After a silent breakfast, Wu Xin rinsed her mouth and came back to see Lin Yu He in the living room with his cell phone, not knowing what he was doing.

She called out to Lin Yu He, "Come here. Let's finish up on the Lu family."

She was about to start the talk when she received a phone call. It was from Fang Mu Sen. The latter said, "Mdm. Wu, I'm on my way to pick up Mr. Lin, please inform him that he can pack up and get ready to go out."

Wu Xin frowned, but her tone was still polite: "This early?"

"Hmm." Fang Mu Sen only hummed in response. He had no intention to explain to Wu Xin.

Wu Xin could not object either, so she agreed and politely hung up the phone. Right after the call, she went to see Lin Yu He, but found him putting on his jacket. The way Lin Yu He looked showed that he knew he should head out right now.

Looking at the thick bunch of information she had prepared, Wu Xin's anger rose. She sneered, "Going out now?"

"Yes." Lin Yu He focused on wearing his jacket and replied without looking up, so he missed the expression on Wu Xin's face.

Wu Xin had been feeling distressed ever since she received the call from Fang Mu Sen last night. She had thought that Lin Yu He was up to something but she never went to find him after her husband calmed her down. Now that the flame of anger had been ignited, she could not stop herself.

"You want to avoid listening to this information so much, huh? You ask them to come to pick you up so early in the morning?" Wu Xin was seething but she laughed. "Even getting Assistant Fang to come, you and he have such a good relationship, huh?"

She simply did not believe that Lu Nan, who was always so busy with work, would take Lin Yu He out so early in the morning.

Lin Yu He looked up at her, looking slightly bewildered as if he didn't understand why Wu Xin would suddenly take offense. However, he replied calmly, so calmly that his tone sounded bland, "No, I suppose."

Wu Xin's smile turned stiff.

Lin's father heard the commotion and came over. He pulled Wu Xin and said, “Xiao He is not that kind of child, he’s very sensible. Let’s talk nicely, don’t be so mad at him.”

He turned his head to talk to Lin Yu He. Originally, he wanted to talk to him last night but the talk with Wu Xin went on longer than expected. For fear of disturbing Lin Yu He, Lin’s father didn’t go to his room.

Before Lin’s father could say a thing, Wu Xin sneered, “He’s sensible? I think he forgot himself and where he stands because Mr. Lu is fond of him. He’s not even listening to his elders now.”

She pointed at Lin Yu He and questioned him. "What gives you the confidence? Because Mr. Lu helped you out during the engagement party? Or because he gave you his card to spend? What? Do you really think he likes you? Don't make me laugh!"

The words spoken were so harsh even Lin’s father frowned.

The difference in treatment received by Lin Yu He and the Wu’s made Wu Xin very upset. This accumulated tension was triggered by Lin Yu He’s indifferent attitude today.

"Keep yourself in check and play your role properly," Wu Xin snorted coldly. "Don't think you can turn into a phoenix* after this act. "That's enough! Stop it!" Lin's father yelled with a very dark expression on his face.

It was an undeniable fact that they were selling off his son for wealth and fame. Her forcing the boy to be grateful was a direct poke at Lin's father's sore spot. He has always been very good-tempered, but at this moment, he could not bear to listen to any more of it.
