It was the shrill voice belonging to Wu Xiao Han as she exclaimed, “My mom is pregnant?!”

She seemed to have bumped into her parents who happened to come down while she was on the way up. A voice belonging to Lin Feng answered her, “Han Han, move aside first. Your mom fainted, we should bring her to the hospital-”

“What hospital?! You’re not allowed to go! Whoever allowed her to be pregnant?!” Wu Xiao Han shrieked.

She did not end there and continued to yell, “When you married my mom, you promised to only love me, why is there now another child?! You all lied to me!!!”

Lu Nan had already reached the car by that time and got on from the other side. He coldly ordered Fang Mu Sen, “Close the door.”

Once the door was shut, the noise was also cut off, and the car started moving out of the parking. However, Fang Mu Sen did not ride in the same car as them.

When the car started moving, the divider between the driver’s seat and the passenger’s seat at the back was also raised. It left them two alone in the enclosed space.

The heater was on in the car so Lin Yu He wanted to pull down the hood on his head but abruptly halted. He snuck a glance at the older man beside him to check for his reaction. When he noticed that man did not have any intention to stop him, Lin Yu He finally pulled down the hood from his head.

That man was searching for something inside the bag he brought back with him. He had his lips pursed as he was looking for the thing, it made him look colder than ever.

He finally spoke after finding the thing he was looking for. “Take off your mask.”

Lin Yu He took off his mask and took a breather to ease himself. He personally did not feel any discomfort, at least it was better now than when he just woke up earlier in the morning. However, Lu Nan’s gaze was fixed on the crack on his lips, and his expression was grim.

He continued to stare at Lin Yu He’s lips for some time before he averted his gaze. Lu Nan reached for a heated towel that was still steaming.

The towel was sanitized so it could be used directly on his lips to moisturize the dried skin. Lin Yu He said his thanks and reached to take the towel from Lu Nan. However, the latter had no intention to pass the towel over.

Lin Yu He blinked then said, “No need to trouble yourself for this, I can do it on my own…”

“Do you think you’re good at taking care of yourself?” Lu Nan responded.

There was not a change in Lu Nan’s tone that made it hard to discern any difference from the usual. However, his grip on the towel had tightened and the veins on the back of his hand could be clearly seen.

Lin Yu He was a little startled. He thought that Lu Nan had gotten angry.

Lu Nan never spoke again after that and directly reach over to press the towel against Lin Yu He’s lips. The method was very effective as Lin Yu He’s dried lips immediately moistened. The pain he felt was the crack was also dulled.
