and teach him a good lesson. However, Zhao Xian's killing intent dissipated as soon as it touched Dong Xian. It was as if Dong Xian's body had repelled the killing intent. It could not be that... Zhao Xian's eyes widened. He had already started to have his suspicions about Dong Xian but could not bring himself to believe it.

He had heard of this ancient rumour when he was simply a Body Stage cultivator. The number 1 cultivator at the time, Zheng Han, had a unique type of Qi. It was called Heavenly Qi. It allowed the people who possessed this Qi to absorb Qi that had turned neutral and if strong enough, could absorb all types of energy. This Qi was unheard of in most people.
