WAR OF AGES

As Agus walks out of his tent he saw most of his men already begun taking down their tent as they also prepared themselves for battle, while few of them still eating their breakfast outside the tent and the one who has finished their meal quickly followed suit and take down their camps.

Agus was first greeted by his young knight Manser as the other general arrive and greet them as they met both of them, Agus discuss the plan for the last time to make sure each of the generals knew what they should do during the siege as they previously discussed.

One thing needs to be mentioned that the siege engine will be built ready for the siege but was made into a small part and carried able condition as they need to cross a small island near the Singapore strait before landing to the bay shells.

Hearing the plan for one last time they nod they knew what they should do next as they nod and walk away to each of their army as they prepare the siege within the minute Agus's order, Manser who is at his side quickly open his mouth as he was nervous of the campaign.

"My lord, I'm not sure we could get the enemy emperor on the trade hub in this campaign. I could assume he could escape" said Manser.

"Yes, I could also agree with that but I could only hope we could get him," said Agus as he watches the horizon. "Yes, Lord." as Manser follows Agus's gaze in silent.

"Well, time to get moving perhaps. Is everything ready?" at first he talks in a bit low voice, next he shouted to the camp.

"Yes, sir... we still have one more still taking down their tent." said one of the soldiers who is still packing his tool near both of them.

"Then let them follow us after they are done, the rest onward to the enemy city," said Agus as he gets on his horse. "Yes, Sir." shouted by all the soldier and general on the army.

One hour has passed as the army marches down from the hill and to the beaches near the Guntung River as they have prepared many boats they built the night before as they embarked on it after they loaded the soldier on it no ship nor boat worth mentioning were seen on the horizon only small and unarmed boat that looks to be fisherman boat come across by them but were ignored and so did the fisherman as they only cared for their survival on the wild not interfering on politic that may danger their own lives.

What supposes to take them for three-day travel were shortened as the wind was either unfortunately or fortunately for the Majapahit army they landed directly near the Pasir Gudang or the Warehouse Sand which were unexpected by the Malacca army as they already sent their army on the bay shells.

Arriving at the location they were found by the villager but none of them felt threatened as they also knew if they told the Malacca's army they would be killed by the Majapahit army as such they could only celebrate their coming and hope that they would be spared from the loot and massacre.

At first the soldier were wary but later Agus and some of the soldier noticed that they were celebrating their arrival but they refused such offer and Agus wish to pay for the item they wish to trade turned into bargain as the transaction occurred after obtaining what the army wished they continued marching to Johor as they lay siege on the town that was fortified by the wall.

After spotting the army coming to the town, the scout was sent to the army hoping to return for them to return quickly but alas the army just traveled as quickly as they can to the Bay Shells was exhausted that they needed to rest which could take for one day before turning back to Johor.

After arriving in the vicinity of Johor town, the Majapahit army then put up their tent as well setting up the siege engine they previously prepared but due to the change of wind and strong wind to the east some part was broken thus from sixty siege engine were reduced to thirty eight or so as siege engine that we're able to be installed while the rest either damaged, broken or has missing part.

The town soldier was on the watch as they look at the enemy campsite stretching from the eastern side of the town to the western side of it as the campsite bustle as the sound of the hammer were heard across the camp as it was also heard by the soldier as they look from the top of the wall.

"The enemy is setting up the tent?" said an officer of the Malacca. "Yes, sir" answered one of the soldiers.

"Can you take a look at the enemy?" as the officer added.

"... I will try, sir." as another soldier walks to the other wall as he takes cover behind one of it.

The soldier at first which seems normal and meant only to take a look at the campsite from the town wall but unluckily for him, he was noticed by one of the individuals who were on the camp taking a guard duty as he peers at the castle wall.

Not noticing he was already been found he then revealing himself more but slowly before suddenly an arrow flies through the air as it landed directly on the soldier's forehead embedded deep on the skull of his head as the person in question falls on the floor with back on the ground and his eyes turned empty instantly as he was in disbelief that he died with an arrow landed on his forehead.

"What the hell?!!" said the other soldier.

"That is insane!? wait, how did they?" said the soldier at the side of the dead man. "Impossible!!!" as he added.

Everyone on that location was dumbfounded by the incident where the soldier was killed in second precision and killed without him even blinking his eye while the officer, on the other hand, could only be turned pale as he looks at the soldier on the floor with an arrow on his forehead.

"Anyone else? would like to volunteer" said the officer.

"..." as all the soldier shook their head in refusal at the same time.

The person who shot the arrow was none other than Manser one of the individual selected by Agus to lead an command the current hundred man Ranger soldier who specialized in ranged as well as close-quarter combat, while the man in question recently was given a new bow specially made and requested by Agus as he designed it himself which has different feature than other bows.

As the differences of the bow, where Manser used were located on the top and below of the bow where its strings came from the inner side of the bow as it uses the same mechanism of a crossbow that pulls the rope quickly to its original spot in order to throw the arrow faster much longer range and with Manser's skill no matter how impossible the environment was it would reach its target with ease.

Manser equipped with a bow crafted by the Majapahit soldier made it impossible for the enemy to see the camp without getting killed right away, while indeed Agus thought of the weapon himself and thought it would increase Manser skill ability to kill his target but Agus would never expect he would kill the enemy on hard and impossible environment were killed by one hot.

The day before news was told to them that the frontline was fallen as Habib and his entire army were destroyed within one day, at the same time they knew the one in front of them was that army who destroyed Habib's army and they knew charging to the front without strategy means losing their lives and if they run are executed as a deserter so they were out of option.

Before long a soldier came with an idea as he volunteers with his squad to start a volley on the enemy camp to harm or stall the enemy from finishing the camp or their siege engine thus the soldier put up a formation with his squad as they prepare and nock their arrow.

On the other hand, minutes have passed as Agus was watching his men constructing the siege tower or building few more ladder before suddenly he felt odd with the enemy.

Agus noticed something that flew from the castle wall before he quickly shouted toward his men.

"Take cover," said Agus.

Even though he was quick to react but the damage was near the limit for his army as he brought close to two thousand men, those who heard the shout quickly run for cover but some of them survived while the other did not as their corpse were on ground as it falls to the ground as they lost their lives.

While their also those who were not in cover but they survived the incident as they were either wounded to heavily wounded as they were taken out from the area to pull the arrow before stitched the wound from the arrow.

Agus quickly shouted Manser to stop the next volley of arrow as they ordered to return fire at the enemy after Manser run toward his hundred men, he quickly calculated where the arrow came from as he fires two volleys behind the enemy wall before hearing a scream behind it then he ordered his men to fire four volleys at where he targeted on.

As the scream was no longer heard, Manser tell his men to stop the volley but keep on the watch on to the wall along with his men.

At the same time, Agus looks over the wall as the camp were in the stop as the army was patching the wounded as well half of the siege engine as it was being constructed, Agus who seeing the ladder was rather much shorter than the wall he made an idea of binding the ladder together to extend its length much further.

The wall was twenty-meter tall and when the soldier saw it they agreed to do it but as they tried to bind it together what happened was the ladder was two meters shorter than the wall but that did not make the army difficult as some of the soldiers of the Majapahit were tree climber before working the army thus it plays a role in the siege.

The siege will start with the army mixed with the special existence of Bahyang men who will spearhead the town wall as they will capture it and hold the position until the gate was opened to the army.

Hour before the siege start the enemy once more started to rain volley once more but this time, the army was prepared as it started to bombard their position and were in a cover so none of the arrows managed to do any more damage to them.

When the volley was subsidized and no longer firing, the army then started to move the siege engine and push the siege tower to the city wall and the ladder being carried by four men as they followed the siege tower from behind and when they are close enough they started to spread out and put the ladder to the wall.

The enemy seeing the army move they started to fire arrow after arrow at the approaching enemy and the made damage to them before suddenly one of the archers were thrown back to the ground with a javelin stick on his c.h.e.s.t.

"What?! Ali damn, how did they?" said the other soldier near him.

The other soldier was surprised that he looks who throws the Javelin before he was also killed by the thrower as he was impaled directly on his neck as he falls to the floor with his hand on it.

"Okay, another one down... I'm done with my new record." said pale skin man who is looking at the wall. "I will not that one for you." said a tanned man nearby.

"No need, let's finish this up and grab a drink later." said the paled man.

The man grabs and pulled javelin from his back which is tightened by the rope, then he prepared to throw it at the enemy once more and that person was Ray as he throws it at the enemy and it was a bit further than before but only managed to harm the soldier instead.
