The System Of Somatosensation

"W-what?! Are you insane? You are my little brother! How can you be so indecent?!" Sister Yukii quickly covered her body with her arms.

"Idiot, who said I want to touch your whole body?! I just want to touch your hand so that I can copy one of your ability!" I quickly defended. I just realized how indecent my sentence earlier to her.

"Ah? Ah, idiot brother, you should have said earlier," sister Yukii said and put her hand on my hands.

"But why do you need to touch me to copy my skill? You can just look at me, according to father, he can just copy skills by looking at a person," Yukii was quite observant indeed that she quickly asked why I need to touch her.

"Well, my power is different, I need to touch someone or something to learn about them and copy the existing skills that they have. It seems like it was called the Somatosensation System," I explained.

"I see, these systems are quite complicated indeed. Much more complicated than father, and you said you can copy abilities on things?"

I sighed and s.u.c.k.e.d a mouthful of air before I blurted out my reason.

"I want to hunt monsters," I plainly said.

Yukii went silent from what I just revealed before she taps my shoulder.

"Little brother, I know that you are desperate to help our family but hunting monsters are dangerous and you are still a kid in this world. We can't bear to have you get injured. We can handle this problem," Yukii patted me before she left and return to her room.

I extracted the [Frigid Ice] from her skills. I don't need to have another offensive skill like the fireball. I need defense since I am lacking in equipment more. And despite my sister saying that I can't do the hunt, I can still go hunting secretly. At least I can earn money. My plan is needed if I also want to get stronger.

The next day, sister Yukii returned to her academy to resume her classes while mother goes to the farm to tend the crops. I tend the garden a bit before I pull out the Swash Dagger and another one of the dagger that I took secretly last night. Compared to the Swash Dagger, the new dagger I took has a higher durability but low damage output than the Swash dagger. Although I don't know how large my mana capacity has on my body, I can't just keep on relying on my magic. I still needed to completely comprehend my body.

I have been wanting to check my stats but due to the forced activation, that function is not available and would only be available till I reach 10 years old. Although its disappointing, I can still see the stats of others if I touched them. I can just do this.

I took the cloak out on my wardrobe. It was a cloak that father left behind for me. Although it was a bit big, it is enough for me to cover my identity. People around the capital always have people cloaked so wearing this cloak is not some weird fashion sense.

I hid the two dagger on my waist and cover my whole body with the black cloak. Its a bit big but it doesn't look bad. I look at my figure into the mirror. Still, I can't get used to my new look. My hair is black as the night and it was quite silky to the touch. My body built is a bit on a petite side but I can say that I am not that thin either that I can be called as a walking stick. My height is similar to the other kids around my age but my expression betrays my real age. Children around my age are still kids with snot on their noses. I can take care of my looks even though I was a kid. My eyes are not that squinty but a bit on a bigger side with a greenish pupil that my sister said to be the color of the pupil that my father have. All in all, I can be called a handsome little kid, although I don't really see it.

I moved quickly away from the house and sprinted towards the road towards the forest.

The road towards the forest is not as crowded as the center capital since monsters resides here. Still, this place has lax security despite monsters living here in which I don't really understand either.

I entered the forest and for the first time in my two lives, I saw a great expanse of greenery that are untouched by human hands. The mother nature holds this forest still.

Hunters around the capital usually hunt for boar here but I wanted to earn bigger money to earn the money that the lanky man said to be the debt that my father owned from him.

Just when I was about to go deeper to the forest, one of the monsters I was hunting attacked me.

Eeek! Eek! Eek!

A big bodied monster jump to me and when I managed to got hold on this guy, I quickly saw what it was after the panel appeared.

"Howling Man -Eater Monkey"

2.Sharp Claw Level 10 : claws rapidly sharpens and can tear human flesh in seconds. Quite dangerous during close combat.

3. Swift Hands Level 5: Can steal items hidden by the target. The higher the level, the higher chance of success.

I struggled a bit on this monkey, its quite strong with its grip on my hair. I struggled a bit before I managed to slam the monkey down into the ground. When the monkey landed into the ground, it quickly scampers to a nearby tree. I extracted the first skill it has on its skill powers.

"Extract [Sonic Shout]," I mumbled in which the system immediately responded.

"[Sonic Shout] extracted."

I unsheathed the two daggers and brandish the two before readying myself from the attack of the Howling Man- eater monkey. Based on its name, it was going to try and eat me as it saw me as food. I grinned and taunt it.

"Come here sucker," I grinned smugly. I know it can understand me since its intelligence stat was high.

And as expected, this monster got agitated and thump its c.h.e.s.t.

Ooh! Ooh! Eek!

It then stretch its arms and I can see that its claws grow sharper. It was about to use its second skill Sharp Claw.

Eek!

The monkey monster leap from the branch and lunges towards me. I grinned as it just made itself exposed.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!"

I shouted from the top of my lungs while the skill that I extracted, [Sonic Shout] is activated.

Eek?!

The monkey was startled and stopped midway before it fell to the ground. I can see its ears bleeding. The skill was quite effective! Before it can recover, I swiftly swing my dagger down into the defenseless monkey repeatedly.

Stab! Stab! Stab!

I did not feel any remorse killing a monster. Its either me or that monkey dies. But in the end, the monkey was dead. I huffed and puffed myself. Its quite exhausting just by stabbing its heart repeatedly.

I was about to pick the carcass when I heard a mechanical sound of ding.

Ding!

"Host leveled up from level 0 to level 1! Level system unlocked! Congratulations!"

I huffed myself as I was happy that I leveled into level 1. So to level up, you need to kill monsters. That way, you will become strong. Ha, I need to get more carcass to sell for money. With this discovery, I made my way deeper into the forest while dragging the carcass of a Howling Man-Eater Monkey.
