Chapter 32 - -31: Who killed her?

Paul made her wear expensive clothes. After one year she was going out of the mansion. Jack was going to come back after 6months.

So, now she was sitting with Paul, in a car not looking outside the window. Just casting her eyes down, she was staring at her fingers. She was so scared of him, that if she stares outside, she was afraid he will hit her.

They reached the restaurant which was owned by them only. Both of them didn't get out. Rishika got tensed, she thought he is going to **** her again in a car. She can't even refuse him, like every time.

Paul looked at her and smirked, he took out the money from his wallet. And gave it to her. It was a very less amount. He asked her, "go & have food there. I won't mind today. It's your birthday. But yeah choose wisely, you can choose one thing only from this amount. "

Rishika looked at the money but didn't get out. She is not confident anymore, who can purchase anything. She looked at him, begging him to come outside with her. Paul has made her dependent on him. But one glare from Paul, she quickly went out.

She went into the restaurant but feel unwanted there. She tried to grab the attention of a waiter, but they ignored her. They looked at her with so much disgust that made her self conscious about her dress and her looks. She doesn't feel pretty anymore unlike other times.

She somehow managed to get food by begging a waiter. When she was about to sit in the restaurant, the manager comes and asked her to leave from there. Other customers are not liking her ominous presence. What she doesn't know that they all are obeying Paul's order.

She quickly grabbed the food and went outside. She knows she has 10 minutes to devour the food before that driver comes and takes her back to the mansion. For two weeks she has not eaten anything.

She was about to devour the food, when she looked beside her and saw, two dark-skinned children and a man staring at her.

The man came close to her, but she scooted away, "please, don't be scared. I and my children meant no harm to you. "

Rishika looked at him and nodded. The man continued, " Ma'am you look rich. Please, if you don't mind can you give me the food packet which you have in your hands. My children have not eaten from 3days."

Rishika shook her head negatively, she doesn't want to share her food, thinking God knows next time when she will get. Man sighed.

She was about to have the bite, then with a very heavy heart she gave the food to those, she doesn't want to but eventually did. When they were eating the food, she was looking at them, how much they are enjoying the food. She was staring at them and l.i.c.k.i.n.g her lips again and again.

At one point she was about to snatch the packet from their hands but couldn't. Tears welled up in her eyes. She very badly wants to eat.

The man thanked her for her generosity and told her that he is a nurse, but due to wrong allegations on him. He has lost his job. And the house too. He can come clean but doesn't have the money to pay for the lawyer. Rishika was listening to all of this patiently. She doesn't want to but he is the only man who has not mistreated her. So she took off her earnings, "they are very expensive. Hope this can help you."

The man showed her gratitude and left from there.

The smell coming from the restaurant was killing her. Soon she noticed the waiter coming out of the restaurant and throwing trash in the bin.

Reluctantly she went towards the bin, and start searching for something to eat. Food is the only thing that calms her. But now, that thing has become an enemy.

She closed her eyes and found nothing there. But soon found a plate of leftover Pasta, but there is no pasta only the white sauce of it. She felt relieved and was about to lick that plate when she noticed how the whole restaurant was looking at her through the glass. Without caring about the stares, she licked the plate like a hungry dog. No one came to help her, they all were looking at her like she is some kind of animal in a zoo, who is there to entertain them. They all looked at her like she was wearing an 'Abuse me, I deserved it' sticker on her head.

Soon the driver came and picked her up. She felt pain in her stomach. She was scared to talk to the driver. But hunger is clearly killing her. She said, " do you have money. Please lend me. I'm very hungry. I'll pay you when we reach home."

The driver denied stating, "Ma'am, please. I can not help you. Paul sir has strictly ordered me not to give you anything."

" Please, don't tell him, that I was asking for the money. He will punish me. "

She forgets about her hunger and was scared of what if Paul came to know about her asking for money. The driver felt sympathy for her and assured her that he won't tell.

Her pain increased soon. She was withering in pain. Her lungs constricted. She was losing consciousness. She felt something flashing before her eyes, what is this? Is my life flashing before my eyes? Am I dying? No, I have not met my bhai... Yet.'

Rishika can see her life flashing before her eyes. She was just seeing how Lil Rishi and herself celebrating his birthday. She was smiling looking at the scene, 'how Rishi was wiping cake from her face. And how they both were laughing and enjoy his birthday.'

For Rishika it was like everything was going in front of her, with her trembling hands she tries to touch Lil Rishi's happy face. But soon her arm went limp, and she lost her consciousness whispering, "Bhai".

She opened her eyes and saw she was back in her room after one year. Soon noticed, Paul, holding her hand. She looked at him and mouthed," I'm so sorry." She doesn't want to utter those words, because he did not like her voice. She became mute for him. She hardly speaks now. She deep down loved this man so much that she blamed herself for him being cruel, for creating a monster. Her Paul was not at all like that.

Rishika was sitting on the bed when she noticed Paul entering with the tray. He smirked looking at her, "last night, you fainted, so I was not able to give you the present. But now you are awake, let's see."

Avantika and Rishi's fiance getting along and how they are coming out of the restaurant and going shopping.

She went near the tv and trace Rishi's face with her fingers. She looked at Paul and immediately went towards the bas.e.m.e.nt.

Paul hurriedly went behind her and saw her looking at the phone. Rishika came near him, "Paul, you said only he can call me. I think this phone is not working. There is no call or message from him for me. "

Paul's heart clenched listening to her words. She continued, "Paul, he must have called me. Or maybe forget my number. He loves me. I know. He won't do this to me. I need to go there and attend all the functions. I'm his sister. He must have called me. He loved me. He himself told me. Something is wrong with this phone. "

Paul looked at her blabbering. He wants to comfort her, but he needs to break her bubble. He simply said, "Rishika, he never contacted you."

Rishika looked at him with a frown,

" you are lying. I know him. He loves me very much. He is just mad at me. He is not heartless, he will never do this to me. "

Paul was looking at her with concern but thought this is what he always wanted, to see her like this. Helpless. But then he heard, "I'll say sorry to him. I'll say sorry to everyone. I'll say sorry for lying to all of them"

Paul looked at her with clenched jaw & asks her," what did you lie about?"

Rishika looked at him, "huh! I lied about everything. I'll tell them that no one r.a.p.ed me. It was all my imagination. That's why he is so mad at me. I blamed Anil uncle for something which he never did. "

With tears in her eyes she kept on repeating," he never did anything to me. It was all my fault. No one touched me. I just want their attention."

Listening to this Paul became angry thinking how low she can go to get the attention of his brother that she blamed an innocent man for such heinous crime.

But what no one is realizing that Rishika really believes that she was never r.a.p.ed by that monster. She accepted the truth which all of them fed her through taunts. She was so much sure about their version of the truth, that her own truth vanished somewhere in her.

Paul grabbed her hand and brought her into the room and made her looked into the Tv. He holds her shoulders angrily and said, "Look at them, how happy they are. They don't need you there to ruin their happiness. Just look at them, do you really think that they are missing you. Look at them, your absence doesn't bother them, that means your presence never mattered to them in the first place. They are perfect and you are trash."

His words hit her very hard and she became still. She took her phone and threw it on the floor and yelled, " How dare you, Rishi Mehra? How can you be so happy without me? I'm your f.u.c.k.i.n.g sister. I will kill you all." she yelled the last part?

After a few seconds, she picked her phone gently and whispered, "I'm sorry Bhai. I didn't mean to hurt you. " she was trying to fix the phone helplessly like she has thrown Rishi instead of the phone. She looked at the phone and went towards Paul forwarding her hands.

Paul understood that she wants him to fix the phone. He rolled his eyes and took the phone from her hand. He was fixing the phone when he heard her, "you are right. They are perfect. You all are perfect. Only I'm the trash one here. Everyone is perfect. Avantika is perfect. Bhai is perfect. You are perfect. Shreya is perfect. " saying this she slowly went towards the bed and lie down in fetus position and in the end, she said, " Anil Uncle is perfect. I'm the only one who is trash here. " with this she went into the deep slumber.

Paul knew he has broken the Rishika, but there is one part of her who is not breaking at all. It's the perfect time to break that part and then she will be his to modify her in his version.

Rishika wakes up with a headache. She looked around and found Paul smirking. He threw the newspaper on her face. She read the newspaper and found that a guy named Rishan was beaten brutally. She looked at Paul, and kneel down on her knees beside him and said, " Paul, please don't hurt him. He is very innocent. He is so innocent that living with me for two years, he couldn't recognize my hidden ugly face, which you all did. He doesn't know my truth. He considered me innocent. I fed him lies and he believed me. Please just let him go"

Paul looked at her and asked, "What will I get in return?"

Rishika looked at him and wiped her tears, "anything. You say, and I'll do it. You all are right, I deserve punishment. I'm ready to accept it. Please don't hurt him."

Paul put her hair behind her and asked her to prove it.

She didn't know how to prove him, so she did what no one can imagine. She immediately stands up and brought his belt from wardrobe. She took the belt and tied around her neck.

Paul froze looking at her like this, he gulped hard and was about to stop her. But the next thing made him stumbled.

"You always say, I'm a bitch. Then I'll behave like a bitch. "

Soon he saw her crawling towards him like a dog and heard her bark.

"Woof.....woofff...woofff."

Before he can stop her, she did something, which he will never ask her to do, which he will never allow himself to hurt her pretty badly.

Paul closed his eyes painfully. He has broken the last part of Rishika also.

Rishika was so desperate to have a good image in Rishan eyes, that she let all of them broke her. She can not see hatred in Rishan eyes, so she decided to become loyal like a dog, just to save that impression in Rishan eyes.

Whereas Paul got what he always wants.

Paul won.

Rishi won.

Sanjay & Kashaf won.

Avantika won.

Anil ( her monster) won.

Charles ( Paul's father) won.

Everyone won.

Only she lost it.

They all won and broke her beyond repair.

Who killed her?

They all, without even doing anything, made her kill herself.
