Trials Of Love: The Romantic Goddess

'He's not himself right now… it's as if he has totally lost himself to his bloodthirst… He can't control himself at all… I need to-' As this line of thought went through Scarlet's head, she reflexively raised her hand as she hit the back of his neck. She did it with such a mastery that it was as if she had done this action thousands of times before… as if this was something entirely normal to her.

And obviously, being abruptly hit by her, Kay instantly lost consciousness as he lay there unmoving, totally asleep.

However, at this moment, after she made a move on him and made him pass out, she pondered confusedly, 'Eh, why am I feeling so weak right now…' The moment this notion went through her head, she blinked her eyes one time and the next moment… the light in her eyes had already changed.

'Eh… what happened just now? I was walking toward that wounded man and then… and then…' Touching her forehead with one hand, Mina thought in doubt before murmuring, "I don't remember the rest?!"

Nevertheless, spotting the unconscious man in front of her, Mina knew this was not the time to be thinking about this stuff and that saving his life was actually the priority. So, taking her cellphone out of her bag, she dialed 911.

Beep~ Beep~

"Hello, what's your emergency?" Came a voice from the other side of the line.

"Hello? Please send an ambulance to XXX, XX, the alley beside XXXX avenue… please be fast… I'm just a passerby and I found someone unconscious here…" Filled with worry, Mina uttered.

"The help is on the way, miss-"

"Okay, thanks." After phrasing this sentence, Mina hung up the line.

"Uh… why do I suddenly feel so dizzy? Am I that tired?" The moment she cut off the line though, an intense sense of weakness attacked her and due to being unsteady, she almost fell on the ground.

'I'm about to pass out… I must be really tired going through so many things in the span of these two days… I better go back home and rest as soon as possible.' Assuming that the reason for her being so light-headed must be due to the rough experiences she went through in these couple of days, she decided to leave immediately before actually fainting. So, looking at the unconscious man in front of her, she vocalized, "I'm sorry… but I have to leave. I've already called an ambulance… so please wait for help to arrive… this was all I could do for you… goodbye."

Afterward, Mina began to walk out of the alley as she slowly walked outside to the crowded streets and strolled toward a direction.

However, before even ten minutes had passed, she finally lost every last bit of strength remaining inside her as she collapsed on the hard ground as she blacked-out.

AT THE SAME TIME, INSIDE THAT DARK ALLEY

"Hmm… Was it just a prank call? There is no one here." Said a man looking at the empty dark alley in front of him.

"Here… fast! Come here quickly… I found some traces of blood in this corner." Shouted a woman from a few meters away.

Immediately rushing to the spot his partner was yelling from, the man truly discovered the ground filled with blood.

"Hmm… so the call was legit. But… where is the wounded person? Let me report this first." Promptly, the man went away and reported the whole strange phenomenon to the hospital.

"Static- There has been another emergency call from the nearby street… I believe that should be the patient you're looking for. Rush there at once, she seems to have fainted with her current condition unknown" A response arrived a few seconds later.

After receiving the new task, the man looked at his partner and uttered, "Let's go… the patient seems to have left the alley and passed out somewhere nearby."
