The Search For The Reincarnated Queen

Everyone else, except for Rein, Willow, Ben, and Macky are in the castle, preparing and fixing the castle. Pen was tasked to lead the fixing, while Dane and Jace guide the other vampires and beast back to the Kingdom.

Now that the Queen has returned, the lives of these races will turn back normal, just like how exactly it was before.

Ben just noticed that Eli cannot see E anymore. She's not even talking to her even if they are left alone.

"I don't think she can still see me," E frowned while standing in front of Eli, while Taylan and the others are in the other room, busy talking about how to get the kingdom back on its feet after hundred of years.

"Eli, do you want to eat something?" Ben asked while holding a coupon of Eli's favorite restaurant. They have a 50% off for this week since it's their 7th anniversary.

But Eli's pale face didn't even react. If she was normally fine, she'll go crazy over this coupon.

"Eliiii~" Ben called while moving the coupon in front of her, but she shifted her eyes back to her crown that is placed in a glass box along with Taylan's crown.

She stood up and touched the glass.

Eli sighed inside, she did saw herself--- no, she saw E wearing this crown before she died. Then before she can even let her last breath go, she saw a shaman and asked him to make everyone forget about her.

E was really angry at Taylan and everyone else. She felt betrayed and helpless. Her body reacted against her again, she clenched her fist and wanted to smash the glass and break the crown. But Vanford made her feel relaxed after telling her that she'll get her revenge some time.

But Eli noticed before that E doesn't even hold grudges against Taylan, maybe it's because she forgot how she died, or maybe because she didn't really want to avenge herself and Tram.

She saw E earlier, standing in front of her, and it seems like Ben can also see and talk to her. They seem close. But of course, her stiff and cold body can't do anything but have a straight face and a sudden burst of anger.

"Do you think she's under some spell?" Ben asked E while folding the coupon and put it in his pocket.

Eli wanted to cry out loud, she wants to have the restaurant's classic menu! It has a 50% off which is rare, and they only give that promo for the earliest people in the restaurant.

"Maybe..." E folded her arms while Tram watches the leaves outside fall down, "She's not herself, first of all, and she looks dead to me, to be honest. I don't see why only you and Macky can see it."

"Well, I know you and Eli, I can see if one of you are not fine with just a single sigh. While Macky knows you, Eliora Solaire."

E nodded and went to Tram and brushes his blond hair with her hand.

"You know, Macky hasn't changed a bit. I mean, I knew that he was cursed, but I was expecting that at least he looked different, but no."

Ben furrowed his brows as he watches Eli still keep on staring at the glass box which is turning to be creepy as time passes by.

"What do you mean cursed?"

E turned to Ben with a surprise, "I forgot, regular humans aren't allowed to know about that information," she said, "Before humans, vampires and beasts even got to live under a single kingdom, shamans cursed a few families of vampires and beast. Macky and Pen's family were one of those."

Ben went to check Eli but still, her face is blank but her stares are so sharp while looking at the crowns, "And what is that curse?" He asked while waving his hand in front of her, but she acts as if she doesn't seem to see it.

"They don't grow as any normal beast or vampire does. They grow slower, as much as half of the regular growth. And of course, it's a burden. Everyone they knew will die before them. The shamans said that it is to make them feel what humans feel about death and life."

Ben snorted, "Human's feel? Is that shaman just jealous of the beasts and vampires' long lives? Their curses don't have a good reason behind if that is all they wanted the vampires and beast to feel."

Tram yawned and leaned on E's shoulder, "Mommy, will Eli and Daddy get married again?" He asks with his sweet and yawning voice as he watches the clouds in the sky move slow.

Ben and E looked at each other. Of course, Eli and Taylan don't have to get married again, but the situation of Eli is not good. And the last time she and E talked, she didn't want to do anything with Taylan.

"Maybe, I don't know what your Daddy wants to do."

Tram moved and hugged E, "Didn't you tell me that once Eli and Daddy see each other again, we'll disappear and I'll be born at last?"

E froze, she almost forgot about that. They're supposed to be gone by now if Eli did remember everything else since she and Eli are basically a single person. E will be one with her reincarnated self again.

"Why is that, Ben? I should be gone now." She asked with a slight terror in her face that something is really wrong with Eli.

"I'll ask Velo and Oberon about that," Ben said and took a quick glance over Eli who's now staring outside while still standing next to the glass box as if she's trying to listen to their conversation.

Now that Eli heard about it, she also wondered why E is still here. Maybe it's because it was not Taylan who found her first? Or maybe because she's being controlled?

"Oh, and can you ask Macky to check Eli's condition? Maybe he can get something." E added before Ben decided to go out and call the shamans.

"I was thinking of telling him about you too if it's alright for you."

E smiled, if Macky can help them find out what is happening with Eli, she'll be glad to have him on their team and know about her.

Ben nodded and went outside, he passed by the room where Taylan and the others are talking and heard them talking about the people in the mansion in the Magnolia Province while waiting for Macky's report.
