The System Of Somatosensation

I practiced earlier if the items will be able to expel what I brought earlier. It didn't work at first but I felt that the rabbit carcass moved a bit. I only need good control. Although I always failed, I keep on practicing it. After around 30 minutes of trying, I managed to expel the rabbit's carcass without entering to the Shadow World. Then, an announcement occurred in my system and a panel appeared.

It evolved? This is the first time I heard about this, so skills will evolve? Once I get to reach a certain proficiency or do something unique on it, it will change? I checked the skill but I can't check it if it is not yet renamed. With that stuck, I decided to agree on it and named it Shadow Shift. After naming it, the system once again appeared.

I immediately checked the new skill I got without hesitation.

Mana Cost: 10

Description: Evolved version of Shadow Leap after using it as a temporary storage. Can enter that shadow at will and store items in your own shadow like on your storage. The higher the level, the bigger space your shadow can contain. Can take out the items from the shadow if the host needs it.

With my newfound discovery for the [Shadow Leap], now turned into [Shadow Shift], I decided to fully use this function. I returned to the area where the battle of the monsters occurred and drag the sacks containing the carcasses. These are the most easiest to bring. Dragging them to the ground, I arrived into the clearing once more.

I repeated this again and again until a few moments later, all of the sacks filled with small monster carcass are inside. The only thing left to gather are the bigger once. I need more time to bring them all.

I brought the sacks one by one into my shadow. The sooner I finished my job, the better. It didn't take long before I managed to fit all of them. After that, I returned to the area where the bigger monsters are located. My shadow still contained space so I dragged the bodies of the monsters one by one. It took me a long time dragging one. Its so heavy and with my 7 year old body, dragging out this monster is just pretty hard to do.

Still, I persevered for the money. If not for the fact that my family is in need of money, I won't be in this job right now. It took me 2 hours before I managed to drag all of the carcass. Before I know it, the sun is already up in the sky. I rested a bit before I drag the bodies into the shadow world. It didn't take long before the shadow world is full of carcass. Whatever I do, I can't push anything inside anymore and even me can't get inside anymore. Therefore, this would be the limit of my shadow.

With all said and done, I scamper out of the forest to return back home before mom finds out I was out at night. I will be screwed enough if she knows.

A few minutes later, I arrived at home. Mother is still sleeping, which made me sighed in relief. I took off my shirt, burned it and buried it outside. I also washed the daggers one by one and returned them to the kitchen. I returned to my room, waiting for the time my mother wakes up.

While waiting, I decided to check my status. I managed to gain different skill but I know that I have a limit of ten skills. If I want to increase my skills, I need to be 10 years old for the system to get me a new skill.

My eyes squinted into the skills I got especially the Dagger Mastery. Since its not a skill that I can use by casting a skill, then how come its in the actives and not the passives?

Eh, so the system can answer my questions too? Is this Siri? No I think not. This is more convenient than Siri.

"Does the Actives and Passives skills follows the rule of the 10 skill limit?" I tried asking the system.

I see. So I don't have to fear on losing skill slots once I learn a few passives. Its quite convenient for me to earn passives as they are automatically in effect without my bidding. Also, I noticed that most of the skills I learned from Passives are from my actions that I performed. For example, I learned the passive skill [Stealth] due to the action that I made when I am sneaking to go out of the house. In other words, Passives are more like random and will appear in certain requirements.

After pondering for a bit, I lay in the bed a bit. I managed to rest for an hour but I can't sleep. The reeking smell of monster blood is so strong I have to take a bath, however, I need to do it while mother is awake. It would be too weird that I go take a bath while she is still sleeping.

I waited for a bit and after a while, I heard a few sounds in the kitchen. I am already aware of mother's habits so I know that it is her. I walk outside my room and saw mother currently washing vegetables on the sink.

"Morning mom," I greeted her while walking to the bathroom.

"Oh, Tetsuo, good morning, you are early today!" Mother exclaimed as she didn't expect me to wake up early.

"Nah, I can't sleep much and its a bit hot so I decided to wake up earlier than usual," I said to her.

"Wow, that is not a kid-like response out there," Mother said and chuckles.

"I..." I almost broke to sweat. Mother is still not aware of my circ.u.mstances except for Sister Yukii who discovered my origin. I still can't say it to her that I am already older than what my body is actually showing.

"Anyway, you need to hurry, breakfast will be ready," Mom, said and continue what she was doing.

I sighed in relief and go to the bathroom and scrubbed my whole body to erase the stench of the blood that was stuck in my skin. It took me three washes before the stench to fully disappear from my body. When I smell my body again, I smiled and nodded, I am now fresh again!

After taking a bath, I saw that mom is still cooking so I decided to help her. It didn't take long for the stew to finish. We took breakfast together and chatted for miscellaneous things here and there.

The debt is still on going but mother said that she will find a way to pay the debt. I nodded at her although my mind is already focused on my shadow. I can still feel the items within it. If I successfully sell all of it, I might be able to earn a big amount of money and pay that debt that we inherited.

Mother goes to work early. She needs to finish her job so that she can earn more money.

After an hour that mother was away, I decided to go out and go to the shop I sold my game last time. According to the big guy, I can go directly to the slaughterhouse if I want to sell big amount of monsters.

The slaughterhouse is empty but there was a sign hanging on the wall.

"If you want to sell, just put your gains on the floor and wait for me, I am out for a minute."

Looks like that guy is currently out at the moment. Well, that is a chance for me to take! Before the guy returns, I took all of the carcass and lay them into the floor. Seeing all the carcass I gathered, the space earlier without any monster carcass is filled with it and looks cramp of space. I wonder how much money would I make once I sold these carcasses?

I waited for a few minutes before the guy named Bob arrived. When he entered the slaughterhouse, eh was surprised when he saw me.

"Eh? You are early today kid. Are you selling things right now?" Bob asked.

"Yeah, I want to sell all of these," I said and pointed on the pile of monster carcass that is currently in the floor.

"You want to sell ALL of these?!" his eyes almost bulge out in disbelief. He was baffled and he almost suffered a seizure just by looking at the pile.

"Boy, did you just empty the forest?"
