The Supreme Bloodline

Chapter 3 - Falsity

Flowercity, one of the largest cities in the world. Several buildings could be seen shining on the horizon. Its busy streets, full of cars and people. However, at no time was there any congestion or quarrel.

With the rise of Ki around the world, many companies have asked their scientists to find out more about Ki in order to create better technologies.

Over the years technology has grown at the speed of a meteor. Because of this, the world today has changed.

Vehicles such as flying cars have become possible after some time. If 21st-century humanity were here, they would weep with happiness. Finally the ideas of the film - Back to the future - have come true. Of course without time travel.

Two days after the fall of Chao Kun, in the afternoon...

In a penthouse suite in the city's largest building, three people were congregating.

There were a couple and a young woman sitting facing each other. The middle-aged man was handsome and had an aura of maturity around him that added charm to him. His face had a small relaxed smile as if there were no problems he could not solve.

The woman was a great beauty, her skin was pearly white, and the features on her face seemed to be hand-painted. Her beautiful wavy black hair enhanced the beauty of her emerald-green eyes. Although she was about thirty, she looked twenty years old.

The young woman sitting opposite them was identical to the woman, only that she did not exude the aura of a m.a.t.u.r.e woman, but that of a pure and immaculate flower. Though her face was full of tears, there was no doubt that she would also be a breathtaking beauty when she grew older.

This was Chao Kun's adoptive family.

Chu Bing had been like this since the day before when they discovered that Chao Kun fell into the abyss.

Yesterday she was called into the college principal's room. When she arrived in the room she saw her parents standing in front of Gabriel, who was with some bruises, questioning something. Gabriel's director and master were also there, but they did not dare even look at the couple much less interrupt their interrogation.

When they reported the news of Chao Kun having fallen into the abyss she felt her legs lose their strength and her vision darkened. She fainted.

When he woke it was already afternoon of the same day. Her parents, Chu Zhi and Jessica, were at her bedside.

They told him, in detail, everything Gabriel described to them.

According to Gabriel, they went together in the forest to hunt down low-level mortal beasts and some other resources available there. On the way, they separated to cover up more areas and find more resources.

However, after a while, Gabriel heard Chao Kun's distress call and ran in the direction of the scream. Following his trail, Gabriel analyzed that a middle-level beast was chasing Chao Kun.

As time passed he noticed that they were deepening in the forest, and Gabriel began to worry since the abyss of the whispers was in the direction in which he was following.

But what he was worried about soon happened. The beast cornered Chao Kun in the abyss.

The abyss was not very visible yet. The vegetation was in every corner, making Gabriel's visibility difficult, so he can not see in too much detail what happened. He could see a little better of the places where the beast passed since with his strength she could destroy the trees around easily.

As he approached, Gabriel began to shout and threaten the beast so that his attention would change for him, but it was too late. Chao Kun had not noticed that he was on the edge of the abyss and with the intention of deflecting an attack he took a step backward, falling into the abyss.

As its original target fell into the abyss, the beast shifted its target to Gabriel.

After a brief fight with the beast, he killed it. But Chao Kun could not be seen anywhere.

With no choice, Gabriel decided to go back to college and tell his master what had happened.

After telling the whole story, a mocking smile appeared on Chu Zhi's face as he thought, "Hmpf, who does this kid want to fool? Lucky for him that his deed helped me with some problems, now we can only wait and see."

After telling Chu Bing not to worry and everything would be all right, the couple left the room so that their daughter had time to digest the information.

Before leaving, her mother reminded her, "Do not forget that your master asked you to meet her tomorrow. She seems to have something to tell you."

Given the message she turned and left.

Chu Bing seemed not to have heard, she continued to cry in her room until midnight. Because of the extreme exhaustion of body and mind, she could not stand it and fell asleep, but even in her dreams, she would not stop crying.

*********

The next morning, the rays of light passed through the bedroom window, causing a small rainbow to reflect on Chu Bing's face.

It would be a beautiful scene if it were not for the lamentable state of the girl. Soon his swollen eyes opened. A trace of confusion could be seen, but soon the sadness appeared and tears began to flow again.

"I can't cry! I can't! My parents told me not to worry, and Chao Kun is fine, so don't worry." Soon she calmed down and went to take a shower.

After the shower, she dressed in black clothes. Although she always believed in what her parents told her, this time she could not quite believe it. After all, no one ever came back after falling into the abyss.

Soon she left her house and went to college.

The University of Cultivation of Abyss Flower is among the top 10 of the world's best farming education institutions. With a foundation of ten thousand years, its heritage is strong and full of varied techniques of cultivation and martial arts.

As the full name is too large, people use the smaller one that is University of Abyss Flower.

The University itself occupied half of the city. Since many students lived there, they prepared several necessary resources. There were several clothing stores, markets, restaurants and leisure areas in the vicinity. In the center was where were the numerous rooms and training camps where students could cultivate their techniques.

Chu Bing was inside a limousine heading north where her master's quarters were.

As the limousine passed through college areas, Chu Bing stared out the window. Several times she found herself immersed in memories, sometimes smiling, sometimes she felt angry and sometimes shy.

It was not known how much time had passed, a voice came from his side: "Miss, we arrived at the entrance of the masters' quarters. From now on I can't accompany you." A lot of time had already passed when the driver arrived at the place. He opened the door for Chu Bing, but she seemed to be with her head in the clouds.

Back to reality, Chu Bing became sad again: "Thank you, Uncle Zong. When I'm leaving, I'll call you to pick me up."

"Yes, Miss. Then I'm leaving." He started the car and left.

Chu Bing turned and entered the area of the masters' quarters.

Out of respect for the masters, no vehicle could enter there. Because of this rule, the place was always calm and serene.

On the way, the memories came back into his mind.

As a world-class beauty, Chu Bing looked like a goddess. Her black dress highlighted the glow of her skin, and with her watering eyes gave the impression of a goddess who was saddened by the perversity of the world.

The men passing by were dazzled by their beauty, some stumbled on their own feet. The women felt inferior and ashamed.

However, none of this entered his eyes. She just continued to live in her own world, dreaming of moments that may never happen again.

After passing through dozens of houses Chu Bing was almost at her master's house when a man stopped in front of her.

Waking to reality, Chu Bing looked at him and soon knew who he was.

"Good morning Gabriel, why did you stop on my way? What do you want?" She always felt uncomfortable around him. He spoke politely in front of her, but he could not hide the d.e.s.i.r.es on his face. Only an idiot like Chao Kun would not understand the meaning of that look.

Gabriel came up with a smile "I just wanted to know if you're okay. I know how close you were to Chao Kun, and I understand your pain a bit, after all, he was my best friend." His face looked sad when he said about his best friend.
