WAR OF AGES

In plain near the hillside of the Majapahit, Agus stand from his seat and walk outside the command tent where he walks near the hill.

Suddenly as though something is watching him sweat started to form because of something as his underclothes soak. His men on the camp see the sudden arrival of the enemy reinforcement but instead of a drop of morale, the soldier was excited and jubilant as well.

They wish to try their skill and defeat the enemy who is a well-equipped and experienced soldier, the Majapahit's leader including Agus were paled after looking at their soldier and flabbergasted by the soldier's reaction.

The men that was resting heard of the arrival of the enemy reinforcement that they quickly run to their designated position which created three medium-sized formations mixed with spear and sword, while the rest remaining soldier formed another nine smaller squads which mostly made of an archer.

The large formation marches to the at the entrance of the hill while the smaller one marches to their designated area while they wait for the enemy arrival while waiting at the side of the hill, as they are covered in the bush at the side of the hill. Eager to fight the infamous enemy soldier that goes to battle for twelves campaign the soldier follows the command made their captain to the letter.

The battle will occur near the entrance of the forest which filled with trees, hill, and cliff, The entrance of the hill has trees at the side which may block any possible formation of horse or infantry to charge more than one direction.

Agus who is getting his outfit ready was informed by his general that the army is ready and waiting for his arrival, Walking out of his command tent and into one of three large formations he was escorted by his family legacy's soldier the Bahyang force.

Bahyangan force (Indonesian version of Shadow) is the soldier that is the most elite in the Majapahit army as they are the only one who had trained in their field of martial art. They were feared either by their allies and their enemy as well, trained in all aspect of battlefield martial art, stealth, mystical art, and individual harsh training where the current day soldier was more than inferior as they were like dust.

The only reason of the force destruction is not because of a large scale of battle or invasion but instead because of civil war that breaks the kingdom of Majapahit, which is the right of rule for the many siblings of crown prince which tear the kingdom apart.

Arriving at the center of the formation, Agus see that the Malacca's soldier total force has reached more than forty thousand men that already formed into formation while the rest is still forming up. Given a telescope by one of his generals, he looks into the enemy army which reveals that most of them were a bit tired after the grand march from the other battlefield but due their extreme discipline and experience they did not show any sign fatigue in front of their foe.

From what he sees the Malacca has sword-infantry, spear-infantry, axe-infantry, spear-cavalry, sword-cavalry, and many more soldier he yet to identify. The enemy formed one large formation while being escorted by enemy two cavalry medium-sized formation at its side.

What he saw the enemy come from any background of society and culture which making thing difficult for the chain of command but seeing the enemy formation did has any effect than the possibility to cause confusion and chaos were eliminated.

Suddenly the formation started to move closer to the Majapahit army as they are marching closely to him, the cavalry which is then split into another smaller formation which tried to head to attack Majapahit's rear formation.

Agus Calculated that the Malacca will try to attack his army from the rear thus putting the trap at the side of the hill.

"A trap everyone turns around" said by the front horseman.

As the formation about to leave, suddenly they were greeted by a volley of the arrow.

"Agh?!" as the man falls from his horse.

"Retreat!!! Agh!!!" as the captain of the group pierced at his c.h.e.s.t and stomach.

Almost the entire cavalry was decimated while only five of the hors.e.m.e.n survive the trap.

The first Malacca's medium-sized cavalry formation then started to charge the Majapahit formation which is near the hill entrance awaiting the Malacca to charges as both the group crash either by luck or not, Majapahit's army were penetrated as they charge to pass the formation killed the soldier on the front and the center while the side and the back survive the charge.

The first Majapahit's medium-sized formation was broken as the remaining survivor started to run for cover before forming another but smaller formation, while the Malacca's cavalry charging through they were then greeted by a volley of the arrow but due to their high alert preparedness the arrow could only kill only about three or five horseman.

Suddenly the enemy brought over an archer cavalry along with them which returned fire, causing casualties to Majapahit's archer about hundred fifteen lives were lost at that very moment.

Sustaining casualties the archer started to fire less frequently to reduce any further casualties for the coming battle, where they withdrew shortly from the battlefield.

The other Malacca small-sized party were still intact but they were greeted by an arrow which made them dismount from there and take cover as the arrow fly past them.

Majapahit's other archer then precise shot the enemy to reduce the arrow usage which then increases the number of casualties of the enemy soldier, as they were pinned down at the spot.

The secondary Malacca cavalry tried to charge Majapahit's formation but when they crashed the formation withstood their ground as they have the spear-infantry at the front stopping the charge completely in place.

The infantry section of the Malacca then followed as they charge in on Majapahit's right side where casualties were sustained, the formation then started to flee where Agus is stationed which could spell his doom.

The soldier that stationed at the center of the hill entrance started to retreat back as they will reform into two medium-sized formations which preparing against the Malacca cavalry and infantry charge, when the enemy formation reaches the Agus's formation they will be pincer attacked by both side which will make a significant damage on the enemy formation.

When the enemy arrives they proceed with caution with their shield on top of them as the enemy formation march slowly then as expected a volley of arrow rain down on them but none of the arrows find their mark on the Malacca's soldier.

"What's that noise?" said one of the rear side soldiers.

"Hm? didn't hear anything" answered by another soldier.

"Must be my ima-" as he falls with his head separated.

The hidden Majapahit's soldier beheaded the fallen man as he continues his rampage followed by another Majapahit soldier coming out from the nearby hidden trap door.

Surprised by the ambush the Malacca's force was faced with a dire situation as they were attacked from all direction at the same time, Habib was a bit surprised by the strategy Majapahit's strategy but he stayed calm under the situation.

"Brilliant enemy ambush, I must say where did they come from? nevertheless, split the formation second formation hunt those ambusher" said by Habib as he ordered his soldier.

Unwavering to the sudden change the Malacca's elite split into two formations as one of the marches to attack the ambushing party, the ambush party has great awareness that they stayed at the distance while few of them started to throw a javelin at the approaching formation.

Casualties are sustainable as the formation march closer to the ambushing party but then they unknowingly fell for the trap the ambush party had prepared for them, as the soldier who just put his left leg to the ground suddenly revealing hole where the spike was revealed for the unlucky soldier as they fall into the pitfall.

The poor soldier that has fallen then were pierced at their stomach, c.h.e.s.t, and/or their head respectively, instantly killing them when the momentum of their fall stop.

The back of the formation was then thrown a javelin by the ambush party where a large hole was made which kill a soldier at the back of the formation, uncovered by a shield the soldier that directly look at the enemy in front were then killed directly at their c.h.e.s.t or stomach.

"Move back, I said move ba-" as he was penetrated by javelin on his c.h.e.s.t.

"Wat-" as the soldier fall backward with the javelin on his stomach.

The Malacca's formation taken heavy casualties, as they were being volleyed by the ambush party while they move back with their shield up, at the front formation he heard that the second formation was almost decimated.

"What?! how did that happen?" he was surprised by the news.

"They fell into a pitfall, sir," said by the second in command.

Hearing what caused the formation near decimation, Habib almost turned insane as he laughs which surprised his men and even staggered them as they turn their head toward him.

He who is always in control of the battlefield or in command of everything that evolves in his hand suddenly the unknown person that came from a small kingdom suddenly turned the table on him, which excited him as he was always bored with everything that won easily with him as the victor.

"Sir?" the second in command asked Habib in low voice.

"Truly fascinating, an interesting foe," said Habib.

His soldier who is surprised by the sudden change of Habib was stunned.

"Men, This army is the most interesting we ever until today. We shall have a festival today, kill them all!!!" as Habib talk before shouted toward his men.

"... KILL!!!!!" the men were shocked but due their adrenaline turned on they followed along.

The formation that was fighting defensively while checking their flank started to turn into a frenzy as every individual suddenly charged into all direction as they were finding their prey.

Finding the Majapahit's soldier, they started to bash, slash, and stab their opponent to death, the battle that was fighting with formation turned into the killing field as the fight with two armies clashed together.

After Bashing, slashing, and stabbing enemy soldier before resting for a second another enemy soldier appeared in front of them which occurred in each passing second, as fatigue, sweat, and blood started to smear every soldier that is still fighting in the killing field as each soldier were fighting for their life.

Corpse started to fill the battlefield as each army killing each other in the blood bath, Sweat are forming as each soldier struggled for their lives as they fight to serve their lord.
